I ORDERED AND HAVE HEARD NOTHING. SHAME ON THEM. QUICK TO TAKE MY MONEY AND NOW TOTAL SILENCE. I AM WILL TRY AND GET REFUND. THANK GOD I ONLY LOST $51

This is a scam company. I received defective boots that looked nothing like the pictures on their website. Initially when I complained a "Lily" promised a replacement pair, which I agreed to and then I simply never heard from them again despite repeated attempts to contact them via phone and email. Here are the specifics. I place the order on 12/10/25. On 12/19/25 the boots arrived--defective and the color is nothing like what was advertised. On 12/21/25 I wrote them with a complaint: Hi--I ordered your Women's Snow Boots, Fur-Lined, Color Khaki, Size 9. Two problems: 1) They are not Khaki--the color I wanted--they are dark brown. I am attaching a picture of what you advertise on your website and a picture of the boots that you sent. Why is that? 2) There is something stiff in the left side of the left boot that is not positioned right or something. Instead of being straight it is angled in (within the boot) so that when I put my foot into the boot it cuts into the left side of my left ankle and feels very uncomfortable and not right. I have tried to straighten it, without luck. Why is that and what can I do about it to fix it? Thanks. There shouldn’t be anything rigid or angled in a way that causes discomfort or digs into your ankle, and I’m sorry you’re dealing with that — especially after trying to adjust it yourself. To make this right, we’re happy to send you a free replacement pair in the correct Khaki color, at no additional cost to you. If you’d prefer, we can also help you choose a different item instead — whatever works best for you. On 01/24, 01/25, 01/28, and 06/14 I sent follow-ups and never heard anything back. And now it is way past the time limit for me to do a charge back through my credit card. I wanted to attaching a picture of how the boots looked in their catalog and a picture of what I received but unfortunately I see that is not an option with this review. Stay AWAY from this company. It is a complete waste of your money to buy from them. They do not stand behind their products and in my case they outright lied saying they would replace the boots when they had no intention to do so. And they never mentioned refunding my money. I see the company made some generic replies to some of the complaints on this site. I absolutely guarantee they are just words. This company does not make anything right. They are scammers.

My comments are honest and true. If needed, I can produce email traffic to support my claim. If you value your dollars, seek purchasing from a reputable and trust-worthy company, DO NOT PURCHASE FROM BAREROOTS FOOTWARE!! I consider the company to be a SCAM ENTITY.

I purchased 3 Pair of shoes based on what I thought I was ordering. The shoes in the ad looked comfortable and well-made. When I received the package, they were anything but! The shoes were NOTHING like what I ordered. The shoes were made of hard, cheap material. They were very uncomfortable, and the size was not right. Totally different from what was in the ad! When I contacted them, I implied that I wanted to return them for a full refund. They tried to tell me they would ship me a replacement, and that I could keep the ones they sent. I refused that offer and insinuated that their website stated free return, refunds, or replacements. They kept trying to get me to accept a replacement. WHY WOULD I? Nothing they promised on their website is true! Fool me once and you don't get a second chance! I refused until they said they would proceed to refund my money.

When they refunded me, it was way short of what I paid. I requested the rest of my money, and they refunded more but still fell short of refunding ALL my money! I sent another request and they just stopped communucating. I just got irritated and gave up. It appears to me that either they don't know how to calculate exchange rates, or it is all a SCAM to steal people's money! I only received about 75% of what I paid them for shoes I cannot wear, will not give to anybody, and merchandise that is nothing short of JUNK! Trust me, you DO NOT want to do business with Bareroots Footwear! The company should be taken down and prevented from shipping anything to the United States. They are not trustworthy! They do not provide FULL refunds. Their merchandise is NOT what is shown in advertisements (at least not the shoes I received). So, buy at your own risk.

My statements are TRUE and precise! I would have no reason to lie. I believe if service and merchandise is good, they deserve a good review for others to know the company us trustworthy. But if it is otherwise, then people deserve to know the truth and to be cautious. I can only speak from my personal experience, and do not discount anyone with a positive experience. I only know what happened to me. This happened several months back...so yes...they may have changed and improved, but they may also just be scamming, and that is a disgrace. 🤔

Is was easy to order and determine size and color. I am hoping the shoes will be compatible with my inserts.

Really bad- i ordered shoes for my mum. I wanted to return as it didn’t fit. I sent countless emails and log a form online. I even called the number and was charged. No answer. This company should close down.

This companies website was easy to navigate and the prices were reasonable. My order was shipped out in a timely matter. I will commenter on the product after I receive it.

Fit is terrible. Difficult to return I have been waiting for a return label for 2 weeks after requests and no reply

Waiting literally weeks for a return. This company is not respectable. Not even in the US. Claims on their website are a complete lie. Don't waste your money!

all good so far. Haven't received my order yet so cannot say anymore but ordering was easy to do.

Took forever to get. When the sandal did come and I tried them the strap around my ankle could have fit 2 people, I could put my finger and my toe through the toe strap the strap across my foot was the same. The length fit fine, so not sure what kind of person would have fit this sandal? The metal piece that was suppose to hold the strap kept falling down into the leather so wouldn't even stay in hole to keep the strap in place. They were a joke! Looked great on the thin legged model in the picture. Emailed them right away to start a return. They aske for pictures so I sent about 5 showing the defects. They offered a discounted price or if I still wanted to return them and would have to pay the high shipping cost which they stated if they were defective I would not have to in the return policy. I said I wanted to return and never heard another word. I emailed probably 6 more times and even tried to call. That went straight to a busy signal. It is a complete scam. I finally called my credit card company and disputed the charges. This company needs to be taken off the internet if this is how the do business!
