The lawyer representing your CHIP mortgage company dragged there feet, made the process stressful and I ended up with submitting a complaint. Poorly handled by your legal team. My contact for CHIP - Kyle was very professional & I appreciated being kept in the loop.

Sandeep was a pleasure to work with...she was friendly, polite, efficient and knowledgeable. She always called back or sent an email when she said she would.

To me, the most important part of going through the process of a reverse mortgage was feeling well informed and getting professional and caring service. This was provided by Hisham Abouraya.
***I would like to see CHIP make higher loan amounts available to, what they consider, more remote areas though.

I wouldn't necessaryily call my experience great ... it was something that I had to do. I was a bit disappointed that some of the information that I should have had up front came much later in the process. And I feel that some of the costs were out of line ... the evaluation of my home ... I feel that I was charged an exorbinate amount for 10 minutes of work ... some of the other costs came out of the blue and were, in my mind, unreasonable. I think you company could be a lot more out front about ALL these costs.

Too many ads very annoying. Why bother us old folks with ads everywhere. Feels like a scam

After much research, I felt a chip reverse mortgage was exactly what I needed. I dealt with Sharon Chapman who was incredibly patient and helpful. It took me longer than normal to gather up all the paperwork I needed due to medical problems. Months if not a year went by, but Sharon took my calls immediately every time I called and helped me with every step in the process. She also explained everything to me in simple terms that I could totally understand. As we are in a different time zone, I am two hours behind her and I know at times she was talking to me on her time off.! I highly recommend Sharon Chapman if you were thinking about getting a reverse mortgage I have now received mine, and it sure all turned out exactly as Sharon said it would. Perfect!!

I've had a very positive experience working with Rachele Dunn, a mortgage specialist, at Home Equity Bank to obtain a CHIP reverse mortgage.
Rachele was extremely informative throughout the whole processing took the time to clearly explain each step to me. She was always patient and made Sur all my questions were answered, which really helped me feel comfortable and confident moving forward.
Her professionalism, knowledge and willingness to help made what could have been a stressful situation much easier to navigate. I truly appreciated her support and guidance, and I would highly recommend HEB and Rachele to anyone looking for clear information and excellent customer service.

I was a total sceptic about HEB and CRM, I really needed help and my girl at the BMO recommended speaking to a HRB Rep and set it up on familiar ground at my Branch. John Quickly calmed my concerns and explained what could be done for us. He laid it all out and gave me time to read and think about his advice when we accepted to go forward I was Assigned to Dorothy Kerr he again went over the details walked me right through the process and again gave me time to think before moving to the next step as Ii had no lawyer she set me up with a local office and I went in with a tentative attitude as every Lawyer I had met before was cold and disinterested again immedeately I was put at ease and given a chance to speak my mind and found them to be personable and easy to talk to as to the end the deal was signed and within a few days all was set and our lives became simple again I have all ready passed their names along to do business with them and will surely keep doing it

Meeting our rep in person was awesome.
She went through the process and put my wife and I at ease.
Communication was awesome with all 3 reps that were assigned to us.
All were very courteous and very professional.
The whole experience was awesome dealing with Home Equity.
Would recommend said company to all that require a Reverse Mortgage .

I contacted Home Equity Bank in June 2025 to look into a reverse mortgage and find out how it works. I was contacted by Angela Lattuca Efstathiou, Mortgage Specialist. She was very pleasant and informative. She took the time perhaps an hour or more to answer my numerous questions. At no time did she ever apply pressure or rush the conversation. I told her I need to think about it but if I decide I'll be in touch.
Fast forward to Feb. 2026, I contacted Angela on Feb. 17 to proceed and we wrapped it all up Feb. 27.
I highly recommend Angela for any needs you may have. She is a joy to work with. Absolutely no pressure. I'm actually going to miss our talks!!
