Third world bus service.

If I could give them minus -5 stars I would. I have never experienced such an inefficient transport service. “Direct” to Zagreb from Crikvenica means that the bus will show up 15 minutes late and then the bus driver requires another 20 minutes to load bags, take payment for said bags, place stickers on bags and print receipts. And there is no add luggage option on the app at the time of booking your ticket. Then when he didn’t hand us the receipt like he had everyone before us we asked for it and he abused us that why would he steal €1.30 For The luggage. Then entering the bus he had to scan every single QR code, the machine broke, the bus driver had no help from any other staff. When we asked for the manager they were non existent. We set off 45 minutes late. Avoid. Never travelling with them again.

Bus not operating, no refund

Bus not operating, no refund.
We bought our tickets online and waited at the bus-station. There was no bus coming and even the following bus didn‘t go.
Tried to get a refund but the service is a desaster. They kept our money and lied to us.
Keep away from Arriva!

Terrible - AVOID, AVOID, AVOID

Terrible. We are from UK and tried to get Arriva bus from Split to Baska Voda. Bus arrived 30 mins late. Woman refused to allow any non-Croatians on the bus until all Croatians had boarded. UK and German families were barked at “WAIT” multiple times by woman worker. Then she finally allowed the German family on and our 2 daughters aged 15 and
12 but tried to prevent us - their parents - from boarding.
Treated like animals. Shocking.

Prevarantska firma

Prevarantska firma. Zatražena je odgoda putovanja za kupljenu kartu zbog bolesti i to 12 sati prije polaska (njihovo pravilo je najmanje 2 sata prije polaska). Vratili su samo povrat za povratnu kartu pravdajući se da smo zakasnili iako smo ih 12 sati prije obavijestili o tome. (oni su odgovorili tek ujutro). Još k tome umanjili su iznos za -10% iako se to odnosi samo ako ne planiramo koristiti njihove usluge (a tražili smo samo odgodu).
Nemojte niti pokušavati ih zvati na telefon jer se nitko ne javlja nikada.

Kupljena karta za relaciju Rovinj

Kupljena karta za relaciju Rovinj - Zagreb direktna linija koja je trebala trajati od 7:55 do 11:40.
Bez ikakvog obrazloženja linija ide kroz Labin i Pulu! Putnicima ništa nije objašnjeno, niti na njihov zahtjev te na cilj stižemo u 13:30 sa dva sata zakašnjenja!
Sramota.Na kraju smo doznali da je bus koji je trebao krenuti za Pulu pola sata ranije iz Zagreba kasnio i umjesto dvije linije objedinjeno u jednu liniju koja je nakon Pule nastavila za Rovinj! Užas, a sjedala dva put rezervirana normalno.
Neprofesionalno i sramotno!

Arriva driver leaves tourists on hiway station.

I bought ticket online. Info on ticket gave location busstop (fuzine HR) This busstop seems to have moved A YEAR AGO !! So..had to buy 2nd ticket. Omnio says arriva is responsible. Arriva says Omnio is responsible. And I pay the bill.

Finally I was in the bus from fuzine to Zagreb. We stopped at gasstation / mcdonalds on highway. The driver whispered something that even the croatians didn't understand. 5 ? (Korean?) Tourists went out and weren't back after 10 minutes. Driver honked a few times and then left. He didnt even go out and look for 1 minute!! The tourists still had their handluggage in the bus!!
As far as I can see, the driver was wrong; no clearly spoken info AND no extra effort to find the lost passengers.

Terrible experience...

Terrible experience...on the way from Lovran to Rovinj today, one of the passengers took other passenger luggage by mistake (although there is a conducter CHARGING every piece of the luggage but NOT CHECKING who is taking out what), the passenger reacted outside & the passengers inside immediatelly informed the driver, who DIDN'T STOP, BUT CONTINUED THE TRIP...saying "THIS IS NOT A BIKE, I CAN'T TURN AROUND when u wish for"...The driver was completely RUDE when asnwering any question related to the bus stations...

Buses are running how they want

Buses are running how they want. Almost never on time. In schedule it was 11:53am and bus arrived 12:23pm. Moreover even we had ticket we had to stand 30 minutes (why if we bought ticket the previous day via internet?). But the worst thing is that we wanted to get to Airport and 15:05 was our transfer. Arriva arrived 14:40 rather than 14:10 how it was in schedule. Because of that we had to take taxi. Without that we probably wouldnt have flown.
Another buses are late too, but it is 5-10 minutes, not half an hour. We didnt even get any information about delay.
We dont understand why you have to pay for your luggage left in hatch, we meet with that first time in our life. Also the staff could be more polite and speak better English. We think Croatia is tourist country and good knowledge of this language is mandatory.
What is more there should be written on board in front by which cities bus goes, when you are tourist you dont have to know and we let the bus past and cant even receive a refund.

Outrageous service

The buses are dirty, the drivers do not speak English and are not helpful at all. Also, there is no transparent communication on the website that the fee of the luggage is not included in the price of the ticket. We had to pay for the luggages in cash and obviously did not receive any receipt of the transaction. On top of this, there was a delay of 50 minutes without a single apology from the drivers. This service is outrageous and very expensive as well. I will never use Arriva again if I come to Croatia.

