I purchased a dress after looking at it online. When I received the dress, it wasn't the item represented on the website. The website states a money back guarantee. BUYER BEWARE, you will be able to receive a 5% refund or store credit. You will not get your money back. The company isn't even in the US and everything is manufactured and shipped from China.

I never got my item nor am I able to reach anyone regarding it. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. I lost out $65.

I ordered a dress from bycabotcove.com. It arrived with no labels on it (sewn in or attached). No receipt, no acknowledgement of order included. It is very cheaply made - a cheap shapeless prison dress totally describes this dress. We must have ordered the same exact thing because I also paid $49. I could have gotten a better dress at Walmart for $25 early this summer. I had the same exact experience as this writer and totally wish I had seen her review before I purchased:

"It looks like a prison issue blue, cheap non-denim dress shapeless and to the ankles. Beyond Blah. Alright it cost $49. but because I would have a huge project and extra expense returning to China they offered me 10% return. $4.90...whoopee. If I could give a minus star I would."

Initially, I liked the product, the short sleeve denim dress with the dropped waistline. I investigated by email and asked questions about the measurements, that sort of thing. I realized it was A.I. as customer service. Oh well, then I received the dress. It looks like a prison issue blue, cheap non-denim dress shapeless and to the ankles. Beyond Blah. Alright it cost $49. but because I would have a huge project and extra expense returning to China they offered me 10% return. $4.90...whoopee. If I could give a minus star I would.

Issue 1) Their website is deceiving showing Cabot Cove Maine. I think I am buying from a small store in Maine. In actuality, I was buying from China and the company is based in The Netherlands. Issue 2) The garment was of cheap polyester fabric, nothing like the online picture.
Issue 3) The return policy was terrible. 2 options were “Our proposal is as follows: we will refund 10% of the purchase amount directly back to your original payment method. In that case, you do not need to return the item.

For most customers in your situation, this is the logical choice. A physical return to our international warehouse can amount to up to £30 in shipping costs (at your own expense), plus any potential customs duties, and the processing takes 4 to 6 weeks.”
CONCLUSION; I would not recommend buying from them as you will be stuck with a terrible product due to the unacceptable return policy.

This is a company that purports to be in Maine, but actually it is Chinese and it operates from China. In the fine print on its website, it states that any returns must be shipped by trackable mail to China at the buyer’s expense, e.g. FedEx, which may cost more than the product itself. The buyer must also pay all customs payable to admit the return parcel into China. As a result, when you email to notify them of a return and request a refund, they point out the extremely high mailing cost of a return makes it impractical to do so, and offer a meager 10% discount.
