We needed assistance changing venues for my son's wedding due to Hurricane Melissa. We needed to adjust our guest list, add/ cancel/ and rearrange some rooms, as well as apply for the "Price Match" when available. Helen, our Destify Guest Experience Representative, quickly put our minds at ease. Helen was knowledgeable, responsive, professional and most importantly patient as we navigated getting everyone resettled. 10 Stars...

My experience with Destify has been great. I ran into a snag while booking and Helen was very accommodating and helpful assisting me with booking my stay.

Although we didn't actually choose to go with Destify and decided to stay close to home for our big day, we found the team professional, engaging, and the process simple. Thank you, Destify.

As an invited guest to a destination wedding, I wish I could give Destify 0 stars. The cancellation policy is a non-refundable deposit and that is even if plans have changed for the wedding location. I reached out to them prior to booking asking if they would let me know abouthow I could request 2 double beds because I could not select on the site. After sending a message, Destify said I needed to have a booking number for them to take care of the room request type. That was not true, they offered adding a note to the account but no guarantee of the type of room although one representative said 90% of the time the requested room type is honored. In addition to the room request type, I found out the wedding is being moved to a different venue/location and no, the deposit is non-refundable. I should have gone with my first thought and not trust this business with a non-refundable policy such as this. Lesson learned, Destify is not a company I would recommend in good conscious to anyone, wedding party, guest, or otherwise.

Once we signed up for Destify who was incredibly responsive in the beginning, all of the people assigned to our wedding went radio silent. The website it very flawed. The RSVP counts and booking nights were never correct. I truly regret using them. It would have been easier and cleaner to just deal with the resort directly. ZERO benefits to using them.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would give a ZERO! My recommendation from a guest perspective, DO NOT USE. Sadly, the bride & groom have to hear all of the poor experiences from not just myself, but other guests as well. When a compnay is hired to help manage a destination wedding, it is supposed to be a stress free experience for the happy couple so they can focus on their wedding. This was not the case. The Destify "personalized" expereince was no where to be found. Every time I interacted with them via phone or email all they could say was "our rules are..." or "our policy is..." and in fact, when I expressed how unsatified I was, what a terrible experience it had been, the supervisor responded "thank you for the feedback!" All they seem to care about is taking your money... and believe me, once they have it, there is nothing you can do. And quite frankly, I think I could have gotten a better deal without going through them. Horrible customer service, none in fact, they could not have cared any less about working with the guests. I do NOT recommend and I hope anyone considering using them finds every review I leave on multiple platforms, because they were that bad! People are human and sometimes life happens. All I needed was to move the arrival date & departure date. I didn't ask for any refund or money back, only a change in schedule, of which the airline could certainly accommdate. In fact, the hotel would gladly accommodate, however they had to hear from this awful compnay to do it for me since I booked through them. Of course Destify WOULD NOT make any changes or contact the hotel. I lost thousdands, and worse, those individuals had to miss the entire celebration weekend. It put a damper on the entire experience for everyone, including the bride & groom. Save yourself the heartache and do NOT use this company.

Just like everyone else is saying, BEWARE. They refused to modify although there was death in the immediate family. We still tried to make the trip but came a day later. It took hours for us to get checked in because they are disorganized and it wasn't our initial check in date. It wasted our 2nd day. Shame on them.

Please don't use this service--the are a scam for sure. Once you're booked, they have really awkward policies that prevent changes within dates that aren't listed anywhere until you make the request. Then it's in some deeply linked terms and conditions. Here's a list of things we thought to reach out to them for help with that we were told they can't help with:

1. Airport transfers
2. Extending/Modifying Travel Dates
3. Changing the name of a person staying in a hotel room
4. Finding an alternative hotel nearby (this one wasn't a high priority)
5. Cancellations

Absolutely nothing good came from booking through this company just a bunch of headache. In case you're wondering, once they book on your behalf it blocks you from taking control of your own reservation with the hotel. The hotel said that they were our travel agent and they way we were booked prevented them from editing our reservations on their end even though the hotel does allow these types of changes to be made.

