Made my dogs SICK
Was excited to introduce both dogs to this fresh food, one dog being in kidney failure. I ordered the water diet, thawed one pack in the fridge during the day and gave each pup a small amount (1-2 T) with their normal dinner. That makes about 1/4 of their dinner or less. By 3am both dogs showed food poisoning symptoms, vomiting and having very wet/liquidy diarrhea that continued into the next day. This caused significant problems in my already ailing dog, and we had to withhold food and give the other medicine before giving her chicken and rice. I reached out twice to the company and received the standard, sorry, but you probably just experienced their reaction to new food and you probably gave them too much new food. They will not refund anything even though we can’t feed the product to anybody. No replacement either. $100 gone and we used less that 1/4 of one pack and made my dogs incredibly ill. I guess they assume there is zero possibility of a bad batch or having an issue that could make the food bad. In all my years raising dogs, which is more than 15 dogs, I have NEVER had a dog react like that to “new food”.

This is absolutely not the experience we want for you or your pet. We work very hard to get our food delivered quickly and safely, but unfortunately there are times when a carrier delay occurs and a package does not move through the system as expected.
Based on your description, it sounds like the box experienced a significant delay while in transit, and I completely understand your concern. If food arrives warm, spoiled, or otherwise unusable, we do not expect you to feed it.
Please know that when situations like this occur, we are always happy to make it right. Whether that means issuing a refund, as we have done in this case, or sending a replacement shipment, our goal is to ensure you receive the quality product and service you deserve.

Our dogs really like this food
My 14 year old Shorkie and Mini Schnauzer look forward to meal times now because they really like their Fire diet Chi dog food! My Schnauzer has been a fussy eater but now tucks into her plate and doesn't walk away until it's all gone. I'm happy I heard about Chi dog and highly recommend this product.

Shipping was quick and handled with care. It's clear that lots of measures were taken to keep food fresh! I did see the corner of one package was broken (the chidog earth diet) - this wasn't a huge issue but I saw that the dry ice seemed to have broken the plastic bag it was contained in which might have caused the package to break open as well. Perhaps more barriers could be added between the food and dry ice or a different method be used to contain the dry ice? Overall still impressed with the product and delivery!

We also truly appreciate you pointing out the damaged corner on the Earth Diet package. While we’re glad it was not a major issue, feedback like this is incredibly helpful. Dry ice can sometimes shift during transit and become very brittle in extreme cold temperatures, which occasionally can contribute to small cracks or tears in packaging.
We will absolutely pass your comments along to our warehouse and shipping teams as we are always looking for ways to improve packaging protection and insulation between the dry ice and food trays.
