The bottom line is that our application for VA Aid & Attendance was approved. I did appreciate having a very clear list of deliverables that I needed to provide for the application process. Beyond that, though, I was unhappy with the support I received whenever I had a question. My contact person was not responsive and when I did get a response, she did not directly address the question I was asking. I also would receive repeated calls from various other people to check to see if I had sent in certain forms … but the right hand did not seem to know what the left hand was doing.
My biggest problem was the fact that all the information for the application was provided in plenty of time for them to send the application in by the end of the month and I called and emailed to make sure they knew that everything had been provided. Even so, the application wasn’t sent in until the first day of the next month. This meant that, once we were approved, I did not receive any funds for the month prior to when they filed. THEN when I called about that, my contact was hard to reach and had no reason for the delay. Did not apologize, and really had no excuse. I escalated to the president of the organization and was simply told that she would “talk with” my contact person. That was the last I heard.
I did not know my application was approved until the money showed up in my account 5 months later.

Communication was great. They provided a well organized approach to submitting documents to the VA so that my application for benefits did not have any questions or delays by the VA. My application was approved by the VA in the time estimated by AVA. I would have had great difficulty submitting my application for benefits if I had tried to do it on my own. My main complaint with AVA is that my cost to use their service was not clearly disclosed at the start of the process, which would have allowed me to determine whether or not to use their service. I was only vaguely provided an estimate. A clear written disclosure of terms and conditions provided before asking me to sign up would have been preferred. However, their services were worth avoiding the complexity of dealing directly with the VA and probably incurring significant delay in getting approval of the Aid and Attendance Pension for my wife, who is bed-ridden with Alzheimer's. The pension significantly aids in paying the cost of her care.

The AVA guidebook was informative and very helpful for the application process. Everyone I dealt with (on behalf of our 90 yr old Mom) via phone or email was professional, understanding, and very responsive. I was impressed with the turnaround time with every document I sent in via email, and it was confirmed as received as received with a return email. We had requested expedited processing due to age and declining health; and it was honored. Thank you!

American Veterans Aid took the reins, coached and assisted me through the application process, and my mother was awarded aid within 5 months. This was money well spent. I am not sure if I could have gone through the rigorous application process alone.

American Veterans Aid made the complex simple. They walked us through the application process, double checked that everything was filled out correctly and helped us provide the requested follow up materials on time. Without their help I do not think we could have completed the process. I find paperwork frustrating and without their help I don't think I could have completed what was required correctly. Great communication with us throughout the entire process.

To navigate through the complex forms, documents and at times hard to understand instructions the VA requires to try and get compensation for a loved one. It's great to see a company like American Verteans Aid guide us through the process with relative ease. Well worth the cost and the service was great. Would highly recommend.

Experience was splendid. They are trustworthy ... do what they say they will do and when. Also, they do not drag their feet. They get things done in a timely manner. I have never dealt with such a company as this. Integrity plus are two words to describe them.

My family and I are thrilled with American Veterans Aid. The service they provided was invaluable, the process was easy to follow and understand and the representatives we worked with were attentive and caring. The work we personally had to do in collecting the data to supply to American Veterans Aid was challenging and took some time, but once all the information was gathered, we were walked through the process easily. Our mom received her benefits in approximately 4 months and we could not be happier.

The idea of giving help is greatly appreciated. It talk along time to receive a check. I gave page after page of info and was told a monthly figure would be coming soon. It was about 7 months and not the figure I was told. I do appreciate the help I'm getting but it was hard to wait for so long. Made me wonder???

Representative was very helpful and explained everything that I needed to know and provide through the entire process. All the documents I provided were quickly reviewed and I was notified of any additional information required. The process was very thorough and successful. I am very pleased with the results of this program. This program has been extremely helpful an important aid to the care of my 91 year old mother in law. Thank you for caring enough to assist those veterans and their spouses with the aid they earned and deserve. Without your caring team of professionals my loved one would not have ever known of the funds that are available. God bless you in this very worthwhile endeavor.

They worked very hard and got us approved very quickly i so appreciate it som much.

From the first phone call to actually receiving the benefits took about 8 months. The papers spent exactly 6 months in house with the VA. We were not one of the lucky cases that got approval super quick because of the timing. The VA was overwhelmed with dealing the Camp LeJeune cases. This was of no fault of the AVA.
Our experience with AVA was stellar from the start. They were professional, consistant, caring and responsive. I was very overwhelmed when it became obvious that my Dad needed help. When he developed dementia, then fell breaking a hip and arm, I was at my wits end. Dealing with Doctors, nursing facilites and all of the finances was very stressful. AVA took one of my major stressors off my mind. I may have been able to do it by myself, but I am so glad that I had their guidance.

I am so thankful I found American Veterans Aid! They helped me successfully navigate the VA benefits application process which I had tried and failed previously. My mom is now receiving benefits that will help pay for her in-home care and allow her to stay in her home. I am so grateful for the AVA!

We were extremely skeptical of this entire process, we had never heard of the benefit and were not sure if we even qualified. AVA was on top of everything from start to finish. Amazing customer service and they did everything they said they were going to do and more. Could not be happier that we trusted them with this whole process.
