Arval's service was pretty much seamless. I was introduced to them by a broker and the online contract offer and acceptance process was very efficient. The supplied information was comprehensive and the car just arrived as promised without drama.

Since I have done a deal with Arval to lease the car. They are excellent with the sales team, delivery team and the service team too.

I have a lease car through my limited company with Arval. I took it to the dealer as the car had a wobble on the steering wheel. It turned out that all that was needed to rectify the issue was fitting 2 new front tyres. The car was not able to be driven home as the tyres we very worn. The dealer had the tyres on stock but it was an absolute nightmare getting Arval to authorise them to fit them. I arrived at dealership at 8.30am. At 1pm Arval had still not authorised the fitting of the new tyres. I had my 8 year old son with me and having to wait over 5 hours is completely unacceptable.

I have had my lease car nearly two years and in that time had 2 services and needed tyres on 2 occasions, each time has been hassle free and even ordering the car was easy with regular updates and a calculator for the company car tax to help make your choice. I would recommend Arval as i have not had a negative experience so far and the staff are always helpful when you contact them.

I always get my questions answered quickly and efficiently if I need to contact Arval. Also, their servicing and maintenance system is first class. It’s my first lease car via them but it won’t be my last.

I have had a car on hire for almost 4 years with Arval.
Throughout these 4 years Arval have been very helpful throughout authorising services, MOT's and tyre replacements.
I am also very impressed with, at the end of the lease, you, or a family member/friend have an option to buy at a reasonable price- all in all an excellent service

It always starts off great during the contracting phase, but after that? The customer service is abysmal. No one takes any responsibility, and it’s honestly not worth all the hassle.

Worse service if you do a leasing with tyres service
I have a BYD Sealion 7, which had a tyre puncture, not able to be fixed, needs to be replaced which I pay an extra £27/month for that.
The vehicle comes with Continental Tyres but Carline (Arval entity for Tyres but still within the group) does not work with Continental, only Michelin or Khumo (per their highest standards..), so after 5x calls, they state they can replace the damaged tyre with a Michelin but BYD and other larger XL vehicles are suggested to change in pairs, so I would need 2 tyres. This was denied and even for this permission, Carline asked to contact Arval for permission, instead of asking internally.
Booking was made at Halfords and Kwik Fit and they strongly suggested I change in pairs due to the vehicle being an EV and mismatch of grip, handling and possible car accident while making a sharo turn even at low speed due to the torque of EVs.
Arval booked the review at Halfords and stated their ordered the tyre but it Halfords mention it is in job order but they didnt order.
Currently im on my 3rd day without a tyre, probably tomorrow will be the day and inflating the tyre 3..4x times a day while completely stopped in order not to get the aixle damaged.
Note that Arval disregards safety suggestions to save money on proper tyres guidelines as currently there is no Law in UK that mandates both tyres to be changed, but in France and Poland its mandatory, especially on heavy cars.
I had leasing with Marshal and other companies and paid for the same service and they replaced both tyres and their maintenance package is slightly cheaper.
Pitty that a company that belongs to BNP Paribas prefers to save £100 while putting in danger their customers.
Post edit: friday 13th, Arval booked the tyre but never ordered, so its delayed, still with no Tyre after days waiting and cost of pumping the tyre 3..4x times a day in petrol stations

Always seven star service. Being a Bollywood singer, I have to travel a lot and whenever I needed Arval, found them there n then. Im one of the happiest customers out of millions others. Today, wh n I phone them, a lady called Faye, was so kind and helpful. Thank you Arval

UPDATE (11 Apr 2026): Contrary to their response, we're now into April and still do not have the car I am STILL PAYING FOR. Customer service is non-existent. Don't care once they have your money, and you can't even reject the car, even though it has been in warranty repair for over 2 months.
ORIGINAL POST (11th Feb):
Shambles is the politest word I can use. Car broke down (warranty issue), they arranged with RAC for it to be taken to garage, and was advised I'd get a hire car replacement (for 7 days) and was given a number to call. Called them (who were actually RAC), who said they'd only give a hire car for 2 days, not 7, which is no use, as the garage say they can't work on the car for 3 weeks. Spent hours on the phone, being redirected from hire company, breakdown company, finance company, leasing company, (all of which keep you on hold for at least 30 minutes a time) and still no progress. So I am now paying Arval for a car I cant use - unbelievable. NEVER AGAIN ARVAL. So could be left for months without a car, but not their problem (but they still want me to pay for it)

Since 16th January we have been ignored regarding our lease car which is not fit for purpose due to faulty break pads. We have been given a complaint ref, booked into a garage but dropped into silence everyday we query why they are asking us to pay for a car less than a year old whose manufacturer guidelines have a minimum of 25,000 miles on break pads which have gone after 11,000. We even have our broker trying to contact them and they ignore them too. Im surprised at all the good reviews - they have zero customer service and complaint references mean nothing to them as they are simply ignoring us and dealing with nothing. Dreadful service, avoid.

Passed around a few times. Put in hold for 5 mins just to find out how long the waiting time was for another advisor.
Didn’t resolve query. Disappointed, tempted to not used areal for future lease.

Josh the reservations handler was great - I bought a used car from them, there was a slight issue with the car and how they dealt with the problem was exemplary.
Delivery of the vehicle was smooth but as expected.
Service first class.