40 min. Delay

On a way From Baška to Zagreb 40 min. delay. I diddn't catch my flight a had to pay 200 € for the next one. On the start they arrived late, then I noticed that at the penultimate stop on the island of Krk, we are already 20 minutes late. Nevertheless, we made an absolutely pointless 15-minute break on a highway

If zero stars was possible I would rate that. Arrived 45 minutes late to Trogir. Left waiting for an hour in the heat because they ask you to turn up 15 mins early; Really horrible driver and luggage boy. The website said our luggage was included. They wouldn’t let me on the bus unless I paid them 1 eur cash. I didn’t have any cash. He threw my bag off the bus and wouldn’t let me on. Luckily a very kind fellow traveller gave me some cash and I was allowed on. He decided I now owed 1,30eur. So dishonest. Also Busses are hot and smelly and disgusting.

Verschrikkelijke service, niet doen.

Verschrikkelijke service. We hadden de bus geboekt van Zadar naar Split van 22.30 uur en deze was niet gekomen. Er stond nog een andere bus van 20.30 uur te wachten, deze had vertraging. Deze hebben we genomen en de reis duurde langer dan 3 uur met vele stops door heel Kroatië. De chauffeur was aan het rijden met zijn grote lampen aan door de bergen, agressief hard rijgedrag. Het was een onprettige ervaring. Tevens staat er een emergency nummer op het ticket maar hier heb je niets aan, dit nummer werkt niet.

Bus did not come

Choose the bus from trogir to split. We waited almost an hour, not able to contact anyone. When a arriva bus arrived we asked the driver kindly for help if he could maybe give us a information about the delay. He said he doesn’t know and left. had to take a taxi which was obviously way more expensive… not gonna book there again.

Bus was overbooked

We bought our tickets online through Omio and once we got there, we had to pay for luggage so we were waiting to do so. When we went to get on the bus, they said the bus was full. The bus driver took my money for our luggage knowing it was full and then said you paid online, deal with them (online). At first, he didn't want to reimburse us, but after protesting, he eventually he did (small sum 2.60 €) but it's the principal. We ended buying tickets at the train station with another company to Zadar - Varazdin. We paid more online for Arriva this much better service. I'm not sure if we should've bought at the station vs online, but we were happy we didn't have to wait hours until the next bus.

Very old bus with broken seats and…

Very old bus with broken seats and broken air conditioner!!!! The seats are so dirty and it was so disgusting to seat.

Even though I bought the ticket with a small backpack below 7 kg, I was asked very rudely by the driver to pay 2 euro and check-in put my backpack. I tried to oppose but he was so rude and disrespectful such I was forced to behave against my principles to let the drama play he stared finished as soon as possible. I would not recommend this company at all.

I guess the satisfied customers just don't leave reviews ...

Almost didn't book because of the bad reviews here, but there wasn't another option to get from Rijeka to Rovinj and back, so I booked anyway. Just wanted to leave a review to reflect my experience -- which was completely fine.

- Yes, the drivers do charge you 1,30 per bag that they store in the baggage area of the bus and arriva doesn't communicate this clearly in advance. But the drivers had change both times so even when you don't have the right spare change, you can pay (OR take your bag on the bus, which is also an option!) There isn't an issue paying an additional euro or two for the extra weight of your bags (in my opinion).

- Yes I witnessed the drivers being rather unfriendly to some travellers, but only when the travellers were, too, to be fair. They try to be on time, which I guess means they can become impatient, too.

- The bus Rijeka-Rovinj left on time and arrived a little late (which I don't blame them for because they can't control traffic and have to go through several cities, and in each city argue with customers who don't want to pay 1,30 for luggage ;) )

- The bus Rovinj-Rijeka departed around 20 mins late and arrived maybe half an hour late, which I think is totally acceptable for an Intercity Transfer on the roads.

The bus was full so there are a lot more travellers having had this exact experience, I guess people just don't think about leaving a positive review for a bus company when everything went according to plan. Bus rides are long and boring, after all. ;)I would book them again!

Vrlo kvalitetni i cisti prozori,drške je lako koristit, mrezica je sigurna i crvsta te sam se tokom cijele voznje osijecala sigurno i uzivala sam u svakoj sekundi. Moje kosti su se oporavile. Hvala na svemu. Ovo iskustvo mi je uljepsalo zivot.

SCAM - takes your cash, makes you pay twice, no return options

Absolutely do not recommend this company to anyone. We purchased open return tickets from Split - Trogir, specifically selecting Adult tickets. Once we were on the bus, they claimed we purchased children tickets and made us pay again, in cash. We could not even use our return journey because all the times were sold out. These people just collect your money and provide horrible service, completely unhelpful. We heard multiple tourists on the bus also supposedly purchased “children” tickets. Stay away from this company!!! I have travelled all over Europe and never encountered a company as bad as this.
