Lovely stay,Cottage perfect.It has all you need and more.Ideal location close for everything Definitely worth a return visit !!!

The location of the cottage was amazing, as were the views. The directions were good and access instructions were easy to follow. The cottage was spacious and had everything we needed for a week-long stay. Very easy booking process, we would use Cumbrian Cottage Holidays again.

We stayed at The Chard in Longtown and it was beautiful. So peaceful, relaxing, and the hosts were lovely.

A whole host of wildlife, and the pizza shop delivers direct to the cottage. The food was delicious!

We stayed for 2 nights and it was a lovely break for myself and my husband.

Will definitely be returning. ❤️

Easy communication

We had the most wonderful stay at Bluebell Cabin on the John Hutton Estate. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the peaceful setting—nestled in beautiful woodland with stunning views over the surrounding countryside. The cabin itself is spotless, stylishly decorated, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Waking up to birdsong and enjoying coffee on the veranda was an absolute highlight. The wood-burning hot tub made evenings extra cozy, and we appreciated the extra touches like local produce and local information provided by our lovely hosts.

It’s the perfect spot for walkers, nature lovers, or anyone just looking to unwind. We loved exploring nearby villages, and the Lake District is just a short drive away. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

This house is amazing! Obviously an “Arts & Crafts” themed house, with grounds to match. Had a break with our family & everyone did different things. An ideal place to explore.
The house was “sparkling” on arrival, & a really nice welcome pack in the kitchen. A well equipped kitchen & basically a lovely house for a family/party break.
We’ll be back!!!

Great views, wonderful surroundings and fabulous amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend Tottergill Farm to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

The host welcomed us upon arrival and showed us to our cabin. We stayed in the chard cabin which was beautiful.
The cabin is at the top of the property and enclosed off with its own hot tub, dexking area, pond and fire put area.

The inside of the cabin has all you need for a short break away and the rainfall shower was brilliant. The cabin has French doors that open up the full length of the cabin that looks over the pond area, was lovely to eat dinner at and even better to wake up to in the morning.

The cabin has speedy WiFi which was so beneficial as my singal was terrible.

Cannot recommend the cabin enough. We will definitely be back.

This was a lovely cabin in a prime location with a beautiful view. Very peaceful and nice modern interior. Good parking and nice fire wood hot tub, but do bring plenty of fire wood and kindling as it can take a bit of time to get going.

Great location well presented accommodation

The apartment was clean and comfortable. Conveniently close to the town centre, supermarkets and bus station. Key collection was easy, and the designated parking space was useful. Unfortunately, the parking permit was missing, so we made one of our own. We had a very good time.

Loved our stay at their lake front property, Tarn End Cottage. Beautifully furnished and clean. Hosts were very responsive and they were too kind to provide a travel cot for the little one (we didn’t even insist in having one!). Electric charging facility at their car park is functional and we loved it! Private access to the lake was a bonus 😀

Easy booking system and great communication before and throughout my stay. The cottage exceeded expectation, no expense has been spared on the decor and furnishings. Peaceful location but exactly what I wanted - can't wait to come back.

Stayed in the cottage in the hill.
Beautiful cottage only downside it was connected to the owners house… meaning we could hear everything and if we could hear them, they could hear us. Felt awkward going into the hot tub while the family ate dinner in the garden ( on the other side of a low wall )
Meant most nights were awkward and waiting for the family to go inside for us to enjoy the hot tub and even then there wasn’t a view to enjoy. If the cottage was by itself and no one else around it would have been a lovely stay !

Edit - it’s not letting me reply to your reply but I would just like to say it didn’t state ANYWHERE that we didn’t have the whole cottage and that there would be a family living there in the photos it shows the entire cottage ( and the extension that we soon found out was the only part we had ) it would be best to state that on all websites you use ( we booked through Airbnb)

The cottage is in Nice location with a marvellous view and with the open fire makes it ever so cosy

This will be the first time I’ve given less than five stars to a host. The problems we had could all have been solved by having a welcome booklet explaining the quirky parts of this property and also good instructions on how to operate the three locks you must negotiate to get into the property. However, none of this was done, so we had a very frustrating time getting into the property and figuring out the Wi-Fi system, how the hot water and shower work and any details about the property except what you can’t do and the penalties for violations of the rules. This definitely has clouded our experience.
So here are the details. If our problems are something that wouldn’t bother you, the location of the lodging makes up for a lot. There is easy access to town, walking trails, museums, restaurants, and grocery stores.
So here are the details of our frustrations.It took us approximately 10 minutes to figure out how to open the three locks to access the property because they all had tricks you had to figure out before they would open. In one case a bent key had to be forced before we figured out how to straighten it. Once inside, I wanted to connect to Wi-Fi to take care of some things and to let the owner know know about the bent key. There was nothing anywhere with information on how to connect to Wi-Fi. Since cell phone coverage in the area is spotty, each search took between three and five minutes to load. Getting what I needed to contact the owner was a really long process: get into email, check three or four emails, get the information about the owner, compose text, send a text, wait for a response. Multiply each step by 3 to 5 minutes, multiply that by being at the end of a long day and you get the picture. Also, since there was no booklet explaining things about the quirks of various appliances, every new discovery meant contacting the owner again to ask questions. Again, a very lengthy process, especially when you discover them one at a time and don’t know there’s another one around the corner.
The second major gripe centers around the hot water system.The next morning I got to start my day with an ice cold sponge bath because I couldn’t figure out how to operate the shower or how to get hot water out of the tap for more than 20 seconds. If pulling a nearly invisible cord at one end of the tub in order to get a shower to operate at the other end of the tub is in your skill set then you will be fine with this property. If, when, and for how long hot water will come out of the any of taps is still a mystery.
To end on a positive note, the firm beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is reasonably stocked for cooking utensils, and cookware, (no amenities, like spices, oil, a packet or two of coffee, two or three laundry packets). The heat works well, and the living room is comfortable. Again, the location is fantastic.
Owners, please make it easy for your guests to enjoy your property, and you will have a wonderful place to stay.
