At the age of 83 I have bought my first mobility scooter
AXIS.
It is very easy to order & pay for online.
Delivered by Fedex 2 days after the date they gave me,told they were running late but it was actually still in a hub over a hundred miles away.
Also had to chase up free insurance twice before it was sorted.
At all times the dealings with Betty & Bertie via email were curtious & quick.
My problems arise because (a) the turning circle is too big to be allowed to drive onto trains, ( b) it is too heavy to be carried by National Express, ( c) wont fit in my daughters car boot & some taxi boots & ( d) this scooter does not have a key so cant be left for long.
Unfortunately Betty & Bertie will not allow me to return it so my only option is to sell it, less than 200 yards on the clock.
The moral is do all the homework before buying online,or better still, try it out in a store before purchase.

I recently purchased an AXIS Mobility Scooter from Betty & Bertie. However unfortunately, I had to return it as it was too heavy for me to lift in and out of our car. Initially when purchasing a mobility scooter from them, you have 14 days to return it, should you find it unsuitable. In my case I left it too late in realising it was too heavy for me to manage, exceeding the return period by an extra 2 weeks. Despite this, and having one or two issues with the condition of the mobility scooter, they were extremely kind and very understanding of my situation. I cannot praise them enough, for the way in which my problem was handled. The end result was that I was able to return the unsuitable mobility scooter, with a most acceptable refund. I cannot praise this company enough, for their brilliant customer service I can genuinely recommend them, to anyone wishing to purchase a reliable and reasonably priced mobility scooter. Well done “Betty & Bertie”.

So easy to place order and clear description of product

I just placed an order for a mobility scooter. I spoke with a lady who I believe is from customer service; she was very kind and patient. I am grateful to her.

What a great company to deal with. Got my zinnia x today and very happy. Feels very well made. Other than charging the batteries and placing the arm rest’s that’s all you have to do ones taken out of the box. Feel comfortable to sit on. Steering feels strong and easy to manoeuvre. Nice addition is the led screen. Autofill function works great with the remote control and the button. Can’t wait to get it out soon. Thank you to the bettie and Bertie team. Very helpful answering questions over the phone with them. Probable been asked the same questions a thousand times but they make it feel like there first time. Hope you get my gist.
If you’re thinking of buying from them please do not hesitate to do so.

My interaction with Betty & Bertie has had some ups and downs. 1st scooter ever, a Ren. Had issues, was collected for repair and the courier lost it! Had to wait ages without a scooter for the replacement, which had immediate issues and once again was swapped out. That said my Ren allows me to go along on dog walks, shopping etc. I am in my late 40's and I was looking for a scooter that looked less like an old fashioned type or designed purely for supermarket shops for OAP's (no offence intended) . All in all, love my scooter. Only things that I would want is for it to be unrestricted for use on private land (originally website said it was capable of 12mph) and perhaps a 4 wheel version for added stability.
