I had been looking at having my horrible teeth that made me so insecure done for yeaaars and finally... it was time!!! Initial contact was via WhatsApp and Instagram. Sent them my full mouth pictures and even went further to get a professional scan from the dentist so they had a better understanding of the condition of my teeth. Received a quote, and I was assured multiple times that the price is final unless they find something drastically different going on inside my mouth.
Fast forward to Feb 2024, I land in Istanbul with my mum for support. Picked up by a very angry taxi man but nonetheless, hotel and transport both fine. Not great location hotel or quality but I wasn't there for leisure, so this was irrelevant to me.
First dentist appointment day, I am collected from the hotel and taken to the clinic. We start by taking photos, a 3D scan and a very short inital consultation to go over what is I wanted to achieve, but wasnt gicen opportunityto share photo inspiration etc, they basically chose for me. Within the first hour or so, I am separated from my mother and taken into a quiet office (you'll read about these 'quiet offices / side rooms a lot on these reviews) where they told me I needed to pay £1500 more for the work originally quoted. Straight away I'm pissed, I had a tight budget and they've intentionally got me alone and put me under pressure to pay a larger amount that wasn't justified. Eventually after lots of haggling (on their side!) I decide I didn't come to Turkey for nothing and we settle in the middle. My dentist proposed he crown all 20 of my teeth with bridges!! I only had one tooth missing so it really they only warranted one bridge - and any decent dentist will tell you the same thing. The reason they want to use bridges is because they require less skill, and they are faster and easier to instal, which means they can get me out quicker and make more £$€. Anyway, I insisted. And when I say insisted, I mean I came toe to toe with my con man consultant and unenthusiastic dentist until they backed down and agreed to single crowns and only the one necessary bridge. I was given some plastic temporary teeth to wear after my teeth were shaved down, which surprisingly was the least traumatic past for me. The plastic temps were damaged by my dentist on instal, causing them to have a shark 'hook' on the tip of a big tooth and some holes in the back. This caused me to have the huge ulcers and swelling all over my tongue and lips. My mouth was in bits for months and months recovering from the temp teeth when I got home to the UK. My dentist didn't seem to care at all that my mouth was so sore and that I couldn't eat properly for a week! I even fainted in my hotel room from lack of nutrition and sugar from not eating - and when I told my dentist, he couldn't have cared less. In fact this was still a problem when I got home until I was pretty much healed at about 3 months post surgery.
Instal day was a mess. Or shall I say night? Because I was the last one to leave the dental surgery at gone 9pm, along with my dentist). The first draft of crowns were too long for my mouth, so we had to send them back to the lab. Bear in mind this was at 4pm and I was flying home early AM the next day. I was worried to say the least. Finally I get a call around 7pm asking me to return and have the finals installed. Instal was traumatising and so painful. My denstist filled me up with so much local anesthetic thay I couldnt feel my lips for 2 weeks after I got home, and I swear that is not an exaggeration - I was terrified that he had damaged a nerve it was that bad. My dentist treated me like a RAG DOLL in his dentist chair - my jaw was pushed and pulled so hard to secure the improper crowns that I now suffer with excruciating jaw pain. One year later and I still have an incredible amount of jaw pain - it clicks all day long and is extremely misaligned.
My gums bleed terribly all day long despite religiously keeping up with the maintenance they suggest such as water flossing, mouth wash, regular dental check ups etc. And just this week (only 1 year later bearing in mind!) my canine crown has cracked. I supposedly have a 10 year warranty which is reassuring but, it's no good if the clinic ignore your messages is it. So I have emailed them a formal complaint, fingers crossed I hear something back or I'll be left no choice but to seek legal advice. My last note: the clinic ask you to sign an NDA before you leave. This means you cannot honestly review them publicly. I refused to sign this and you can too. Oh and they want you to leave a positive review on google before you've even walked out of the door! Absolutely appalling way to run a business Dr Gulay Akay

