Bought a gold chain for a Christmas…
Bought a gold chain for a Christmas box. The money was taken straight from my bank and twenty minutes later I recieved a call to inform me that the chain was not available and should not have been on the website. ( I still recieved a confirmation of the order before the call). Also I had to wait for the refund which was a quite substantial amount therefore having to spend more money to buy another chain from elsewhere.

The item should not have been available to purchase online, and I fully understand how disappointing it would have been to place an order, receive confirmation, and then be contacted shortly afterwards to say it was unavailable. While we acted quickly to inform you, to try and rectify the issue as quickly as possible.
Your refund was processed immediately from our side once the issue was identified. However, the time it takes for funds to appear back in your account is dependent on your bank or card provider’s processing times, which is out of our hands and can unfortunately take several working days.

Always a positive experience
Every single experience in Browns (and there have been many) has been a pleasurable one. I have not always bought something - as there might not have been anything in the store that’s caught my eye. But each time the entire staff have been amazing. My latest visit was just after the Halifax store had moved to bigger and better premises. It looks amazing now ! I was browsing for a Christmas gift for me (from my husband - also with me) and there was a great deal of choice. I wanted diamond studs and the ladies could not have been more helpful - not pushy (which I like) but very supportive and helped guide me to what I think are the perfect pair.
I genuinely would not go anywhere else for my jewellery - or for gifts for friends. Their range is significant from £ to £££ and I am always spoilt for choice.

Poor quality/value
I bought a white bracelet and necklace. They were both so thin you could barely see them. I should have sent back but didn't. Now few not later I have neither as they were so thin they must have both broken and been lost, within a week of each other.

We take product quality very seriously and this isn’t something we’ve experienced with these designs previously. All of our jewellery includes full product descriptions and measurements online to help customers choose a style that’s right for them, and if something doesn’t feel suitable on arrival we always encourage customers to get in touch straight away so we can help with a return or exchange.
As the items weren’t reported as faulty at the time and are no longer available for us to assess, we’re unfortunately limited in what we can determine in this instance. That said, we’d still like to see if there’s anything we can do to help.
