Ich bin leider ziemlich enttäuscht von AuPairWorld.
Die Plattform wirkt auf den ersten Blick sehr vielversprechend, insbesondere da sie kostenpflichtig ist und man daher davon ausgeht, dass die Qualität und die Rückmeldungen entsprechend gut sind.

In der Praxis sieht es jedoch ganz anders aus: Trotz zahlreicher Nachrichten an verschiedene Au-pairs habe ich kaum bis gar keine Rückmeldungen erhalten. Der Kontakt kommt einfach nicht zustande, was den gesamten Prozess extrem frustrierend macht.

Gerade weil man für die Nutzung bezahlt, hatte ich deutlich mehr Engagement und Verbindlichkeit erwartet. So fühlt es sich leider eher so an, als wäre das Geld nicht gut investiert gewesen.

Schade – die Idee der Plattform ist gut, aber die Umsetzung hat mich nicht überzeugt.

Ho i miei dubbi

Sembrava facile trovare una au pair con le centinaia di profili che corrispondevano alle nostre esigenze, ma su circa 80 ragazze contattate in una settimana, abbiamo ottenuto solo due video call, il 90% delle ragazze visualizza il messaggio e anche se è online non ha neanche la decenza di rispondere. Viene da chiedersi se siano profili reali e se 50€ al mese per un servizio che non c’è non sia altro che una presa in giro.

Su AuPairWorld i profili sono reali e vengono controllati regolarmente dal nostro team attraverso verifiche automatiche e manuali, proprio per garantire la qualità e la sicurezza della piattaforma. Allo stesso tempo, però, il comportamento degli utenti durante la ricerca dipende sempre dalle singole persone: purtroppo capita che molte au pair leggano i messaggi ma non rispondano subito, oppure stiano parlando con più famiglie contemporaneamente e non chiudano tutte le conversazioni in modo corretto. Sappiamo bene che questo può risultare frustrante anche per le famiglie.

Il nostro consiglio è di continuare a contattare attivamente i profili più adatti e, se c’è particolare interesse verso una candidata, proporre fin dall’inizio una breve scadenza per una risposta o un primo colloquio video: spesso questo aiuta a ricevere riscontri più concreti.

Comprendiamo comunque il vostro disappunto e prendiamo molto sul serio questo tipo di feedback, perché ci aiuta a lavorare su miglioramenti futuri del servizio.

This “au pair” website is despicable

This “au pair” website is despicable. Absolutely awful. I was an au pair and was taken advantage by my host family, was not paid the correct minimum wage under the country’s minimum wage laws, and the family refuses to pay money owed. I brought this up with Au Pair World, and essentially they told me they would do nothing. Au Pair World needs to do better with their protocols and need to take greater responsibility at screening host families. Many host families use this platform as a loophole to hire childcare help at a cheap price but for full time work. Host families take advantage of young, vulnerable naive Au pairs and some don’t speak English. Host families are exploiting au pairs through your website without facing any real consequences and you’re letting them do it because of the money. Do better AuPairWorld.

Wir versuchen seit 2 Monaten erfolglos ein Au Pair über diese Plattform zu finden. Bei rund 50 angeschriebenen Au pairs kamen 2 Gespräche zu Stande aus denen sich leider weiter nichts ergeben hat. Zu 95% werden die Erstnachrichten überhaupt nicht beantwortet. Ich habe mich selber als Au Pair registriert und bekomme auf meine Bewerbung als Au Pair mehr Nachrichten als auf unser wirklich seriöses, nettes und vollständig ausgefülltes Familienprofil…. Ich habe keine Ahnung wie man über diese Plattform ein Au Pair finden möchte.

Azienda poco seria

Ritengo questa azienda poco seria ed affidabile.
Ho effettuato un pagamento per 3 mesi di servizio, al momento del pagamento un errore improvviso della piattaforma, che ha preso i miei soldi, ma a loro non risulta.

È da settimane che richiedo un rimborso in quanto non ho avuto la possibilità di utilizzare la versione premium, ho inviato loro anche l'estratto conto attestante il pagamento, ma continuano a darmi scuse per ritardare una risposta.