I cannot scream it loud enough - do NOT use Destify for your wedding. I found Destify via a Google search and thought they would make the overwhelming process of planning a destination wedding easier. I was very wrong. I was paired with an agent to book my destination wedding and she worked with me to lock in a date. She was kind and helpful, and I was at ease with my decision to work with them. However, things quickly went downhill when my account was transferred over to the Client Success team.  The team replies to all inquiries from a script, none of which are actually helpful. My resort increased the minimum stay requirement from 3 nights to 6 nights, and Destify never bothered to inform me of this change. I was made aware by my guests when they were attempting to book their rooms using the destify site, which clearly stated 3 night minimum. I reached out to Destify about this, and they told me there was nothing they could do, and then updated my wedding website to state the 6 night minimum. In addition, booking rooms through Destify was more expensive for our guests, as our resort has a free loyalty program that discounts all bookings by 10%, which Destify will not honor. Destify also requires that guests pay a non-refundable deposit, and claims a benefit of booking with them is they offer convenient payment plans. However, the resort required no money up front and offered free cancellation up until 7 days prior to arrival. I was lucky to realize how awful Destify was early on in my wedding planning and ended up firing them, switching resorts and re-planning my entire wedding. It was the best decision I could have made.

I would not recommend going through this company when planning a destination wedding. The planning started off great - great rates, great deals, money back when people book. We submitted our non-refundable deposit and were booked into a hotel IN THE WRONG COUNTRY. It took days to get this fixed, and once the location was fixed, it took 3 weeks to get the spelling of my fiancé's name corrected on the wedding website. We were wanting 2 different sides of the same resort (one family friendly and one adults only) and asked to add to the site to allow easy booking for our family and friends only for them to add a resort IN A DIFFERENT COUNTRY again. We will not be using them and will not be getting our refund back even though it is the employees of Destify who messed up and kept booking the stay in the wrong counties. I would not recommend unless you want even more stress and chaos in your life. Now they won't refund our wrong room that was booked, we are taking a loss and booking straight through the hotel.

Horrible! They wouldn't price match the resort, even when booking through the resort would have been $600 cheaper. They told us that if we booked our wedding through Destify, we'd each get a $100 spa credit and we'd all be together at the resort. Wrong! None of us were near each other, and the resort spa credit never made it to any of the guests. They are very slow to respond and honestly, it's easier and cheaper to book directly through the resort because Destify didn't deliver on anything they promised.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Customer service was horribly insensitive. They don’t help you and making modifications is a horror. I will advise all of my friends & family to avoid this company for their wedding planning at all costs.

Do not waste your time.

Be careful with these people. We booked them for my daughter's wedding in Mexico and we had the worst experience. From inflated prices to poor customer service, everything was bad. We had 70 people in our party, almost everyone booked the transfer to and from the airport with them. For majority of the people, no one showed up at the airport. They charged everyone $90 for the ride when the cab was only $15. And guess what, they also arranged for the same taxis that we could get on our own. Customer service was terrible. No one picks up the phone, they only communicate via emails when there is a problem.

Horrible customer service and horrible company. Do not waste your precious time or money with these people, they simply do not care about the people they serve. We have had the worst experience with Destify as well as our guests. Destify gave away our original wedding date without any explanation, just a half assed apology. Their customer service is completely horrible. Do yourself a favor and work directly with the hotel, Destify is BS and you honestly don't need them, we didn't. They also lack accountability for their many mistakes and every response was blaming the hotel which we had a wonderful experience with our hotel. Don't get scammed by this company.

This company does a good job on the front end but once they have you locked in they are not willing to accommodate your needs and simply say, "we can't help you". This happened to us multiple times with this agency and I would NOT RECOMMEND using them unless you like being disappointed.

Resort decided to close on the day we book our wedding and room, and yet Destify refuse to refund our deposit, finding excuse to keep our deposit.

Stay way from their deceptive shady business practice

Would not recommend this. Locked in at a higher price than booking from the resort. Strict cancellation policies and very cookie cutter responses from customer service when you need help.

Save yourself the headache and stress that I have endured. It's not worth it.

Destify is a sham of a company. Very terrible customer service and stringent booking policies. They made my guests over pay for their three night stay $1000 over the rate provided directly through the hotel. There is absolutely no reason to work with destify.
