Using proper cocoa butter matters to me because it gives chocolate that lovely melt and keeps the flavour where it should be... on the cocoa.

I’ve been buying from DGF for a few years and wouldn’t go anywhere else for my low carb chocolate. It’s always delicious and creamy.

David, I think “an acquired taste” is probably fair for some people.
Our chocolate is deliberately less sweet than a lot of mainstream bars, so it can take a little getting used to at first.

The chocolate is amazing, not too sweet and the experience that chocolate is supposed to be. The plain chocolate works great for cheesecakes, Tiramisu and ganache. Even though the price is a bit high, I won’t take a star away because you’re a small business and deserve the praise.

i like the fact it is sugar free obviously the taste well i expected a lot better to be honest for the price not as good as i hoped for maybe a bit of a saccharine after taste i think
i have tasted a lot of sugar free chocolate in the past it comes in the middle for me cant see me buying again though

Christopher, thanks for giving it a fair try and for being honest about where it landed for you.
Taste with lower-sugar chocolate can be very personal, especially if you’ve tried lots of different versions over the years. Some people are also more sensitive to the sweetener aftertaste than others, so I completely understand what you mean.
One thing I would suggest is trying it fully at room temperature. Because we use proper cocoa butter, the flavour and texture tend to come through much better as the chocolate warms and melts.
I’m sorry it didn’t quite live up to what you were hoping for, but I do appreciate you giving DGF a chance.

10 quid for a chocolate bar
10 quid for a chocolate bar, no thanks. And putting sweetener in it and marketing it as Real chocolate. it’s not a real chocolate. Chocolate is made from cacao beans, cocoa butter and Real sugar and doesn’t cost £10 a bar, you idiot. One absolute joke, they’ve got a voucher for 15% off and it’s by far the most expensive chocolate bar you’ve ever had and it doesn’t even have sugar in it piss off.

The bit about your daughter’s face lighting up at the thought of being able to have chocolate again really got me. Sometimes it’s not just about the chocolate itself... it’s about being able to have the same kind of treat as everyone else and not feel left out.