Mixed experience
I had my first consultation and treatment done in Antalya in July 2024. There were a lot of negative issues with this – mostly administrative to be honest but also what I saw as poor hygiene control practice and a lack of any effective aftercare.
The second visit was to the Nish clinic in Istanbul (I specifically asked not to go back to Antalya). The clinical side of things has been worlds better – the staff at the clinic have been fabulous – especially my ‘liaison’, doctor and nurse. There was a problem with the first lower crowns used but this was sorted out quickly. Aesthetically the new teeth look great. Mechanically they appear to be good although I am not an expert and I guess time will tell.
The big problem on the second visit was definitely the admin and particularly the transport planning. When I arrived, they insisted I confirm what flight I was on and then took 2 hours for the car to arrive for me once I was there. Twice when I was at the clinic it took over 1.5 hours for the car to come to take me back to the hotel. Each time, the clinic blame the Planning Team and the Planning Team say the clinic are organising it. I am typing my first draft of this review whilst still in Istanbul. I have one more day here and currently have no time for my final control appointment and no idea if they will be able to take me to the airport the following day at the time I requested. Having now returned home I can update this. It turned out my doctor was not there on my final day and no arrangements had been made for the final check THEY RECOMMENDED! I did have the check but only after a total failure of the Planning Team to do anything and me having to get my own Uber rather than the transfer they promise. Also to note, the airport transfer was a little late but ultimately not a particular problem.
I have raised my issues repeatedly and talked to a variety of people within Dentakay. At one point they characterised the problems as “unsubstantiated”.
Hopefully the new teeth will be worth it in the long run. I can’t detail all the issues in a relatively short review but because of them, I couldn’t positively recommend Dentakay in good conscience.

I attended the clinic and was dealt with in the most professional manner, the staff were friendly and attentive and nothing was to much trouble. I had to have additional work before I could get my full set of crowns but the staff explained everything and i really felt like i was in the best place. I cannot recommend this clinic highly enough and cannot wait to return in May to get my full set as I am over the moon with my temporary ones.

Проходили лечение в клинике Dentakay Nish в Стамбуле.Клиника надежная, современная с хорошим оборудованием.Сразу хочу сказать что претензий к врачам нету.Они профессионалы своего дела.Хочу поблагодарить доктора Yesim Ölçer за хорошо проделанную работу.У меня большие претензии к администрации клиники,к людям которые рассчитывают цену на лечение.Перед тем как ехать на лечение мы списывались с клиникой ,отсылали фотографии зубов и нам прислали три плана лечения(бюджетный,стандартный и премиум).Мы выбрали премиальный.По приезду мы прошли обследование и уже окончательна утвердился план лечения и сумма значительно возросла от договоренной ранее.Что вызвало у меня подозрения.Я попросил чтобы мне дали детализированную фактуру на лечение.улыбка сотрудника сразу сменилась на недовольство.Он начал куда то звонить совещаться и после сказал что фактуру дадут но после оплаты.Но потом под разными предлогами они нам отказывали то у них бухгалтер заболел,то принтер сломался итд.Первый этап лечения подходил к концу и фактуру нам так и не дали ,они сказали что вышлют нам на электронную почту.Конечно же на почту нам не кто не чего не собирался присылать,все наши просьбы выслать фактуру,они игнорировали.Но потом через три месяца нам пришло сообщение что у нас сменился консультант и мы его попросили чтобы он выслал фактуру и она нам высылала,наверно про нас забыли или консультант был не в курсе.Разница которую мы заплатили не соответствовало с сумой указаной в фактуре и составляла 815€.Когда мы приехали на второй визит мы подняли этот вопрос,он этого не ожидал,начал судорожно искать что-то в телефоне потом куда-то ушел. Когда пришел сказал что эта сумма за сервис она не указывается в фактуре.На наш вопрос за кокой сервис,он ответил что оплата за отель и трансфер.Тогда я ему говорю что отель и трансфер входит в стоимость лечения.Он сразу начал говорить что переводчик его не правильно поняла и это они занижают стоимость чтобы уходить от налогов.Мы попросили показать прайс лист и позвать управляющего.Он сказал что прайс листа и управляющего клиники тоже нету и не будет и телефона у него тоже нету.Потом он ушел какое-то время отсутствовал,привел какого-то сотрудника и уже тот поставил ультиматум или мы доплачиваем необходимую сумму или они прекращают лечение.Нам нечего не оставалась как оплатить,так как лечение подходило к концу.Уже потом сидя в фойе мы общались с другими пациентами и у всех по приезду цена возросла многократно.В основном две причины поменялся план или когда вы летели у них поднялась цена.Администрация клиники поставила обман клиентов на поток,сначала они заманивают приемлемой ценой,а когда вы приезжаете цена поднимается многократно и может доходить до нескольких тысяч.Я думаю что это во всех клиниках Турции такая практика.

Hi there,
I've been treated as a patient in Turkey (Dentakay)for zygomatic implant , because I've been told I have no enough bone on top of my gums Dr. decided the only treatment available in my case was ZYGOMATIC ,the treatment which cost me big money I never knew this kind of treatment may costs less in UK , Dentakay the Package was included hotel and one way flight, Dentakay clinic the hospitality is fantastic very polite people from airport to the end, but I suggest people suffering with no enough bone you ,my experience with Zygomatic in Dentakay wasn't excellent after the surgery my facial features changed I didn't know could be no enough experience the Dr.who did the surgeon and I have lost 30%of sense on my left face scratches I've xplained what i suffering the explained Dr. i wasn't convinced,
I can give my experience in Dentakay wasn't excellent.