Innanzitutto, ci scusiamo per il ritardo nella gestione della richiesta. Poiché il problema si è verificato durante il periodo di fine anno, la disponibilità del nostro team di supporto era ridotta a causa delle festività, con conseguenti tempi di risposta più lunghi del normale.

Nonostante il problema iniziale relativo al pagamento, il nostro team ti ha contattata e ha attivato l’abbonamento premium per consentirti di utilizzare il servizio. Successivamente, avendo espresso la preferenza per un rimborso, eravamo pronti a procedere in tal senso; tuttavia, a causa del periodo festivo e di alcune difficoltà tecniche, il rimborso non ha potuto essere elaborato con la consueta rapidità.

Possiamo ora confermare che il rimborso è stato correttamente elaborato. L’importo dovrebbe essere visibile sul tuo conto entro 3–5 giorni lavorativi, a seconda delle tempistiche di elaborazione della banca.

Ci scusiamo per l’eventuale disagio arrecato e ti ringraziamo per la pazienza.

Scam ? 100 "profils", nous en avons sélectionné plus ou moins une douzaine après avoir éliminé les "peu actif", ceux qui n'ont pas de présentation, ceux dont la date de disponibilité étaient il y a 6 mois... 0 retour.
Objectivement, je me questionne sur l'authenticité et l'existence réelle des personnes présentées. Bref, comme beaucoup, nous avons dépensé 49,90€ pour "voir". Cela mérite bien de laisser un avis éclairé pour les suivants.

Edit : notre abonnement d'un mois arrive à ton terme. Je confirme notre commentaire négatif. Nous n'avons reçu que très peu de réponses. Vraiment très peu. Sur le peu de réponses reçues, tous avaient déjà trouvé une famille depuis longtemps. Je m'interroge évidemment : soit il s'agit de faux profils, soit
il doit y avoir 100 familles pour 1 "aupair", ne rendant pas le plateforme viable. Je vais évidemment demander un remboursement, sans espoir de l'obtenir.

100 “profiles” available. We shortlisted around a dozen after filtering out inactive accounts, profiles without any introduction, and those whose availability dates were from six months ago… Result: zero replies.

Objectively, this raises serious questions about the authenticity and even the real existence of the people presented on the platform. Like many others, we paid €49.90 just to “see for ourselves”. That alone justifies leaving an honest review for future families.

Edit: Our one-month subscription has now ended, and I fully confirm our negative review. We received very few responses — extremely few. Among those few replies, all au pairs had already found a host family long ago.

This naturally raises concerns: either many profiles are fake, or there are 100 families for every single au pair, which would make the platform fundamentally unviable. I will of course request a refund, without much hope of actually receiving one.

The webpage is the worst

The webpage is the worst. The whole development team should look really deep in to the mirror and think about how it is possible that they can make every single change more worse and after that they commercial team increases price yearly.

Just stop the development and changes all together or make even some testing with users before deploying this utter bs.

For clarification:
- in Android app: opening the first page, message box is not show, but you need to bounce back and worth to get "messages" box in top right corner.
- "quick answers" in mobile app has been sent multiple times by accident as there is no "send" needed - multiple times there is "we have already find au pair" message sent in first message
- all profile info cant be changed in one location.
- in pc, there was multiple months that "vpn is not supported" - I would say that most of the companies uses vpn and messages could not be read at all in pc.

I found over Aupair World a perfect Match with a family from Madrid. Even though I wanted to go to Canada in the very beginning, i learned that the family is more importantly than only the location. The website is good in structure, a lovely design and you have many opportunities. I would definitely recommend it. 🧡

Great platform ruined by over-strict security

used to be a loyal customer, now very disappointed

I’ve been an active host family on AuPairWorld.com for many years and always take a premium account when I need a new au pair. Until recently, I was quite satisfied — the platform was convenient and reliable.

But my latest experience was extremely disappointing. Two Filipino candidates I met through Facebook tried to create profiles, but the system kept rejecting them. After several emails with support, I was told that registrations from the Philippines were open again. Still, one candidate tried three times and was declined each time “for security reasons,” with no further explanation.

