Impossible to return
The rug I received doesn't match the colours shown on the website. Unfortunately I wasn't sent photos of the rug prior to shipment as was expected, which would have avoided the present situation. I asked to return the rug. However I'm now told it's not possible as "the rug has been used". This claim in entirety false as the rug was put down in the room for one hour, with no one treading on it, and then stored in a guest room.
When asking an explanation for this claim, and the fact that not photos where sent prior to shipment I am met with silence.
I now have a 700€ rug which I cannot use and can't return. I feel cheated and do not recommend this company

First, we would like to clarify that this rug was a custom-made order, carefully handcrafted specifically for you by Berber women artisans in Morocco. Each rug is made entirely by hand, knot by knot, using traditional techniques. Because of this handmade process, slight variations in tone and texture are natural and part of the authenticity of a true artisan rug. Lighting, screen settings, and natural wool variations can also affect how colors appear online compared to in person.
Regarding the return, we absolutely do accept returns. However, as explained in our policy, custom-made rugs and rugs that have been placed or used cannot be resold as new. Once a handmade rug has been unrolled, placed on the floor, and handled, it is no longer in its original production condition. As a small Moroccan business working directly with women artisans — not a large factory — we cannot absorb the full loss of a custom piece that was created especially for one client.
We also want to clarify that we always inspect every rug carefully before shipping. Quality control is extremely important to us because every piece represents weeks of manual work by our artisans.
We understand this situation is frustrating, and we remain open to respectful communication to find a fair solution. Our goal has always been to provide authentic, high-quality handmade Moroccan rugs while supporting traditional craftsmanship and the women who depend on this work.
To future customers reading this review: we are a small artisan business in Morocco, not mass production. Every rug is handmade, unique, and created with care. We are proud of our craftsmanship and the thousands of happy clients worldwide who value authentic Berber artistry.

I ordered and received 2 beautiful 8x10 rugs and received them in September, and as I was doing renovations I kept them rolled up until this week when the work was done. Finally put them down on Friday and I am very happy with them . The owner kept in touch with prompt responses when I messaged him. I would definitely recommend this shop.

When my rug arrived, it was so big rolled up. I thought I had this ordered the size. When we unenrolled it, it was the perfect size just super plush! Beautifully made and excellent communication from the seller. Do not hesitate if you find something you love.

The best rug you can find for the price
These rugs are definitely incredibly quality and for the price it's an insanely good deal. The weight and the feel is not like any rug you can buy from mass production companies. The owner is an honest business person. There was originally an issue with my order and the owner acted very promptly to rectify the issue. I'm in the process of ordering another rug from them.

Awful rug, nothing like the picture. Terrible service

Dear Abdelilah - It doesn't matter where you are based - (New York in your case, NOT Morocco) - if you're selling to UK customers you need to comply with UK law and your returns policy is against the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 which states that the retailer is responsible for returns when the goods are not 'as described' 'fit for purpose' or 'of satisfactory quality'. The rug I received failed all of these. You need to either comply or stop selling in the UK. I have emailed you countless times with no reply so please stop pretending in this review that you're happy to discuss the matter.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I was excited to order a beautiful pale blush and cream rug that looked lovely on the website with clear photos of a smooth pile, clean edges and a professional backing to a modern looking rug. What turned up was a very shaggy wool rug in an uneven shape, smaller than ordered, with long tassells added to all corners and a prominent border pattern also added to all edges. The rug won't lie flat and has no backing to it. It looks nothing like the website pictures and is poor quality. After several persistent emails BM finally agreed to a refund but only if I paid for the return postage to Morocco. This is against your UK consumer rights, as all costs should be borne by the retailer when the customer is unhappy. But of course this was met with more silence. DO NOT BUY from them YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RETURN ANYTHING OR GET YOUR MONEY BACK

1. Handmade Variation
Every rug we create is 100% handmade by Berber artisans using natural Moroccan wool. Because of this, slight differences in texture, pile height, and finishing can occur compared to studio photos. This uniqueness is part of what makes handmade rugs special, but we understand it may not be what every customer expects.
2. Product Received vs Product Ordered
We provided multiple photos and videos of the rug you received before shipment, and the order was approved prior to dispatch. However, we fully respect your opinion if the rug still did not match your expectations upon arrival.
3. Return & Refund
We did not refuse your refund.
We approved the refund as soon as you requested it.
As a small artisan business based in Morocco—not a UK company—return shipping is covered by the buyer. This is clearly stated on our website before checkout.
UK Consumer Law applies to UK-based retailers.
For international purchases, return shipping costs are determined by the retailer’s country, and our policy is fully compliant.
4. Our Commitment
We always aim to resolve any issue fairly and respectfully. If there was any frustration during communication, we sincerely apologise. Our goal is never to leave a customer unhappy.

30 day return
Beware of Bohemia marrakech 30 day return policy. Dealt with Abdelilah wanted a address return label so shipping co. could bring cost down to same amount as bohemia paid to send to us. Would not cooperate
Disappointed would not recommend company. Note shipping company wanted over $2000 we paid $1500
for the rug. So if you are not happy with the rug you won't be able to return it
BEWARE
If your not happy with your rug you will eat it like we have to.
