We are just back from a 22 day trip to Vietnam

Starting in Hanoi and going on to Ninh Binh, Mai Chau, LAN Ha Bay, Hue, Hoi An, Tra Nhang , the Mekong delta and Ho Chi Minh City.

The standard of the cars, hotels, drivers and guides in the various places visited was top class and everything went seamlessly.

There was constant communication by WhatsApp from both Emmy and the guides.
We changed the itinerary a few times during the trip and these changes were handled flawlessly.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Asia Pioneer to any traveller looking for an easy visit to Vietnam or elsewhere in South East Asia.

On the trip itself we found Vietnam to be charming with great food and sights all over the country.

What a wonderful trip!!! Our travel specialists Maris worked with us to tailor a 2 week visit to Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand. Maris listened to our travel preferences and developed an itinerary that was perfect for us. We got to visit markets and cultural sites. We had wonderful experiences with all of our guides who made us feel like friends.
Part of what made it really special was Maris' attentiveness. She helped put us at ease by communicating with us so that we knew what to expect and were comfortable that all of the logistics had been handled. She even made the effort to meet us in person while we were in Hanoi.
This was our first visit to Southeast Asia. It will not be our last! I look forward to working with Maris and the Asia Pioneer team to plan another unforgettable adventure.

Our experience with Rachel and Asia Pioneer Travel was fantastic! We were completely thrilled with the thoughtful, detailed and thorough planning and the fact that Rachel kept in touch with us every step of the way and was 100% on top of every wish and request we made along the way. She is simply the best. Our 21 day trip started in Ho Chi Minh City, then took us up the Mekong Delta into Cambodia. From there we travelled to Hanoi, HaLong Bay and back to Hanoi. Every driver was courteous and on time, every tour guide was knowledgeable and helpful and every vehicle was roomy, clean and comfortable. We particularly loved the boutique hotel - the Allure - in Hanoi, the pho lunch and the multi-course Vietnamese dinner; great choices that gave us a true appreciation for the vibrancy and cool vibe of Hanoi's Old Quarter. The excursions were the perfect length of time to experience them while allowing time to relax afterward. Our favorite part of our trip for relaxing was the Stellar of the Seas cruise Rachel booked for us. We were so impressed with the quality of the ship, the accommodations, the food and the staff, not to mention the incredible beauty of the bay and the limestone karsts, we elected to stay a 2nd night, and as Rachel did so many times for us, she smoothly adjusted our itinerary flawlessly. We can't recommend this agency enough - it delivered the experience of a lifetime. We will want to return to Vietnam to see Sapa, DaNang and Hoi An and when we do, Asia Pioneer Travel and Rachel specifically will be our first stop to plan the trip.

We are a couple in our 60s and Vietnam has always been on our bucket list.
Knowing very little about how, and where to travel, we researched many travel agencies to help us plan our trip of a lifetime. We settled on Asia Pioneer Travel. And more specifically, Rachel of Asia Pioneer.
We provided Rachel with ideas as to where we would like to travel and she put together an unbelievable in-depth itinerary.
Some of the regions we did want to see were unfortunately inundated with heavy rainfall. No Robles though. We contacted Rachel and she went to work (in record time I might add), and with our input, she provided great alternatives.
In all, we changed our itinerary 3-4 times. The changes were mostly the result of talking with other travellers visiting areas that peaked our interest. For example, we asked Rachel to book us a two day (one night) cruise in Lan Ha Bay. Once on the cruise, we realized that two days were not nearly enough to take in the absolute beauty of the region. One quick message to Rachel via WhatsApp and within literally an hour, she was able to cancel some of our itinerary (hotels, drivers), and secured another night on the cruise ship.
Rachel’s English speaking g and communication skills are impeccable. In addition, she would always be available at any ti e of the day via WhatsApp (phone or text).
Meeting up with Rachel in Hanoi was the “icing on the cake”! She is truly genuine and it is very evident to see that she only wants the best for her clients. Each and every time we changed our itinerary, Rachel would provide an incredible and thorough updated schedule. Our tour also included private drivers to bring us to different venues and regions.
In my honest opinion, we could not have experienced such a wonderful tour without the help of Rachel of Asia Pioneer. She did it all for us, from booking and canceling planes and hotels at our request, to site seeing, cruises, recommended dinners, etc. All very favourable, and surprisingly at very little cost.

Just back from an incredible trip through Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand. Itinerary put together with Asia Pioneer Travel which included every type of transport, food and experience we could wish for.
Winston, our travel consultant put together an excellent trip, each day there was at least one highlight which we will remember forever, no mean feat for a months trip! We felt really well looked after and safe whilst still having authentic experiences. The guides and drivers were brilliant and made sure we had cold water and towels during and after sightseeing which was very much appreciated in the heat. Winston checked in on us most days.
Booking with a local travel company meant that last minute, unforseen itinerary changes (due to a typhoon) was dealt with in minutes with no lost time in the holiday, new hotels booked and new experiences arranged. Much appreciated.

Just completed an amazing trip visiting Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket Thailand. Emmy our trip planner executed without exception planning flights, hotels, tours and fantastic tour guides.

