Cartridge Land use a bait and switch technique to get your business. They draw you in by offering branded cartridges at prices far below their competitors online then ring you the next day and say they are 'unfortunately' out of stock of the branded product, but they have generic cartridges at a 'very' good price. Don't fall for their con.

Ordered 2 branded cartridges then was called the next day to say they were out of stock and would I their non-brand alternative. I requested a refund, which was made within 4 working days, however the cartridges are still showing as in stock. I think they price them low to get orders they can't fulfill...

I believe what Cartridge Land does is offer original manufacturer replacement toners at less than everyone else offers, then once you have paid, call you to offer "compatible" cartridges instead. Seeing others that have said the same in their reviews confirms my suspicions. Poor practice and certainly would not recommend them as a company now.
At least they refunded me quickly once the pushy salesperson had failed to sell me an alternative.
UPDATE: In response to Printerland's response to me. If you are the person I spoke to earlier, then I felt quite pressured to accept your alternative cheaper product. I had to be quite firm with you. Once you realised that I was not going to go ahead then you accepted and refunded me, which was a plus in your defence, but also illegal to do anything else of course.
I'm not stupid and it's fairly easy to see this is a good ploy to sell people compatible toners. It's fairly easy to sell something that you know whether you have stock for and blaming these issues on supply chain is not really acceptable.

They rang me to explain this and offered me 2 remanufactured ones,which I accepted
They came the following day and worked perfectly,at half the price of an original!

The item I ordered was not currently in stock so they offered me two similar items for the price I had paid. This was a good offer and quite acceptable. I had a small issue with my equipment, which was not their problem, but they helped me to resolve it.
You don't often get this kind of goodwill nowadays.

They rang me and politely and patiently answered all my questions. The inks arrived the next day as promised and work absolutely fine. Couldn't want for better service. The personal touch makes all the difference. I am so wary of printer inks as so often they don't work. And great value.

Wonderful customer service and, when a package got lost in post, a replacement was sent out immediately. Will definitely buy ink from these people in future.

I have paid for an HP cartridge to be informed the next day that it is out of stock and that I could have 2 non-genuine ink cartridge replacements. I am now waiting on a refund but am annoyed with this situation as I would have ordered the ink from elsewhere as it is needed this week.

Ordered an HP 12A online and paid. A few hours later got a phone call to say that the ordered item was not in fact in stock. This was followed by a hard sell for me to buy a non-genuine cartridge and when I said that was not a what I wanted they proceeded to suggest 3 of another alternative for the same price as the original. I reiterated I wanted an original and as they did not have it in stock to refund me. They did so within a couple of hours. So be prepared. Based on their explanation below I have raised the stars to 4* but in the end had no transaction with them.

Absolutely brilliant customer service. The cartridge I wanted wasn't in stock, so they rang and offered me an alternative and shipped it next day. Fantastic service and the cartridge works great! Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, the products weren't right for me. This was sorted out in a very professional and friendly manner and a prompt refund issued. Even though I had to get a refund, I would not hesitate to recommend this company. You won't find a better 5-star customer service anywhere.

Great customer service! Normally I'm slightly pessimistic about not using original cartridges (which they also do supply) however, they have convinced me and I have not had one issue since being a customer for over 5 years! - you guys have saved my business a lot of money!