Another candidate managed to register by choosing Luxembourg as her home country (since the Philippines didn’t work), and when I tried to help her complete the profile, both of their accounts were blocked — and mine too. I was asked to send my ID, which I did, but then received a standard reply saying my account could not be restored because it was now “linked to other profiles.”

The irony is that both women were willing to upload their own IDs — they’re real people with genuine intentions. Instead of resolving this, AuPairWorld lost not only a loyal paying customer but also two motivated au pairs.

The platform’s security system has become far too strict, punishing even well-intentioned help. That’s a shame, especially since so many great au pairs come from the Philippines.

In short: I was a happy user for years, but this experience has seriously damaged my trust in the platform.

I fully understand and respect the need for security and compliance with your Terms of Service. However, my concern is not about breaking rules — it’s about how inconsistently they are applied and how little real support is given to genuine candidates.

For a long period, AuPairWorld completely blocked registrations from the Philippines. On 10 September 2025, I received an email from Marina (AuPairWorld Support) confirming that Filipino registrations were again allowed. Based on this, one candidate, Elaiza, tried to register three or four times — all rejected “for security reasons” without explanation. Another candidate, Kyla, registered like many others by selecting a different country (since the Philippines still didn’t work). When I tried to help her update her profile, both of them were blocked, and shortly after, my own account was also suspended.

I even provided my ID as requested — but received a standard, automated response saying my account “cannot be restored” because it was “linked to other profiles.” The irony is that both women were real people, ready to upload their own IDs, and only wanted a fair chance to apply as au pairs.

Meanwhile, the platform is full of profiles from Asia listed under EU countries — so it’s clear that this “rule” is not consistently enforced. What’s worse is that your support repeatedly says “we want to help you register”, but in reality, these women receive nothing but an automated message:

“Registration not possible for security reasons. We cannot tell you more.”

That is not support. It’s an automated rejection that leaves real candidates — and loyal paying customers — deeply frustrated.

For years, I’ve promoted AuPairWorld as the most reliable platform for genuine connections between families and au pairs. But this experience has shown that your security system is now punishing well-intentioned people instead of protecting them.

I sincerely hope AuPairWorld re-evaluates this policy. You are losing the trust of the very people who made this platform successful.

At AuPairWorld, we are happy to receive registrations from users all over the world. Nonetheless, all users must be following our Terms of Service and the au pair program regulations. Security and safety are top priorities for us, and we are very proud of maintaining these high standards.

You mentioned helping to set up profiles for au pairs, as well as some users providing false information about their country of residence during registration. These are indeed serious violations of our Terms of Service, which state that registration and use of a profile cannot be done by a third party, and that every user must provide their real personal information.

We are sorry that your application has not been successful, and we understand your position on this matter. There can be many reasons why profiles are not accepted, for example there may not be a clear visa path for the destination country.

We suggest that you check whether it's possible to search for a host family on another platform or to organise an au pair stay on some other basis, perhaps with an individual agency.

Wahrscheinlich alles fake

Au Pairs bekommen oft die Nachrichten
nicht, erst zwei Haken dann nur noch einer.

Es wirkt so als wären alles fake-Profile und Chatbots.

Glaube nicht daran dass es viele echte

Menschen darunter gibt.

Versuchen seit 6 Monaten ein Au Pair zu finden, würde sagen wir waren bisher noch nichtmal nah dran

my journey to my aupair experience!💗

i started thinking about doing my aupair experience in may 2024. i created my profile without expectations, just to take a look to the families. then, due to some personal issues, i have been enable to start that year. 5 months ago, i decided to try again, and here i am.
aupairworld website allowed me to keep in touch with a lot of families, until i found my perfect match here in Madrid.
following their advices, asking a lot of questions and talking a lot with the families, i found what i was looking for.
i started just a month ago, but for now i have no regrets; moreover i hope this experience could be the best of my life!💗

Vraiment très très très déçu de la…

Vraiment très très très déçu de la situation, puisque nous avions un engagement avec notre fille au pair, sur huit mois et une famille Annecy, qui se décide de la faire rentrer en Master lui fait changer de famille donc ça ne va pas du tout donc je mets un avis qui n’est pas du tout bien,je partage cet avis