From the moment I arrived everyone was so welcoming and kind the team really goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable.
They explained me everything clearly, and detailed treatment plan was acknowledged by me. I’m so happy with the results and honestly wish I had come here sooner. If you’re looking for a place where they treat you like family while giving amazing care dentakay is the one I recommend

I don’t even know where to begin
I don’t even know where to begin, how to start when describing the horror movie-like experience , the nightmare I’ve been living through thanks to Dentakay. The only word that comes to mind to sum up my entire Dentakay experience and what I’ve gone through over the past two years is simply 'tragedy.' Based on my own experience within these past 2 years, I’ve come to understand why Turkey has fallen behind in health tourism in recent years.
On the evening of December 31, 2023, after having flied from 2,700 km I underwent the treatment for 27 zirconium crowns, hoping to start 2024 with a positive story. As of today, exactly 22 months have passed. All of my communications with Dentakay, as well as the visual evidence, pictures , proofs I provided them, are well-documented.
It took just 10 days—on the morning of January 10—for me to wake up with two broken teeth in the front lower jaw. In July 2023, the other side of the lower jaw also broke. As a result, a correction was performed on the lower teeth in July 2023. Just when I thought the nightmare was over, another tooth was damaged while I was simply eating bread and on July 25, 2024 half of the tooth was filed down and treated.
Additionally, a crack occurred in the back upper tooth, which was also treated by Dr. A.O on July 25, 2024. ( By the way he was the only impressing experience during the whole process with his perfection and behaviour )
The worst part is that two more teeth in the upper front jaw (the most visible part for a person’s smile) developed major cracks. I have documented all of these experiences, including every WhatsApp message, the five dentist visits I had to make in the Netherlands, and all the photos.
Finally, in July, after four upper front teeth were removed and replaced with new crowns, I returned home to the Netherlands. ( 2 obligatory visits to Istanbul within only 18 months at that time )
I want to stress that despite following a regular care routine, using a night guard, and being mindful of what I eat, just three days ago, the bridge and two supporting teeth in the lower right back jaw shattered into five pieces while I was having dinner at home with my family and children. Today, I visited my dentist in the Netherlands, who confirmed that the pressure on the bridge caused all three teeth to break.
To summarize, in the past 22 months, I’ve had to return to the clinic twice, attending a total of six sessions at Dentakat . I’ve also had to visit my dentist here in the Netherlands five times, incurring extra expenses each time.
My advice to all patients is to be extremely cautious. Reconsider your decision carefully to avoid problems after treatment. Unfortunately, I can’t share the screenshots of my communications with the clinic or the photos of my ruined teeth on this platform. However, if anyone is interested, you can contact me.

My Experience with Dentakay
I want to share my experience to help others make a more informed decision about visiting Dentakay.
The first 12 hours were chaotic. There was no timely communication about my arrival details despite several inquiries. After wandering the airport and struggling to connect to Wi-Fi, I reached the hotel at 3 a.m., only to find my booking was missing. After confusion between Dentakay and the hotel staff, my booking was eventually sorted out in the morning.
IT felt disorganized from the start. Appointment details were unclear, multiple conflicting messages. These small errors combined left me feeling uneasy, and I even considered leaving. I was stressed by the lack of communication and worried if I should trust for treatment.
Clinic itself is busy with numerous teams handling different tasks, which resulted frequently miscommunication I barely got any information about procedures, aftercare, or even session timelines. During my initial consultation, which I was told would be an hour, I ended up staying for seven hours without clear guidance on what was happening.

