Very good experience for the onset. Great communication during the initial quote process and were more then happy to explain the quote. on moving day gents were very professional and swift. Would recommend them to anyone looking to move.

Amazing
I had a great experience with City moves. Usually moving can be quite stressful but they made it really easy. They arrived when they said they would and they helped with putting everything in the van. Nothing was damaged in the journey. Super friendly and helpful and the price was really affordable. Thank you again!

Excellent professional service. Requested quote on a Monday, came back with good price and availability next day to move. The two movers that turned worked really hard and moved everything out and in the new house within 3 hours. Thanks

Brilliant company with brilliant staff
I just wanted to say how pleased I am with this removal company, they were very professional from start to finish and the price was very competitive. The removal staff - Rhys, Jacob and Zak were hard working, very helpful and polite and I cannot praise them highly enough.
I would definitely recommend City Moves.

The 2 guys arrived on time and were very friendly. They were very quick emptying my house but took real care with my belongings. When it came too putting my things into my new home they put everything where it needed to be and again took care of my belongings. Can not give the 2 guys enough credit for how friendly they were and how good they were.

Worth the money!
The team turned up on time and were very professional packing the van and dismantling the wardrobes. They kept me informed throughout the process and were very polite. Having moved before without using a professional service I would not do so again. They made the process look easy and it was definitely less stressful than previous moves!

Very good company
I'm glad I had this company for when I moved recently. The men who came were lovely, very helpful and nothing was too much for them.

Stress free move
I found the whole moving experience trouble free, the crew arrived on time, extremely friendly and helpful and took great care in handling the furniture, would certainly use them again

An excellent move experience
Our house move was made so easy by Citymoves, we would advise everyone to use them.
We packed our own items and used boxes provided by them.
Our movers were Mario, Chris and Ashley.
They were amazing, absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them. They worked so hard, they made our life so much easier. We couldn’t believe how smoothly the move went.

Terrible
Terrible. They failed to take all our belongings, despite us explicitly checking they would fit as we had several large plants to take which we appreciated is not standard. We were assured repeatedly everything would fit. On the day, they said it didn’t. We had to leave a lot. That’s even though we had fewer items than on the film you send for a quote - including two fewer beds!
We were given four weeks free storage – except it wasn’t free. When the bill was sent we were told we would get four weeks free only if we first paid for 12 months. These ‘terms and conditions’ were not stated at any point. There were other ‘extra’ costs we weren’t told about either.
We tried to discuss the issues (there were others as well) afterwards but the company wasn’t interested.
To note, the men doing the moving on the day were very amenable and competent and apologised that we had been given the wrong information by ‘the office’.
Editing to respond to some of the most ridiculous points in CM’s nonsense reply below. As you’d expect, we’d seen our new house before we bought it, so knew we wouldn’t be using our old oven in our new kitchen. As there was an offer of ‘free’ storage we took it up and were told we could have four ‘free’ weeks which we planned to use for the oven while we looked to sell it. This ‘free’ storage cost us nearly £200. I have no idea what the prices quoted in CM’s fiction below are supposed to refer to – they are as unrelated to the reality of our experience as the rest of their story. The costs CM charged only went one way – up! If we had known these costs, we would of course have just kept the oven.
We raised all the issues clearly, fairly and repeatedly, including on the phone the Wednesday before I posted the review. CM was not interested, until this review. After failing to have our accurate review removed for being defamatory, they emailed asking to talk on 2 Feb. My reply, to Kirk at 14:06 on 2 Feb, explained our position yet again – I said (verbatim): “If you would like to discuss further over email, I’m happy to do so. It seems email would be best to ensure there’s a clear record for all.” We never heard back.
It’s slightly astonishing to read their reply – if only half as much effort were put into customer service. Terrible is now an understatement for our experience with this company. Hopefully they’ll treat customers better in the future. Or change track entirely and pursue their apparent interest in creative writing!

Thank you for your review even though we do think you are not painting a true picture of your service from us.
You emailed us prior to booking our services stating that your plants would be removed before your relocation day and that there was only a few you wanted us to take for you, we advised we could not guarantee this as we did not quote for these in our volume. However, we did say if they can fit on our vehicle, we would have no problem in taken them for you. A lot of plants we did take for you, but we could not fit them all on unfortunately. Reference to your storage you were not given any storage free as you did not even know that you needed it until your cooker didn’t fit into your new property. We advised storing your cooker would be no problem and it was £48 per 4 weeks for our smallest storage container. We run various promotions relevant to people’s volume of goods so all storage costs can differ. You emailed us after your cooker came into storage saying you had seen we have a flyer out for a £1 storage offer or 12 weeks free, which we do run subject to our terms and conditions. We did reduce your container cost from £15 plus VAT to £10 Plus VAT to help with your unexpected need for storage. We are completely transparent about costs and all our costs are on your quotation, I am happy to investigate any unforeseen charges that you were not aware of, I have emailed you direct regarding this. You have not tried to discuss anything with us as the first time we knew about this was when you made this review, we tried to call you and you advised you will not be answering us, we have tried via email also. If any of the above is not true, then please provide us all the miss information you have as we will happily investigate this for you. We welcome all reviews, but we do not agree with yours I’m afraid. Rating us terrible is not a true reflection on your service as what you have stated is incorrect.
However, we would like to wish you all the best in your new property.

Great move in two parts
Great move in two parts with some possessions for disposal and the majority back to Surrey. From the time Vic came to see us through to Scott and the teams taking care of our belongings we were very impressed with the service. Would definitely recommend the company and use them again if we had a need.

I found the firm city moves excellent
I found the firm city moves excellent . They were extremely helpful with moving my piano and also moving other furniture . They were very careful not to damage anything and kind and considerate . I would highly recommend this firm .

Smooth and Hassle free Move by City Move
City Moves arrived on time even when the traffic was heavy. They were quickly organised and my furniture was out of door in no time at all.
They delivered my furniture quickly . The whole thing was swift and hassle free. There was no time to worry or get stressed and my furniture was all in one piece. I would certainly recommend them.
