I made a full payment of $99.95 in DOGE through BitPay to subscribe to ExpressVPN. However, BitPay rejected my ID after payment, citing OFAC regulations, and now refuses to allow access or issue a refund, even though the invoice itself showed "Refund Available."

To make it worse, I am from Iran and in a time of crisis and conflict in the region, I urgently needed access to this VPN service for safety and communication. I’ve already used BitPay in the past successfully with the same VPN provider, but this time I was left with no access and no recourse.

Both BitPay and ExpressVPN keep pushing responsibility to each other, and neither is willing to activate the service or return my funds. This feels like theft disguised behind policy.

Please be warned before using BitPay. They do not treat customer issues fairly and hide behind vague sanctions excuses.

The most failed and bad platform, and deception. I transferred ETH from Binance to this fraudulent platform, BITPAY. Despite completing everything correctly from Binance and the transfer process being completed by Binance, I did not receive anything on this platform, BITPAY, not even an email. I did the transaction again and the same thing happened. I lost my money. So my advice is to avoid this fraudulent platform

Using Bitpay wallet made House Mining a truly worthwhile investment platform for me.
I see everyone writing negative of Bitpay and I still can't comprehend because all my withdrawals has been processed quickly and with very low fees. Unlike other company wallets like Blockchain, which often charges high fees just because the transactions come from an investment platform, Bitpay keeps it smooth and adorable. Anyone into passive income, I highly recommend giving them a fair trial with the company I mentioned above. Highly efficient, reliable, investor-friendly and fast payment process.

It is a scam they don't have anything. They don't know what they are doing. They are purely a scam company who is looking for people to get there money and also drain your wallet be aware

First, their service does not see the payment, although they initiated the transaction through Metamask, and then they require verification for a refund. Such nonsense, I don't recommend it to anyone!

Awful company creates issues then makes you verify to resolve them just so they can ignore and keep your money. Dont deal with this company

This company is a scam again. They require 150 dollars as a deposit fee. If you account will not be valided by their service (which will be 90% the case), they will just keep the 150 dollars and will never refund that fund. What is a dirty way to scam people and company. Don't trust them !

I used bitpay to get Namecheap credit, i sent the money, a few minutes later it said it failed. They sent me a refund link and it prompted me to kyc (id verification); Now to say, im less then 18 using a trust wallet (crypto wallet for less then 18). So i need an Id to refund but to send i dont? Flat out Scammed

I tried to donate $40 to crones and colitis foundation. This stupid app decided to not send the money then send me a refund thing stating to pay 1/4 of the transaction in fees and saying I have to make an account to get that refund. This is a scam I messaged customer support about it she asked me for an id I don’t have cause I don’t have an account cause it wouldn’t let me sign up for an account I don’t want. I hate this app and I hope the employees and the owner get crones for stealing from people and foundation. They are a joke and there money should be given to actual people not pricks.

this website will scam you, after collecting your money, they will ask for your verification, and they will deny all your verification they are just collecting people personal datas

I use bitpay to top-up my namecheap account. Transaction amount was underpaid. We i reach them to about this issiue,they say "you have to pass kyc" I don't want to share my ID or any info with them. I don't user their service. I was just tried to top-up my account. They not give my money back they just simply stole it.

Within 15 mn from paying for a purchase worth €150, my invoice was cancelled — technically (and possibly) because the blockchain had slowed to a crawl and it hadn’t been confirmed within the generous (!?) lapse of time granted by BtP. As anyone would know, you can’t "call back" a BTC transfer. I only had a screen shot and a transaction ID; as a result I had to struggle for BtP to even admit that they had pocketed my money.

When they did so at last, they demanded that I register on their site and comply to a complete KYC procedure (photo ID, selfie, etc.) in order to get reimbursed. Of course, I wasn’t ready to do that: in view of all the negative reviews posted here and elsewhere, why should I give my personal information away to a U.S.-based racket?

There followed a substantial number of mails back and forth. At first I was told that their KYC request was to comply with applicable laws (yet, they had no way of knowing my country of residence), then that it was defined in their “Terms” (where I did find it, nested in some obscure paragraph).

One interesting statement bounced on me was that “every shopper is required to agree to our terms of use before paying a BitPay Invoice.” I then asked them to tell me precisely when I had been asked to accept their “Terms” (a standard procedure, usually a checkbox, when finalising a purchase online) in the course of the transaction. Even as I sent them the screen shot that showed that nothing of the kind had ever taken place, they consistently ignored this request of mine, which I repeated in the course of the last 3 or 4 mails. Basically, they only reiterated that that’s how things were. They didn’t even bother considering the fact that I’d had no way of being aware of the existence of their “Terms”, but, interestingly enough, they stated at some point that “BitPay cannot accept duplicate payments made to invoices and this payment needs to be refunded.”

Does this sound like BtP’s racket risks getting exposed by some external audit of sorts? Can we hope that a class action will go ahead to force BtP to return the funds of what seems to be hundreds of users?

Shortly after my own attempt, aborted by BtP, a member of my family tried to prove that mine was just a case of bad luck. Well, her payment did get confirmed on the blockchain in the allotted time. Regardless…, BtP cancelled her invoice. In her case, though, they admitted to having received the money, but placed the same KYC demands. More satoshis thrown to the hyenas…

BitPay is 100% fraudulent. Its so crazy, they stole over $600 from me conveniently and shamelessly. They also took my personal information and have been spamming me with silly emails from different senders. I wonder why this app is still active!!! Absolute rubbish!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Meine erste Trading App. 36h verwendet, danach 1000€ wieder entnommen. Die App geht gar nicht, in so einen volatilen Markt wie das Crypto Trading. Die angezeigten Kurse sind alles andere als aktuell. Tops wurden in der App gar nicht erreicht, alle Angaben mit langen Verzögerungen.

you can pay without kyc but you cant refund without kyc. Who are the fck are you why i give my personal information to you ? why do you want my passport ? you get money without KYC. Send my money back if you wanna see my passport send your boss passport with my money maybe i will send after.