My Consultant was the most hopeless contact of this whole journey I’m not lying!
He started really lovely answering my questions until the deposit was made, I had to chase for hotel information, how it works when I arrive the lot. It felt like messaging your younger sibling who was annoyed by you.
Also before putting a deposit down, I questioned if he could share insight as a lot of feedback was posted that when people got there the price increased and I will copy his exact words from his message
“Yes your treatment is clear and I update your treatment plan from the xray the proce won't change. I know your situation about the the finance Yiu know it's not fair to only look at the few bad reviews I can give you number of my patients who did the treatment just last week and they are super happy with the results”
After this message I actually felt bad even asking him this about the feedback.
But yup you guessed it, this exact man sat me down after my consultation and gave me increased prices…… honestly the shock I had. .
In my Consultation my ‘consultant’ also asked me If I could extend my trip, mind you when we first sat he asked me “when do you fly out” ? Hebooked my flights!
We discussed and I said I could make it work if needed but I needed to know Asap so I could rearrange work. Now the last I heard was will we need to change it from Tuesday to Wednesday departure, this was a Thursday so come Saturday afternoon not a single word. I messaged my consultant Saturday night when leaving, he responded I’ll find out
Not a single word again. Come Monday 11.00 am and I received a message from the Scheduling team for my airport pick up as I was meant to be leaving in less then 24 hours as originally planned.
The only reason I checked this with my consultant was how unorganised already. So I messaged him asking if this was accurate pick up.
All I got back from him was a picture of new flight time leaving the following day. No message nothing just the picture. I message this information to the scheduling team, to ensure they were updated.Before arriving for my appointment I requested to my consultant if he could pre send me he Response, I’ll request it for you.
Nope didn’t get it and when I arrived straight to payment and I guess you guys already know the payment had gone up! There was no formal breakdown just his writing on a piece of paper. A NEW piece not even the breakdown we went through in my consultation
When we originally went over the new proposal from my consultant he wrote everything out but I assumed it was because we were discussing.
So here the part that blows my mind. There was about £300-400 took my deposit out. He said it’s not included so not only did I get scammed into pay more he also robbed me of my deposit.
When I tell you I questioned him he said no Aimee I told
You this, but what evidence did I have it was all handwritten BY HIM, mind you the new handwritten cost breakdown we were using wasn’t even the original we discussed so I had nothing, and what am I going to do refuse, I have temporary teeth in.The breakdown made no sense what had been discussed originally gone, he made his own.
I felt my consultant gaslight me on every interaction and took advantage of my vulnerable situation, he never actioned any of my request, I had to chase for updates and information . I shared with him in my first consultation when he told me hey the price is more, hey you need to stay longer oh and hey you actually going to go into your first appointment 4 hour shaving treatment at 3.30 pm with no warning
Definitely get your teeth done. Would I recommend Dentakay, No.
My Consultant has left a really bitter experience, with manipulation and lying.

BOTCHED WORK, ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY
TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE
Do not use dentakay. I had a very simple extraction and crown. I went with Dentakay because they were cheaper. 5 months later I ended up having to have emergency surgery back home in London to correct their botched job - a simple crown installation!!
The people who perform the procedures aren't dentists - usually dentists in training. They are extremely over worked and probably not paid very well. The whole company is a massive scam
AVOID DENTAKAY AT ALL COSTS.
If anything goes wrong they will absolutely gaslight you and tell you 'it just needs more time" or "that's how it's supposed to be". Save yourself the damage to your mouth and go with someone else. I ended up having to pay for additional dental work in my country to correct their botched work. It's not worth it
****UDPATE:***
It is simply not true as they purport that Dentakay only uses qualified dentists. The unsupervised "qualified dentist" that fitted my crown confirmed she was "almost finished" studying ' NOT qualified. Having to tell a "qualified dentist" that the implant they just fitted is misaligned where 1 side is too tight to allow floss in and the other side is big enough to allow a toothpick is clearlt not a conversation tou would need to have with a professional - even an unqualified person with basic common sense would know this. After i insisted that it was too tight against my canine tooth and refused to leave she filed down one side of the crown to make more space, but of course this didnt correct the misalignment on the other side. She then tried to add resin to the other side of the tooth to close the gap! This of course dropped off before i even left turkey - a complete shambles. When I got the emergency dental work done back in london, I was informed that I had some bone reabsorption because of their poor technique. A "qualified dentist" would have used a bone graft to prevent this - simply adding calcium powder into the extraction hole would have prevented this, but they completely skipped over this important step. Its now too late to reverse this.
Dentakay reached out and asked me to send the dentist receipt for my emergency treatment, which i did. They then proceeded to offer me £300 if I removed my review - I paid almost £2k for the emergency dental work (after already paying to be botched by Dentakay in Turkey). Of course, I declined!
Dentakay will hound you to leave a positive trustpilot or Facebook review before you leave the building - reviews is all they care about. Their prices may be better than what we pay in london/ the States, but their quality is on the floor... Have some respect for your health and avoid at all costs.

bonjour À tous, attention grosse arnaque,une boucherie vous êtes un numéro devis $$ a peine arrivé + 30%$$$ VOUS AVAIS pas le choix vous êtes devant des commerciaux a l'affut des qui vous prenne l'argent plus de garantie plus de contactes a par pour les RDV a la chaînes a leur clinique jamais a l'heure pour une visite de 1H VOUS PASSER LA JOURNÉE très décus service après vente inexistant bilans deux implant qui non pas tenues plus deux bridge cassé refait au final la veille du départ mi en deux partie pas centré jais demander a prolonge pour un contrôle il on refuser et ce avec tout les problèmes rencontrer a fuir !!!!
