We are pleased with the simplicity of the reverse mortgage process, but also displeased in the lack of direct communication from Home Equity Bank (HEB). We received our funds 4 days early, but we were also led to believe that our existing mortgage would be paid off first. We received no communication from HEB welcoming us, or telling us that the reverse mortgage is in effect and the funds deposited in our account. We also did not receive any indication that it could take 10 to 15 days for our current mortgage to be paid out. Clear communication up front about all of this would have provided us some comfort and assurance. Logging into my bank and seeing that our mortgage still existed and the the bank says we still owe them $105,000, was somewhat frightening.

Very friendly and professional customer service , I was dealing with Mr. Hugh Anderson , he is a pro , answers all your concerns with patience , Highly recommended.

Had a great agent to work with, he went out of his way to accommodate my concerns.

I must say Agnes Letkeman is the best if I could give 10 stars I would. The communication between us was totally amazing she would call even though there was no change in our case. I have no words to express my gratitude towards her. She is the greatest thank you so much for her patience for every call for her understanding for the great person that she is.

We worked with two representatives.......our main representative was absent for a couple of weeks and the second representative exhibited the same professionalism as our main contact. Both were patient and courteous in handling our questions.

The process is slow. I am still not in receipt of my money. Perhaps you should delay the sending of the congratulations until after the process is complete.

We found that Agnes Letkeman guiding us through the process of applying for our mortgage an excellent process. She was clear in the steps and our questions. She was very patient with us we never felt pressured from her and were comfortable every step of the way.

From the first telephone call, throughout the process, and until the funding was approved, I've had a great experience working with Niel Palit. Niel was always professional, thorough and helpful, patient, friendly and kind. He kept me informed on the progress of my application, and helped me through the steps required in a mortgage process. Niel's information and instructions were always very clear, and this made it easier for me to make the necessary decisions. I realize that I was not the easiest client Niel has worked with, as I was not always readily available when 'next steps' needed to be taken. The exceptional and patient customer service Niel provided was what helped me to make the ongoing decisions required to finalize my application.
I know that Niel frequently worked outside his regular business hours to make this a smooth and rewarding process for me, and I appreciate having had the opportunity to work Niel and the Home Equity Bank.

Although I did a lot of research independently, my mortgage specialist, Mike Wells was extremely thorough, made sure I understood what was involved in a reverse mortgage and answered all my questions thoughtfully and honestly. I never felt pressured to proceed and he kept me updated throughout the process.

I made error on submission which is usually toxic with a bank. Mike helped me make corrections and made it work. Thanks to him. Thanx
