As specified on our shipping advice page ( https://www.dentalsky.com/shipping-and-returns ) we operate a traffic light system for stock availability statuses as follows:
GREEN - IN STOCK - The item is in stock in our warehouse and will ordinarily be dispatched to you either on the same day or on the next working day for evening or weekend orders.
AMBER - AVAILABLE TO ORDER - The item is not currently physically in stock but it is on order with the manufacturer. We are expecting it soon so it is available for you to backorder - Generally this means delivery to customers within 5-10 working days although this can vary - Backordered items do not incur any additional shipping costs and will automatically be dispatched to you as soon as they arrive with us. You can call 0800 294 4700, email us on sales@dentalsky.com or use our website's live chat feature for more precise information on the expected date of delivery.
RED - OUT OF STOCK - The item is not currently physically in stock in our warehouse and the manufacturer has not confirmed a likely delivery date so we're not accepting orders for it at the moment.
We can see that this item was showing as amber/orange 'available to order' meaning it is available for you to order but will be placed onto a temporary back order whilst we wait for the stock to arrive in our warehouse.
All items with this amber/orange 'available to order' status trigger a large notification box to pop-up at the cart stage before checkout stating the following:
"We don't have the full quantity you requested, but we'll back order the remaining 1 which will be sent as soon as we have it in stock - Usually within 5-10 working days."
We've just double checked this and that notification is running correctly, you are welcome to verify this yourself by adding the product and progressing to the cart stage where you will see that prominently displayed.
We can also see that an order confirmation email was sent to you on the day you placed your order stating:
"Please note, any items not in stock at the time you placed your order will be backordered and sent on to you as soon as we receive them, this is usually with 5-10 working days but timescales can vary.
If you would like to check on items on backorder or have any other questions about your order, you can email us at helpdesk@dentalsky.com."
We can see that you have not left a contact number on your account so a member of our Customer Support Team is reaching out to you via email with further details of when the stock is due to arrive or whether you would like to choose an alternative product.

You are doing very well
You are doing very well! You dispatched the product promptly and the Optim Interdental Brushes that I ordered are far better than any that I could buy in places like Boots or Superdrug. Your courier is doing a little less well! First they delayed the delivery by 24 hours, but they advised me, so that was fine. The following day they gave me a one-hour time window for the delivery. They delivered my package within that window but simply left it outside the door of my flat, having made no attempt to obtain a signature.

This company is very efficient and easy to communicate with.
This company has excellent communication ability and was able to change my preferred day of delivery by DPD very easily. My order was expedited efficiently and received the goods at the beginning of the delivery window.
My only gripe, though slight, is that one has to be in to accept the goods. A slight inconvenience but may be something to do with the nature of the type of goods supplied.
