I received my kilt yesterday, Scotweb clan made sure I had it in time for a wedding. The quality and workmanship is amazing. It is even more amazing than the pictures of the tartan. If you want quality in an item go to these guys, they secure only top quality items from top producers and craftspeople. This kilt is beyond beautiful and amazing. Well done to all the team.

I own about 6 kilts, all manufactured by the best in Scotland. I must say that the Balmoral kilt I recently received from clan.com is by far the most beautiful tartan and best quality kilt I own. A special thanks to Hamish for putting up with my barrage of emails asking about delivery!

I have been the proverbial kid in the candy shop, only with tartans and Celtic accoutrements.

Christmas this year is a host of colour in Tartans, Jewelry, Teddy Bears in tartans both custom and clearance, Kilts, Belts, Sporrans, Sgian Dubh, Stockings, Sashes, Scarves, etc.

I was re-investigating Clan tartans (I'd done some research and received samples from a company back in the mid '90's) when I came across Scotweb Clan earlier this year.

I re-discovered the Blue Morgan Scottish tartan (MacKay Morgan), along with MacKay in other tartans and I knew about Sutherland up the ancestral line, too. There is also a Welsh Morgan but the Yellow was a bit bright for me.

Then I delved into the offerings of the Emerald Isle to find County Tartans vs. Clan Tartans. I found County Louth (ancient/original) has the Mackay-Morgan Blue running through it, too. I also liked Counties Sligo and Tipperary, any of which I could have selected since there are Morgans in all of them.

The Irish offerings can be a bit harder to find sometimes - I found an Irish Clan Kilt Pin almost by accident, after I'd already purchased some other kilt pins.

And the Tartan search engine is sometimes a bit picky - all CAPS works better than upper/lower case sometimes and some of the IRISH COUNTY tartans need some exactness. Look behind a pop-up error message - the tartan you're looking for may be listed behind it, waiting for you to re-click on it.

Note: Irish County Louth - I noticed that the "full assortment" kilts offer both the traditional, single wide Ancient colour AND the more recent "Crest" range tartan - which is based on the colours in the crest and is a double wide. Read the descriptions and look at the different colours used. If I were to want bulk fabric or the other items (tartan custom jacket has many fewer options) I'd want it in the Ancient colours not the crest colours, but they may not be listed.

Yes, I got "into the weeds" with my searches. Not every purveyor can offer every tartan. I'm just making you aware when you search to look carefully. Also click in to a returned tartan - there may be a dozen options of Ancient, Modern, Weathered, 16 oz, 13 oz, 11 oz, Polyvicose, etc. options underneath to explore.

They had an officer's sgian dubh that I tried to custom order but due to supply chain issues (COVID, Brexit?) the manufacturer has had to discontinue them. I did manage to get one of the officer's from the clearance section and two Stag Horn sgian dubh with the Celtic knot from the regular section. They arrived yesterday. The quality is magnificent.

I hope they can resurrect the Officer's at some point in the future.

I custom ordered some items and found the Clearance section where I went wild with the exceptional values.

I have placed 7 orders (10 but 3 were merged into others for shipping) since May. The last one is about to ship this week.

The staff was very helpful with my inquiries and my adding items. We couldn't accomplish EVERYTHING I was hoping to, but my bank balance doesn't attest to that!

I have been wearing an 8 yard Clan MacDonald Modern kilt that I purchased on clearance, plus a belt and sporran. I added a sgian dubh on a more recent order that I picked up from DHL yesterday.

The quality of everything I have seen, touched, has been first rate.

I showed my local tailor some of the sashes I bought on clearance to see if he could work with my daughters on making some custom skirts or dresses - he thought the fabric was first rate.

Orderd a kilt of my grand fathers clan tarten for his funeral and they sent me some random coat... I'm out of $370... and the coat looks kinda shabby... I would have liked to honor him by wearing the family pattern

The shawl i received was excellent and lightweight but I wish there was washing or dry cleaning instruction when it is necessary thank you I shall be back to buy further garments.

My kilt was exactly what i had hoped for, being a shorter person i was a bit apprehensive with the length when ordering but i am over the moon with my garment. Read the small print! scarf much too short to be used properly, absolutely not "luxury fine wool" (too rough to be worn around the neck; really), not "exquisitely made" (strip of tartan with basic hem and frayed at end to look scarf-like), BUT completely "non-refundable" despite very displeased customer. £74 for a shoddy item. Wish I had read details more carefully. To be fair - Scotweb replied promptly to my complaints but stood by the non-refundable/ what you got is what we listed. BUT the scarf was an utter rip-off. Have since bought for half the price and twice the quality elsewhere. Anyone want a very expensive strip of Sinclair Hunting Ancient 1884 variant?!

Great experience! Been looking for a Kilt Suit (kilt, waistcoat jacket all matching) for some time, but the typical "Cairngorm Slate" ex hire stuff was expensive on other sites.

Nice to see a range of different tweeds and different colours, have chosen something unique which will stand out. Some of the measurements take a while to figure out, but a great end result! Can't wait till the order arrives!!