As an international adoptee visiting my birth country for the first time since being adopted at 1.5 years old this journey was emotionally complicated for me. Asia Pioneer staff Stella Nguyen and her tour team made that journey for me more comfortable. I truly felt welcomed back into my birth country and each of the tour guides I met with were very knowledgeable and helpful. Both Danny and Tim helped me reconnect back to my roots as each gave me indepth history and information regarding Thai culture.

Also, each of the hotels that were selected were all beautiful and unique. The hotel staff were always helpful and professional during my stay. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at these hotels for comfort, cleanliness, and location. I really enjoyed the fact that these hotels were at the center or very close to all the local events, clubs, markets, and stores.

Additionally, this trip was a birthday gift to myself and Asia Pioneer made sure this detail was passed onto those along the tour. The tour guides blessed me with birthday greeting, small gift, and even dessert the night of my birthday. The hotel I stayed at during my birthday also welcomed me by adorning my room with birthday greeting spread on the hotel bed with flowers and towels shaped into elephants and a heart plus a dessert garnished with Happy Birthday chocolate. It all made me feel special for my birthday.

As a solo traveler booking with a tour guide company for the first time, I would highly recommend anyone to book with Asia Pioneer! From the details and communication during the planning process to the end of the trip, it was total satisfaction. I will certainly use Asia Pioneer again for my future travel plans.

We had an amazing 5 day trip in Thailand. Winston planned the agenda perfectly, allowing us to take in unforgettable sights and experiences in a relatively short period.

A Seamlessly Organized and Memorable Journey Through Vietnam

We booked our Vietnam trip through Asia Pioneer Travel, and we couldn’t have been more satisfied. From our arrival in Hanoi on July 14 to our departure from Da Nang on July 31, every part of the journey was seamlessly organized, with personal follow-up and high quality throughout.

Planning & Logistics
Each part of the trip was well planned: transportation, accommodation, guides, and activities. We were always met by punctual and friendly guides with a driver, traveled in comfortable private cars, stayed in quality 4★ hotels in great locations, and experienced a lot without ever feeling stressed or rushed. We especially appreciated that the itinerary was flexible and could be adjusted along the way, which was particularly important in the heat.

Traveling in July meant heat and humidity, but the itinerary gave us time to rest and adapt.

Highlights
Highlights included exploring the colorful markets of Hanoi, the spectacular views from the mountaintop at Fansipan in Sapa, a peaceful overnight cruise in Bai Tu Long Bay, walking the lantern-lit streets of Hoi An, and the unique experience of seeing Ho Chi Minh City from the seat of a vintage Vespa (an experience not to be missed). These activities gave us a genuine sense of Vietnam's diversity and culture. We also appreciated visits to local temples and vibrant street markets, which added to the cultural depth of the trip.

Food Experience
Many of the meals were included and coordinated in a way that gave us the opportunity to try a wide range of delicious Vietnamese food. The two street food tours were especially positive experiences – both flavorful and social.

Personal Support
Rachel from Asia Pioneer Travel stayed in close contact with us on WhatsApp throughout the journey and was always available. She made adjustments along the way based on our preferences, including meals, pace, and small details that made a big difference. All the guides we met were consistently professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, adding depth and local insight to every destination.

Overall Impressions
There are surely cheaper alternatives, but for us it was worth paying a bit more for the safety, local expertise, excellent service, and the consistently high quality of both the hotels and transportation throughout the journey. We felt well taken care of throughout the trip and are left with lasting memories from all parts of the country, from north to south, with great and very different locations.

Elly organized a trip to Vietnam for our extended family of 16 people in December. Everything was meticulously planned and we had a great time. My husband and I recently went on a trip to Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand which was put together for us by Asia Pioneer Travel. This was the first time we have ever travelled to South East Asia (other than a quick stopover in Singapore) and also the first time we have done a private tour. Usually we just book group tours for overseas but as we are getting older and were celebrating birthdays and an anniversary we thought we would try it. I was a little dubious about using a company overseas but my concerns were quickly laid to rest.
From first contact until we got home we found the service offered by our Travel Designer, Winston, to be exemplary. He put together a personalised package taking into account our interests, age and ability, answered all our questions promptly and was always courteous and kind. The trip was amazing, the tour guides and drivers exceptional. A couple of little hiccups with two hotels but it was all sorted quickly and efficiently without us having to stress. The little surprises that were organised along the way to help us celebrate just added to the whole wonderful experience. Winston even arrived at our hotel in Hanoi on my husband's birthday with a cake and had a surprise for me on mine as we cruised Halong Bay.
If you are considering organising a trip with Asia Pioneer Travel I would say just do it! You won't regret it - we certainly don't. Any future trips will have a lot to live up to!

We, a family of four (two adult children) just returned from a wonderful 15 day trip in Vietnam. Cherry did a terrific job personalizing our tour to Hanoi, Ninh Binh (a must see!), Ha Long Bay, HCMC, Mekong Delta and Phan Thiet. The drivers and guides were great and easy to understand, the food tours (especially the Vespa tour in HCMC, a trip highlight) delicious, and the hotels very comfortable. Cherry suggested, and was quite right, that we might want a corporate apartment for laundry, etc. facilities in HCMC for our second week of the trip. She also met us the first day we arrived in Hanoi and guided us to the street with many Tet decorations, and was very responsive in working with us and a hotel when we needed to change rooms.
