They take the care out of customer care
We have a Be.Ev charger on our site that has been out of order for 6 weeks. We have called the only number available on their website 6 times to report the issue, however we have just been told the number we need can't be given out. We are currently fielding their complaints as clients and guests are unable to charge their vehicles
Absolutely horrendous system
Absolutely horrendous system. Payment does not work. Waste of time . Had a child in the car also. Get rid of be ev charging system
Don’t use these. They are awful and don’t work
I have been to 4 different charges the first two “unavailable” I called them and was on the phone for 20 minutes just for them to say there is a technical issue and to go to another. I drove to another the screen actually worked on this one however in the app both free slots where said to be unavailable. This is the worst charging experience ever. Whoever works at the place make it better or work somewhere els. Because I am so done!
Hit and Miss
Price is good on the Mega subscription, but my word, 50-60% of the time there is a fault at the start of charging or during the charge. Such a waste of time. This isn't specific to one charger, it's across your network. Do better for your customers, please!!

I Often try to charge my EV vehicle at Manchester Asda Hulme
I Often try to charge my EV vehicle at Adsa Hulme Manchester. They have six charging points which is always hit and miss. Sometimes you go there it can work ok. However sometimes you go there none of them are working correctly . The annoying thing is, it does not say its out of order, so you try another station at the same location and still have the same problem. On one occasion I tried 15 times and it failed to charge also i had £25 x 15 transactions pending with my account. Its a shame paying the subscription is a better deal financially if the charging points work correctly. I dread going to Be EV as there is no gaurantee it gonna work. I still Hope Be Ev get there act together and sort these problems out. I have complained to them several times but no response from them.

Awful experience
Went to charge my car in Manchester Asda. First two chargers simply didn’t work despite being green. The next one started but then gave up after c. 7% added. A stressful and dreadfully unreliable service. Certainly won’t be using them again.

Took 2 attempts to charge
Took 2 attempts to charge. 1st one just stopped after 10 mins. Tried again on the other connector A and it worked fine. Shame the app does not show the charge ot cost in real time it just stays in zero. I’ve used BE EV a few times at other locations and it always shows the charge and cost in the app in real time but. Of at this one (The Urmston’s pub)
Robbed
Absoloute joke! Took me 8 times to get the charger working and its took £200 out of my bank account and still not returned 24 hours later! The last £25 worked but im still £175 down! Spoke to customer service an got no where with it! Literally been robbed. Avoid
Fair price, reliable service
II don’t normally bother writing reviews, but Be.ev genuinely deserves one. I’ve owned an EV for nearly two years and public charging has always been a bit of a nightmare, mainly because of the ridiculous prices some providers charge, so I usually avoided it where possible. Then I discovered Be.ev and it’s been a game changer. The £9.99 subscription is an absolute bargain I can get my car to around 80% for around £25, which would easily cost £60+ on many other public chargers. I’ve noticed they seem to have quite a few negative reviews, which honestly surprised me because my experience has been the complete opposite. Maybe I’ve just been lucky with the chargers I’ve used, but price-wise and reliability-wise it’s been one of the best public charging options I’ve come across. Even if you don’t use public chargers often, I’d still recommend signing up for the £9.99 just for a single charge and cancelling, because you’ll still save a decent amount.

Octopus Energy owned Be Ev, very shoddy company!
Non transparent, mostly crappy charge rates! While I am generally happy with their parent company ‘Octopus Energy’. I think it is shocking or maybe the shape of things to come for Octopus! Ripping off with poor charge rates and non transparent charge rates!

Scammers
Scammers. I charge my car from them regularly and last charge I went was last night on 12/02/26. No issue with charging. I go to the place called The Aviator in Stockport. The price was £0.39p/ kWh. The charge consumed by my car was 47.23 kWh on that day. Whenever I charge I take a picture at the end so I know how much I am getting charged. 47.23 kWh x £0.39p =£18.42. So the next day I am billed £27.82. I have emailed them they said. Our prices gone up. I have been charged correctly. But when I went there it’s shows me £0.39p/ kWh. If it shows me £0.59p/ kWh I would have not charge my car. They are saying it’s our fault our machine didn’t show the correct price. But That’s not my problem. When I charged it was showing £0.39p/ kWh. And I have prove. Now they are saying we can’t refund you. Because I have not used app or rfid card. That charger point was never asked me for app or rfid card. Price was simple £0.39p. Stop using these scammers. I am going to take them to court. In one night they might have scammed many people.

Couldn't stop charge, refused a refund
Started a charge planning to add just 10kWh to get me to my destination. The machine requires you to tap your bank card again to stop the charge (unlike other machines I've used), however the card readers stopped working so I could not stop the car charging. Couldn't get through to customer service on the phone. This wouldn't itself be a reason for a 1 star review, except that they then refused to refund me, even for the charge I didn't want and was forced to receive. Madness.
Updated to 2 stars as after further argument they agreed to refund the unwated charge

called here because of the 150 ultra rapid charge, I had to turn off all electros in the car because is wasn’t charging, was charging at only 30kw which was 1% every 3/4 minutes. Absolutely useless.
Issue resolved
Edit. I have complained to BEev . To be fair to them they replied quickly and my complaint has been escalated. Ive upped my score. Whilst the issue shouldnt have happened and the out of hours team were next to useless, Luke in Customer Services hasbeen really helpful and resolved my issues. Ill review my score when they get back
Iwas unable to remove the charger from the car. The helpdesk were unable to assist. They promised me a call back to help which never came. I was trapped at the pump until charge reached 100% which was much more charge than I needed
Excellent Charging
I used the Hexham site at B&M/Pets at Home/Magestic Wines and found the point really easy to use through the Electroverse app. Plenty of space, really fast and great value for the speeds. Never tried the direct app however. Highly recommend.

After seeing the launch of a few of…
After seeing the launch of a few of their sites on social media... I thought I would try their new sites out.
Visited their site in Newton Heath.. which was an old petrol station.
It was by far the best charging station I've visited!
Only cost 25p/kw to charge and got a Nero too.
Had a query about a receipt and the phone was answered straight away and the lady sent it through to me within minutes
I'll definitely be on the look out for other sites around Manchester

Stuck charging cable - update
Connected to charging point. Asked to present bank card. Error indicated. Charging cable would not release from machine. Called Beev. Told to expect call or email but still no contact 22 hours later. Lady at Beev told us to call our roadside recovery. (It's your machine, not our car) Still waiting for contact from BEEV to tell us when our cable will be released from your faulty machine. Are you going to pay for a new charging cable so we can use our car?
We were just contacted by customer manager Tim who is going to listen to our calls and make some changes to the advice responses that are given. He explained what should have been communicated to us and that we will receive our cable back or a new one. He also gave us two free charges as good will. Excellent communication and customer service.
After more updates and communication from the company I feel confident that BE EV 's mission and vision as a company is based in customer service and satisfaction. We will be looking out for their charging stations in the future. Trust has been restored.

Still waiting for an install update.
Have been waiting for a couple of weeks for an update on St. James Retail Park in Knaresborough and the BE EV installation.
Tried again today and they could not give an update on when they would be available.
What does it take to give a timeline for new site installations.
Come on BE.EV pull your figure out.

easy charging
Tried their new oasis hub in manchester this weekend and really impressed. lots of room and easy chargers at a reasonable price. I’ll be looking out for more of these again.
