I purchased a house with alarm system maintained and monitored by Churches. It started faulting a month in, before I had even tried to use it or had a chance to call them to talk about transferring the account. They then wanted an extortionate amount of money to essentially transfer account to new name. They also left us high and dry with a faulty alarm that was triggering in the night and quoted us a weeks wait for an engineer to disconnect it - also for an extortionate amount of money - just to literally turn it off! Terrible customer service. Terrible business acumen - who wants to continue service like that at any price!?

Had a young George Shepherd come in to do our service a few weeks ago. He was very polite and knowledgeable with what he had to do. Was such a pleasure having him in, helpful as we also had a fault which we couldn’t figure out. Puts the past engineers we have had to shame aswell with how clean he worked. Very happy with his performance. Please pass over the feedback as I know good work does go unnoticed and he really deserves the credit.

Dan Jones has visited the care home I manage Westall House Horsted keynes on various occasions and has always been so friendly and polite, today he is here for a second visit this week and his professionalism with staff and his understanding of the complexities of the home is so reassuring . Dan is so kind and chatty to the residents which they love. Thank you

Cannot believe how much i was charged to reinstate an alarm system that was already present. Communication is really poor, and everything is the customers fault.

Cannot recommend less.

Huseyin was knowledgeable and helpful and very reassuring, turned up when he said he would and could not have been more accommodating.

26th March: Came on site to work on an issue, broke our AOV system. Our entire building is left wide open for 3 weeks because we can't close the ground floor smoke vent windows which are stuck open.18th April: Call to ask if they can come first thing Tuesday as it's Easter Bank Holiday and nothing is open. Tuesday 22nd: No show. Thursday 24th, today, finally showed up at 1:30pm today. (Exactly 5 hours after our concierge got his ladder out and fixed the problem in 5mins).

Scammers . Commission based engineers upselling parts you don’t need and take you for a fool.

Truly awful company. I don’t know where to begin and or end. The owner of my company stated “RIP OFF Merchants’. Don’t do it folks they sign you up on 12 month rolling contracts. STAY AWAY 70 % plus 1 star ratings tells you all you need to know 👍

Do not use! I pay £144 for firealarm checks through one company South Yorks based, and these charge £420 for the same job in Liverpool. RIP off merchants 👍

One of the worst companies I have encountered.

Raised a complaint about being overcharged for servicing three extinguishers. Engineer on site for 5 minutes and then went to the next business downstairs and did the same.

Never replied to the complaint, but will happily send you endless pages of terms and condition that "you have accepted", and threaten legal action.

I would never recommend this outfit to anyone.

They are a difficult company to work with. We've had issues with scheduling, overselling of unnessesary parts, promised quotes that never come etc. Plus their phoneline cuts you off half the time while you are going through the automated advisor, which itself is very annoying. This is bad when you are attempting to call but really problematic when you are trying to get through to the receiving centre about an alarm that has been triggered.

Awful! Took over SAMSON, a great company. Sent me threatening solicitors letters for a debt I didn't owe. Apologised, offered to do the next service in December, then cancelled my account in November!

I approached Churches because I wanted a simple annual maintenance service for my Intruder Alarm system to support my Home Insurance Policy. I approached them because I wanted a local company that might also adopt some good local customer care. Their annual service quote was 20% higher than what I already pay with a different larger firm, but before all that, they wanted a one-off fee of £145 + VAT to change and input their own engineer codes, put their company stickers all over my equipment, and issue me with a “takeover certificate”. Takeover being the operative word, as though they assume ownership over MY equipment. Simply money for old rope. Regarding these engineer input codes, I smell a trap here, because if you wanted to leave their services, they will want an exit fee (I gather around £350) to unlock and release the codes - this is in effect a form of blackmail. At 66% negative TrustPilot Reviews they need to take a long hard look at themselves, or their “Direct Sales Executive” needs to loose his job. Note Churches response regarding your equipment is “simply looked after by us”. The only person that needs a security code for their intruder alarm system is the owner, their is simply No need for Churches to inject their own engineer codes. The only reason is to lock you out from changing to alternative company and ensure you pay your way towards releasing the codes. It’s simple entrapment.

Really happy they do listen and do what they say and feel very confident with the way the help and setup the systems perfect and Ian Burch was really excellent

I used to love MONO and renewed with them for 23 years before these robbers took over. They needlessly say they will change batteries and then send an invoice in the evening of that same day! MONO never used to charge for batteries. The good for nothing engineer shrugged his shoulders when I asked if I would be charged for battery change. After 25 years - it is time to stand up to these bullying creeps. Avoid them. I will not pay them anymore than I have already.

We have been a customer of Churches Fire Security for some years now and in all that time we have received excellent service, guidance and support from everyone at the company. The office based staff are helpful, friendly and professional and, just as importantly, their technicians are thoroughly professional and supportive.

We have used Churches Fire & Security for our commercial fire alarm, emergency lighting and fire extinguisher servicing for many years. The technicians are friendly, efficient and prompt. They have the reports signed and emailed at the time of the visit, and on the rare occasion we've needed a non-routine visit, they have arranged a technician to attend as soon as possible, and kept us updated throughout the process. Would highly recommend.

We received an invoice that wasn’t for us, it was for a different customer of Churches. I contacted their customer service department, explained the issue and was told I’d be contacted by the the accounts team. A month later and I haven’t heard anything. I sent a follow up email a week ago and still no response. Is this what they call customer service?!

Our engineer is very good.Professional,courteous and friendly.
