I am not impressed so far. I see no relativity to me or my family in the report so far

Telling an Indian person that they are Indian is useless as far as results are concerned. If you do not have enough DNA data on India, you should be transparent and say that on your website and we would not be wasting our money.
The DNA results said I am Indian, I already know that, there are hundreds of tribes, cultures, etc, within India. It is like telling someone that they are European. It is like telling an Italian person that they are Italian, they already know this.
This is misrepresentation on Ancestry's part on what kind of information they are able to deduct from certain regions of the world. I would never have paid so much to find out what I know already.
If you do not have enough data on certain countries, then you should be transparent, be honest and state that on your website so we are not spending money for useless results. It was when I talked to the customer service that they stated that ancestry does not have enough information on India. They said that they are waiting for more people to be tested from that region to actually have more detailed information. So to tell a person who is from India that they are Indian is useless, and money wasted.
I would like a full refund because you have misrepresented your DNA tracking abilities on your site. This business practice borders on the line of being unethical.

Fantastic. Quick and easy to use

Better results than other services. I tried a different well known DNA ancestry service and my results were just okay with only a single result on my Father's side (and so far removed, it was useless). Ancestry DNA gave me more results to explore so I'm happy with that. However, also like this other service, the genetic traits weren't very accurate, but that wasn't really why I did the test so I'm fine with that. Ancestry DNA is the only service I would recommend and the only one I will continue to pay for.

I really loved the ability to reach out to family members that I never meet before and it answered my question of where did I come from.

Ancestry is awesome - they kept me informed all along regarding getting my DNA results!

Awesome to know my ethnicity and possibly meet some relatives I wasn’t aware of.

It’s extremely difficult to get access to the information for an81 tear old who’s not that au fait with the internet. You just keep making it more and more complex.

It was quite revealing..I am actually awestruck...

Interesting to find out some of my origins. Large amount of information to digest, would like to have some more breakdown of the results e.g. if it says you are of Mediterranean decent, more detail! Italian? Greek? Turkish? Too generalized, I would like more specifics!

I had my DNA done, so that the person we know, wanted to know, what relation is she to me.
My DNA, came back and it said that am her 1st cousin but on her DNA says she is a close relation to me. We know she is a close relation because am her 1st cousin. What we want to know with this DNA is what is she to me — cousin, 1st cousin, 2nd cousin, what? Close relation doesn’t mean anything to us. That is the reason we will not recommend your DNA Please try to fix our situation

Ancestry.com was very easy to use! I highly recommend. They are very transparent about the process of what is happening. The results are interesting to read once you do get your results.

Difficult to use. Did not get any results that matched.

No way I am only central,eastern china and southern China. My family come from Japan and they have brown eyes same as European. I think ancestry doesn’t have enough data for Asian people. It is more likely better for European and American who want to test their DNA

DNA results indicate southern India whereas I am from northern India. Also my grandmother was a Portuguese lady. This does not show up on my DNA results.

Ancestry was straight forward. What they say is what will take place. They communicate regularly to give you updates.
The final report is comprehensive and well laid out.
The process was smooth.

I am not very happy that I got information that I already knew. You gave me hundreds of people with a possible 1% DNA ????? really. So So disappointed I should have spent my money on more important things...like food.

The kit was given as a gift. I know very little about my maternal grandmother as she died when my mom was 4 years old. My mother never knew much about her. I don't know much about my paternal grandfather as my grandmother remarried.
I only got what I pieced together myself. I was very disappointed.

It was a great experience and confirmed my understanding of my roots. It was fun to share the results of my family origins with my family, especially the grandkids.

I had great and quick results from my DNA test but now it is going to cost me an arm and a leg to follow up on any links (new information) or to gather any information at all. You would have thought that if you bought the DNA package you would be given several free months to learn how to maneuver around the Ancestry site which I found to be not very user friendly
