Ordered bouquet but customer received teddy bear and chocolate with card for someone else. Requested delivery of original order to be told I needed to pay delivery again, atrocious service flowers finally arrived a week later nothing like bouquet ordered.
This company is just a ripoff will never deal with them again.

A complete scam - do not engage with them at all! They ruined my daughters day!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Didn’t delivery my daughter’s 30th birthday flowers! I requested a refund on the online chat, which they agreed to. They then for some reason despatched a box of flowers that arrived 6 days later?!! Customer service will now not respond to my emails. Wish I’d seen these reviews before paying them money!

Absolutely disgusting service! Charged for same day delivery, got an email in the late afternoon saying delivery was going to be next day, then they deliver to the wrong address (my billing address, not the address I asked them to be delivered to), jump on their online customer service chat, no empathy, no sorry, and haven't even replied to my dissatisfied email. F these guys, DO NOT USE

I would like to leave less than 1 star. Disappointing and frustrating. Same day delivery was 12 days late!!!! Some of the flowers were dead on arrival. Attempted to cancel, but apparently the bouquet was upgraded. Called numerous times, calls were dropped, or transferred to managers who did not answer. Did not Google Bloomex in the first place. Do not use this overseas based company.

Zero stars. Ordered a same day service then got three separate calls saying they couldn't deliver until 3 days later. Asked for a refund, then got 5 separate emails (two saying my name was someone else) avoiding processing a refund and offering a store credit or a $5 same day fee to be paid back (it was around $25-$30). Refusal to pay a refund for not being able to deliver is a breach of the Consumer Guarantees Act and their website is misleading which is a breach of the Fair Trading Act. On top of this, their offshore customer service was incompetent and rude - and it's a major scam. Wish I'd seen some reviews before making a spontaneous flower purchase

This feels like a scam. They make it look like they are local to the area you are wanting flowers delivered to. I paid for same day delivery and they told me they could not do that. I said I wanted to cancel the order. I was then ignored, and kept getting told the same thing when requesting a refund. Three days later and still the flowers have not been delivered. Do not use them.

It wasn’t flowers for us -it was their gift basket, for which nearly $97 was paid all up, including extra for Same Day Delivery. Arrived the next day, products were mostly cheap items from China, Korea, Indonesia, nothing like the advertisement. The NZ component included a packet of Milk biscuits. These were compressed milk powder, not meant for be consumed as biscuits. Horrible.
DO NOT ORDER A GIFT BASKET FROM MEL’S FLOWERS aka BLOOMEX. They said the order, made online from Wellington was to a local company - nope. When messaged asking for their location, they asked what I wanted to order!
I have made a complaint to the Commerce Commission as a complaint against Misleading advertising.

What didn't go wrong. I feel such shame and embarrassment on my family name for not bothering to check the reviews of this scam artist masquerading as a legit business. The order never arrived on time for my mum's 60th, and in the following days. When I called them to complain, I was met with rude resistance, and was told nothing could be done, and they resent the flowers with a piece of chocolate attached. Not only did my order not arrive on time, the flowers that eventually rocked up did not match in the slightest. There were about 18 less flowers than expected, and the "bouqet" could not possibly ever qualify as a "bouquet". I was so embarrassed that I had to call my mother and apologise for bringing shame to the family name. I truly hope the people behind this shameful scam rot in hell. Peace and love to y'all.

I ordered 60 lilies to be delivered for a special birthday gift. The recipient received a couple of dozen alstromeria. The company did not advise of the delivery as they advertised, and refused any compensation for what they admitted as a "mix-up".

My policy is always to check company reviews now before dealing with them. But my staff member was going through a rough time and I did not think - I just wanted her to receive flowers.
I ordered them 7.45am selected a flower shop that i thought was in the same suburb as her and guaranteed same day delivery if ordered before 1pm. So I was well and truly within this timeframe. At 8.35pm, I for some reason checked my work emails to find an email saying the courier had already left by the time I had ordered and now they will not deliver until Tuesday - 5 days later as is Easter. So same day if ordered before 1pm, I ordered at 7.45am and was informed not by a phone call and not early enough to organise something else- but in my work email. Bad service and majorly let down.

Bloomex NZ is a scam florist, taking your money but then not deliverying the flowers. They call you, when they are trying to deliver, but dont leave a message, then they dont answer the call when you call them back to see where the flowers have been left. Then they claim they have left them but no evidence provided. When I rang the wrong florist advertising below them she said she thinks Bloomex is a scam and when I google Bloomex NZ scam sure enough there are many similar reports. They have also been featured in Australia as a scam and fined $1 million dollars. go and search them at 1news dot co nz. Or just search it on google. Go to a proper florist and spend your money there, one that has great reviews because in fact Bloomex has no reviews because they have turned that feature off in their google so you cannot leave them reviews.

Worst company I’ve ever dealt with. There’s no resemblance between their advertised product and what was delivered- late too. Tried phone contact and had the call terminated by them. The flowers were old wilted and crushed with some stem splinted. JUST A BUNCH OF SCAMMERS.

BEWARE! Please DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SCAM COMPANY. I would give them minus 0 if i could. I purchased a bouquet for my mother's birthday in June 2025 and im still waiting for their delivery in March 2026. After being told the bouquet would be delivered on the day I received an email saying sorry there had been a delay and could not be delivered until the following Monday (3 days later). On the Monday I got a message from NZ post saying they had a damaged non deliverable parcel from Bloomex. You guessed it, the parcel was the bouquet that had been sitting at NZ Post for 3 days not their so called special Florist couriers. I have had nothing but drama trying to get a refund of $150 so I've lodged a complaint with the Commerce Commission.

Wished I hadn’t ordered through these cowboys - they posed as a local florist and the order wasn’t the colour or flowers I had specifically requested - very dodgy

Lovely bright cheerful flowers with a extra vase! Upgraded my delivery so that was a bonus too. Any improvements could be correct stock levels at locations? Thanks

Dreadful!! Flowers don’t look like the picture. Delivered late despite paying $19.95 for same day delivery. Don’t answer customer care emails. It’s a scam. Avoid!!

Do not use this company, terrible customer service, flowers never delivered, no communication, kept hanging up on me and would not transfer me to a manger-do not use!

Purport to be a national company, but are based in Auckland. I paid extra for a same day delivery to Wellington, but next day got email to say it would not be same day. The blue vase I paid for was not available so they sent a blue one. The flowers were rubbish - didn’t last. DONT USE THIS PACK OF COWBOYS!

If I could give 0 stars I would, this company is a scam , I ordered flowers for my daughter and they sent nothing like I ordered , a measly 4 flowers in a ugly vase NOT the beautiful bouquet and vase I had ordered and paid for ..terrible that they are allowed to carry on doing this to innocent consumers.
