Partial Orders, Zero Customer Support – Avoid at All Costs

On August 5, 2025, I placed an order with Baby Gold after seeing what looked like a legitimate Instagram advertisement. I purchased two pairs of earrings but only received one. The single pair delivered did not match the product description or photos on the website.

This is not just a mistake—it appears to be a pattern of fraudulent behavior. Numerous reports online (including Trustpilot and other forums) describe the exact same experience: customers paying for full orders and receiving either partial shipments or items that do not match what was advertised.

When I attempted to resolve the issue, customer support was unresponsive and dismissive. Since I used Affirm for payment, I opened a dispute, but the process has been frustratingly slow and offers little immediate protection for the consumer. Affirm should reconsider its partnership with this merchant, as their platform is being used to legitimize scams.

Key Issues:

Misrepresentation: Products received are not what is shown online.

Partial Fulfillment: Paid for two items, received only one.

No Accountability: Company refuses to address missing items or issue refunds.

Payment Platform Risk: Affirm’s dispute process is slow, leaving consumers stuck without resolution.

Why this matters:

Baby Gold’s business practices erode trust in online shopping and exploit consumers through misleading ads and inadequate customer service. Affirm and other payment processors should investigate and stop enabling this behavior.

Recommendation:

Avoid Baby Gold. If you were affected, file formal complaints with the FTC, your state attorney general, and report the ads on Instagram so others are not scammed.

BUYER BEWARE!!!

Nov. ‘24 i bought a bracelet, a link broke in Aug ‘25, I sent them pictures and explained what happened. They told me it was outside their “warranty coverage” and couldn’t be fixed. However, they could replace the bracelet for a fee… $201, just a little under half of what I paid!! They tried acting like offering this “replacement” bracelet WAS them standing behind their warranty. I told them “you didn’t stand behind your life time warranty the first time, what makes you think I want to buy another piece from you?”. I certainly will never buy another piece from them!

Customer Service does not exist. There is no one to speak to expect a robot named Jessica. Thank God I used my cc to file a dispute. I will never buy jewelry online ever again unless the company is a department store that is older than me!

Horrible company! They told my credit card company I never returned the cheap item they sent me back! I have all the proof that I did including the email correspondence! Do not, I repeat, do not order from this scam of a company!

Total scam

Total scam! Their stuff is trash and breaks in a day. Then they tell you they can repair it and when you send it back it disappears. Literally it just disappears. You won’t get it back and they’ll try to give you a store credit or a discount code. I honestly thought it was just a random thing that happened but then I read other reviews that say the exact same thing that happened to me. They send you a pic of an empty box after months of waiting and say the jewelry wasn’t in there when they received it then say they are filing a claim for you with ups and after 4-5 months they tell you it was denied. No way that same exact scenario happed to more than one person in real life.

So disappointing

It is so disappointing and so much time was wasted. I bought a pair of gold earring backs which came with the description - one size fits all. I was shocked when they came as they were so, so tiny that I could barely grab them and the hole was smaller than my earring post which would not go through. My earring posts were a normal size, maybe even smaller, so I could not use them. The photos of the backs on their site showed no dimensions but I relied on the one size fits all description. They sent me a return sticker but after many emails agreed to a store credit as a special accommodation. They had no other size backs so I asked for a full refund. After much back and forth they finally gave back 50% claiming that the one size fits all description was added by AI and they have since removed that wording. That is not how this should work. Needless to say one should think twice about purchasing from Baby Gold.

Bad Quality Horrible Service

Let’s see what the odds are they post an actual review. First I suggest anyone wanting to purchase from this company google them first and you will learn why you should not. Second I purchased a bracelet with a clasp that barely holds. The connector is thin and the gap is too wide and the bracelet falls constantly. I did the research and it looks like the clasp is either not correct or made improperly. I reached out to customer services and after several days they replied and said it was not their fault it was wear and tear. I’ve had it for 4 months and it’s suppose to be “gold” also how did I create a huge gap. They charged me to send it back for them to evaluate where I can already guess they will have some sort of cost associated with fixing a faulty product

I purchased the Petit Sequin Chain…

I purchased the Petit Sequin Chain Anklet from Baby Gold, and it fell off the very first day I wore it, clearly due to a faulty clasp or poor construction. I reached out to customer service right away, explained everything, and asked for a replacement. Instead, they repeatedly referred to it as “lost” and refused to take any responsibility for what was obviously a defective item. The only resolution they offered was 30% off a replacement, which is unacceptable for something that didn’t even last a single wear. This was a significant purchase for me, and it’s extremely disappointing to see a company refuse to stand by the quality of their product. I would not recommend buying from Baby Gold.

$300 jewelry held together by sewing string!

I ordered an anklet and a pair of earrings on Dec 9 and was promised arrival by Christmas. 3 weeks later when the item didn't arrive I requested an update. After a lot of back and forth I had to get my cc involved to cancel the order and issue a refund. The company promised it would be received and finally on January 24 almost 7 weeks later the items were received. The anklet was $280 blue opal, the earrings were gold evil eyes $204. 6 months later my anklet snaps apart as Im going to put it on. It turns out my real opal $280 anklet was being held together with sewing string. I sent images with my sewing string next to the bracelet. It is EXACTLY the same. I wrote them on July 6 they state they have a lifetime warranty yet won't refund me and haven't gotten back to me about sending a new anklet using actual quality material. String meant to hold clothing together cannot be used to hold opal and gold together. They are very dishonest about their quality and their policies.

Terrible company and customer service

Terrible company and customer service. I received a bracelet for Mother’s Day, originally priced at $ 640. The bracelet was very flimsy and within days I had several dents in the bracelet.
After four weeks the bracelet was literally falling apart. When my husband contacted the company, they refused to stand by their lifetime warranty claims. I’m now stuck with a piece of junk.

POOR QUALITY

POOR QUALITY. Turquoise ring had stones fall out on the second wear. 10 day policy for store credit.
Lifetime warranty advertised on website is a SCAM. If you qualify for a repair, they make you pay for shipping and repair. UNACCEPTABLE POLICIES AND WEBSITE IS MISLEADING.

I got my granddaughter hoop earrings for Christmas. No sooner we put them on her they broke. No return emails after I complained. They were also cheap looking earrings. Junk junk junk. Never again. They are deleting my posts on Facebook every time I post on what a junk they are

Buyer Beware!!

Never received product. Quoted 4-6 weeks. Followed up multiple times. Often ignored inquiries and/or promised ship dates that never actioned. Had to dispute charge with credit card company.

Convinced this company is a fraud.

In reality they deserve no stars. I purchased a bracelet that was not made to order and should've talen no longer than 3 days to receive it per their email and purchase confirmation. Here I am writing a poor review 1 month later and still no bracelet in sight. They respond to your first email due to your concerns and then ignore you. No one to reach via phone conveniently for them. Wish I read their reviews prior to purchase. Lesson learned. Poor way to conduct business. STRONGLY recommend everyone to stay clear from this company

I purchased a pair of earrings on April 19th. It has been 9 weeks and still no information on my order dispite multiple inquiries. I have been told they will send to customer service to expedite my order however, it still has not shipped. If you try to call them, you get a recording, if you email, you get the same response over and over. A waste of my time and probably money. I cannot even comment on the earrings themselves as I am thinking I was scammed and they may never arrive.
