Great quality and Abby loved it!
Dr. Bohrer is very knowledgeable and kind. Abby enjoyed the food very much and clearly high quality and low carb, which was what exactly she needed with her liver issues. Highly recommend.

The food constipated my yorkie
The food constipated my yorkie, in 1 day he stopped eating it. The food also came out in his poop like it was never digested. Very expensive food.

Great Quality and Convenience, but Early Price Increase Is Concerning
I recently started my pet on Chi Dog food and signed up for the subscription and overall I’ve been very happy with the experience so far. The food itself is clearly high quality—my dog absolutely loves it and has been doing really well on it. I’ve noticed good energy levels, a healthy appetite, and no stomach issues, which is always a big plus when switching foods.
Delivery has also been excellent. Each order has arrived on time, and the packaging is secure and well done, which keeps everything fresh and makes storage easy. The convenience of having it delivered regularly has been a huge help.
My only concern is the pricing. I just signed up last month and am only on my second order. I’m ready to receive my third shipment and got a notification of an 8% price increase. I understand that the food is premium and you get what you pay for, but it’s already on the more expensive side, so seeing a price hike this quickly after starting the subscription is a bit discouraging.
That said, the quality and service have been great. I’m hoping the pricing stabilizes because I’d really like to continue using this product long term.

Great food!!
We have 2 super picky eaters. We love the ingredients and it looks and smells amazing!! The service was great too. One dog wouldn’t eat any of the five varieties (nothing new so no reflection on the food) and the other likes only the beef and pork. But that’s exactly why having the trial pack is so awesome. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it seems inaccurate since my dog wouldn’t eat it. It is the best looking and smelling dog food with the best and most simple ingredients that I have found and hoped it would work for us. I certainly recommend it for anyone looking to give their pup the best!!

Also, thank you for the honest note about the star rating. We completely understand: even if the food is high quality, it still has to pass your dog’s “taste test,” and every dog is different.
If you ever want to give it another shot, a few things that often help picky pups are:
lightly warming the meal (5–10 seconds),
adding a splash of warm water and mixing,
or starting with the proteins they already like (beef/pork) and slowly blending in a small amount of another variety over time.
Either way, we truly appreciate the thoughtful review — and thank you for recommending us to others who want the best for their pups.

My dog absolutely loves this food. After I heat it and stir, it seems to expand on the plate. There is always more than enough. I also like the texture and it smells so delicious. I feel good about feeding my senior dog this healthy food.

So far so good! Product was packed very well and came frozen and intact. My only issue was the very confusing instructions on how much to feed my dogs. I eventually figured it out myself, so not really a big deal.

A few tips that often help with picky kitties:
Warm it slightly to boost aroma.
Start with a tiny amount (pea-sized) mixed into their current food, then slowly increase over 7–14 days.
Try serving it on a flat plate (some cats dislike bowls touching their whiskers).
If your vet is recommending it for one specific cat, we can also help you pick the best formula/texture approach for that cat’s needs.
You’re doing the right thing by continuing to offer it gently — and if you’d like, tell us what foods they currently like (pâté vs chunks, poultry vs fish, etc.) and we’ll suggest the easiest transition plan.
