It is not straightforward to contact your brewery to pass comment on a beer.

I take my ales seriously and have been a fan of your Black Sheep bitter for many years.
However my favourite beer type is an IPA and Wiper and True and Shepherd Neam producing excellent examples, which reflect the origin of this beer type: Well hopped to preserve the ale for its long journey round africa's Cape of Good Horn to and then across India.
I recently bought a bottle of your new Respire ale, with its multicoloured label rhat looks like a kids' vape container. I was stuck by how little flavour the beer has.
Your beer and its label reminded me of a comment that has always stayed with me for some 3 decades.

Many years ago I visited the Boddingtons brewery and remarked that the bitter's taste was not as strong as I remembered it to be.
I was told the taste had been toned down, as that is what the young people wanted! Is this what has happened to your Respire ale?

I look forward to hearing your response and will hope to make a pilgrimage to Masham, one of these years!

We have wanted to visit the brewery centre for some time now, I must say we were not disappointed! We booked the 16:00 brewery tour our guide Alan was friendly, knowledgeable, passionate about the brewery and the whole brewing process. He was a great tour guide and explained in detail the various processes of making all the types of beer on offer and some of the specials during or tour, he even popped over to our table after the tour for a few minutes for a chat and to make sure we were ok. We had also pre-booked a table in the bistro on site, all staff were friendly service was great and the food ordered was to a high standard and the tastiest we had for our whole trip away, when we come again, we will eat in the brewery centre on both nights as there was a great selection to choose from. They also have good gift shop onsite where you can buy all things Black Sheep, so we picked up a few mementos!
All in all the Black Sheep visitor centre & Tour is well worth a visit, we thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommended a visit!

We were staying over in Masham & found the sign for Black Sheep Brewery tour on a wander around this lovely little market town. We booked on the 11.30 tour which was given by Alan. He is a great tour guide and explained in detail the various processes of making the types beers whilst taking us to the different areas to show the equipment involved. He was very informative and added a lovely bit of humour to the tour.
After the tour we were invited into the lovely bar to sample 3 x thirds of a pint, of our choice, of the different beers & ciders.
There is also a lovely bistro on site & a great gift shop where you can buy all things Black Sheep !
All in all the Black Sheep visitor centre & Tour is well worth a visit, we thoroughly enjoyed it !

We made the trip 'oop north' from Canterbury - as we do every year - as you still can't get all the brews down south, and him indoors is particular to Imperial Russian now renamed Imperial Yorkshire, due to wokery - sigh!) and to Holy Grail - especially as it's fermented over burning witches (aren't they running short of them, yet?). Our car's boot is well full.of beers (including the specials) and T-shirts for moi. They're also shipping a crate of Imperial foc to us, as they'd run out!

Did the black sheep brewery tour. Our guide allen was brilliant. Explained the brewing process and the company's history brilliantly. Tried 3 (3rd pint) beers included In the entry price.great friendly staff .
Close to Masham town centre so strolled back later for sky footie

Tried the cider last weekend. Gorgeous crisp and extremely drinkable 10/10 ❤️
Will definitely be looking out for it

Black Sheep were kind enough to donate a brewery tour to our charity raffle which was gratefully received!

I decided because of this to personally buy some beer bundles from them for birthday presents. They came beautifully packaged and wrapped up safely so it all arrived intact. Would definitely recommend!

Brilliant, our host Alan was knowledgeable, professional and interesting. Great experience would recommend. Nice tasting afterwards of course, to draw it together
