Payed 700$ for my order in a shop.
Transaction went through but bitpay says it didnt't and cancelled the order. Money gone of course.
Requesting a refund they ask me to verify.
I send them all info required and they tell me verification failed, desipte on their website they claim you don't need to verify for refunds below $1000.
Needless to say, that the support is AI only...
Totally unprofessional/scam.

They are scammers and I contacted their support they kept avoiding me. I later contacted " Rose Lane GP " to intervene on the matter

They double-charge for Bitcoin blockchain fees. I sent the exact amount service requested and paid the fee on my side, BitPay says I under-paid and then want to extort me for a second time with a fee twice as much as the original fee to get my "refund". What a shit-show. Stay away.

Literally the worst crypto payment processor. Never works.

I paid the 150 dollar verification fee. I have an LLC in the US, submitted all required paperwork and wasn't approved. I have submitted multiple support tickets and have submitted more than enough paperwork to verify my company. The only response I receive is "Please allow additional time for this team to review and follow up with you." It has been one month now.

BitPay is a scam. They operate immorally, illegally, unethically, and shamefully.
-Their support team does not read your emails, it's an Ai bot sending copy/paste responses.
-You cannot remove your private information from their platform.
This includes: a photo of your driver's license, all of your banking information, and your phone number.
-You cannot remove your account from their platform.
-There is a 30-step procedure to remove your account, but it doesn't work.
-Support team ignores all requests.
-BitPay collects, stores, distributes, shares, and sells your private information to anyone they can (your name, your address, your financial info, your email, everything you do on their platform, and device cookie-digging)
-BitPay management has fallen victim to basic scams, losing $2mil of their (your) money
-BitPay has been hacked. None of your private information is safe on their servers, or the servers of their affiliates.

-Avoid BitPay at all costs, the company is a bad actor, it is impossible to get rid of your account and your private data from their servers, and they sell all of your data without your permission.

This website is definitely a scam!! DO NOT GO ANYWHERE THIS!!! Stolen my life saving!! Sucks, Check the website on my display picture section to get refunded.

Was about to pay for VPN account with crypto and BitPay. The cost was $40 for the product. Connected to Wallet and BitPay requested I approve $200 transfer from my wallet. Scam, fraud and extortionate company. STAY AWAY!

Se supone que iba a recibir un pago y por ser nueva me pedian 70E para poder activar mi cuenta. Después, me dijeron que necesitaba pagar otros 70€ más para no se qué de la seguridad, luego 100€ por la comisión central que se pedía en mi país, y así más y más.. en fin, un montón de milongas que son todo mentira, es un saca perras.
Yo personalmente, creo que les iría muchisímo mejor si pudiesen ser más claros con todo lo que tienes que pagar para poder recibir un pago que es tuyo. Se han quedado mi dinero personal, más el dinero que me enviaron.
El de "support" me habló todo el rato con un desprecido, mandadome cosas tipo: You have to do what I tell you to do. En ningún momento sentí que eso fuese un equipo que represente una empresa, mas bien un chalado que intenta sacar dinero.

Me mandaba la dirección de la wallet a la que tenía que enviar todo mi dinero, pero jamás vi mi dinero reflejado en ningún sitio. En fin, una fraude total! Ni se os ocurra abrir una cuent aquí. Además me decía todo el rato, tranquila ya no tendrás que pagar nada más… y pum! Volvía a decirme que tenía que pagar otra vez, luego me decía que no tenía que pagar más y luego OTRA VEZ…y así constantemente!!

Además, me enviaron varios emails con hasta 3 logos diferentes de BitPay… una vergüenza!

Luego, encima tienen como servidores externos donde puedes comprar Bitcoins y demás. Yo usé MoonPay y, por error mio, metí dinero ahí ewn vez de en BitPay y ahora lo quiero recuperar y es imposible. Me dice que tengo que enviar las bitcoins a un wallet que me ha generado el mismo programa y me sale un QR que no se puede ni escanear, no sé si es porque tiene virus o porque es un QR falso. Y encima en ningún sitio he podido encontrar un sitio donde se pueda enviar bitcoins. Sólo se puede comprar, vender o cambiar. Pero enviar, no.
En fin, todo esto se está convirtiendo en un verdadero infierno.

Updated 11. dec 2024. After almost 3 weeks I finally received my refund. So I changed from 1 to 2 stars.
I used bit pay to purchase some goods online. They deducted the amount from my xrp wallet right away, eventhough the payment was declined by the Store. I have now been writing with support for 2 weeks, without geting my payment back. Replies from suport are mostly stardard replies, without reading the information I have sent. It even says on bitpay, that I have a refund awaiting. But I cannot acces it. After 10 days i am starting to think that my xrp are lost.

I wanted to simply buy, say, a prepaid Chevron/Kroger's/Visa card of $500 today from my cryptocurrency. BitPay's website suggests that for transactions under $3,000 in the states you don't have to verify your account. Sadly, this is not the case. Their privacy agreement could easily allow them to sell your data to the government for vague reasons.
Contacting their support they initially didn't read my email, sending in a template response. I replied and stated my concerns. The same agent bluntly said, "Unfortunately, if the system requires you to verify to continue the process, you must do it." I finished the conversation by suggesting that one of their competitors just sold me the gift card without the nonsense.

This is scam!!!!

Very bad bitpay is in a scam collaboration with Namecheap.com these individuals should be wipe out!!!

Made a payment to Namecheap account using bitpay gateway they declined my payment after sending bitcoin cash to there address for over 2 and half months we are still in refund process they keep creating tickets every for the same case simple thing to do let me send my bitcoin cash address to their support email for a refund they are trying to Scam me with long process which is rubbish and I promise to report this case to FBI Namecheap and bitpay must pay for the pains they've caused me!!!!

Keinerlei Support. Download der App aus dem Playstore funktioniert nicht. "Diese App funktioniert nicht auf Deinem Gerät". In meinem Konto auf der Website ist ausser FAQ keinerlei Support. Gut, zu wissen, bevor ich zu traden angefangen hätte.

First I registered my business for 75$ and then it was just a private account. They charged another 150$ for the business acount which than was rejected allthough it was exactly the same like the before accepted account.

Clunky system, forced account creation, occasional login errors.
Refunds are processed slowly (in my case, over 2 business days after confirmation from seller).
The worst Bitcoin gateway processor I ever used.
I recommend Btcpayserver and Cryptomus as better alternatives.

The worst customer service. After being client for years they stopped my account. Made me psy applicstion fee and then wanted more information then a freaking bank for a ten million dollar loan. I was client since 2017 to 2023.I'm not a bot or have any affiliation with any companies. I'm an owner. Trust me... They dont care about your business. If you have a problem you are screwed. O number and will cancel account and your left to Artificial I telligence and bots for months. I'm a business owner and did all the homework for you. DO NOT USE BITPAY. DO NOT PAY THEIR FEES. THEY ARE ANTI-BUSINESS. I found Nowpayments. They don't even want a single document. Hallelujah! So easy and started in one day. Bitpay offers no service. They don't charge and amazing for NONprofits. so much better for companies. Anybody who partners with PayPal is not your friend. Hope this helps! Power and freedom to the people and free enterprise.

Purchased some LTC and still waiting days later. Their email support seems helpful, but completely ineffective, following scripts and don't actually pay attention to what you are saying.
