Dometic have since replied to my review trying to place the blame on me for not taking the faulty fridge back to their service center in Tewkesbury to be repaired again.
The fault still remains in their lap, because they went down the path of trying to repair a 13 month old fridge instead of replacing it with a new one.
Now they are trying to blame me, saying it is now out of warranty after having 3 replacement innards fitted.
This company is a joke, as I said before customers loyalty is not in their dictionary.
This fridge will probably end up in a skip where it should have been 4 years ago.

Complete failure of Product Quality/Warranty/ Customer service

I purchased an RV with a dometic refrigerator /freezer last year. 6 months later the unit completely stopped working, and leaked coolant all over. not to mention all of the food that was lost. So now 2 month, $300 and two technicians later the refrigerator still does not work and I was given a quote of $1,800 plus labor to have it fixed. So I called dometic customer service regarding any warranty, Only to find out that because I am the second owner there is no warranty, My RV is a 2022 and this refrigeration unit was only 3 years old, the unit retails for approximately $8,000, for starters that is a completely insane price, (I could purchase multiple touch screen top of the line home refrigeration units for that) I just can't imagine a company that cares so little about their reputation that they would sell an $8,000 refrigerator that quits working after 3 years and they offer no warranty service/ replacement or anything,
the person I spoke with on the phone? Lacked any sincere feeling or care, as she told me to start The process of figuring out what would be more cost effective, to just purchase a new refrigerator or have this one fixed for $1,800 plus labor, well I tell you what I won't be doing. I won't be purchasing another dometic refrigerator ever! And realistically why would I spend what will inevitably be approximately $2,500 to fix a refrigerator that will most likely just quit working again in the not so distant future!Every other appliance in my unit is still covered under warranty Even though I am not the original owner. It shouldn't matter how many owners there have been, if You are going to sell a refrigeration unit as top of the line. Then you should probably offer top of the line service with it. Completely disgusted!

Sehr schlechte Qualität

Nach weniger als 3 Jahren blühen die Einlegegitter im Kühlschrank auf, eines davon zeigt Rostbefall. Der Kühlschrank wurde für fünf Urlaube genutzt, nach Benutzung gereinigt und der Kühlschrank mit offener Tür stehen gelassen. Dometic lehnt eine Kulanzregelung ab, bietet aber neue Gitter für ca. 45,00€ pro Gitter an.
Wie kann eine so renommierte Firma so eine schlechte Qualität verbauen? Eine einzige Katastrophe!

Es tut uns leid zu hören, dass du mit den von dir genutzten Stühlen unzufrieden bist.

Nach unserem bisherigen Austausch möchten wir jedoch darauf hinweisen, dass die betreffenden Front Runner Expander Stühle nicht direkt über uns, sondern über eine andere Plattform erworben wurden. Für die Bearbeitung einer Reklamation ist in solchen Fällen ein entsprechender Kaufnachweis erforderlich.

Wir hatten dich bereits gebeten, uns eine Rechnung oder einen vergleichbaren Nachweis zukommen zu lassen, damit wir den Vorgang prüfen und dir eine mögliche Lösung anbieten können. Leider haben wir diesen Nachweis bislang nicht erhalten.

Bitte habe Verständnis dafür, dass wir ohne entsprechenden Beleg keine Garantie- oder Gewährleistungsansprüche prüfen oder bearbeiten können.

Several faults with 10 series fridge from door unhinging ( not advised to store items in door while moving!)only one storage basket supplied speaks for itself . Intermittent switching itself off. Freezing items in base baskets. Circuit board replacement . Control panel replaced without Auto setting .Unable to power up to any fuel source etc etc at begining of season.2 year old caravan ,requested replacement fridge .Rejected without examination by Dometic. Poor instruction documentation. Missed 2 weeks easter bookings and lost deposits.

Burst tube

I have a Dometic air awning, unfortunately one of the tubes blew, Garry Pain at Dometic Customer Service was excellent, located a replacement tube in Germany and had it shipped over , delivery is Friday. Thank you Garry Disappointing that the tube blew on a 3 year old awning but that's not Garry's fault.

Dometic fridge freezers will drive you mad…

Never buy a caravan or camper if it has a domestic fridge freezer. It will drive you insane. Total rubbish. You can't even walk past it without it beeping an error code. Manufacturers should stop using this rubbish.

Dometic CFX90 Fridge/Freezer

Since new, our Dometic CFX90 Fridge has been faulty. Each time we go to use the unit, an error occurs 'Warning 03'. We report the problem to Dometic each time, and they ask us to take the unit to a repairer. Each time the unit comes back working, but it fails again the next time we go to use it. After six failures, the unit should have been replaced. Today, the unit has the same error just as we are about to leave on an Easter trip. I would not recommend a Dometic Fridge.

Dometic caravan fridge saga

I bought a coachman acadia 545 with a dometic rm 10 fridge, 13 month later the freezer compartment stopped working, contacted coachman, not our problem, warranty was with dometic not coachman, contacted dometic they said the same, warranty was with coachman not them, after much aggravation dometic finally relented and told me to take the caravan to the dealership where I bought it leasureworld in york, (200 miles round trip) they would fix it, 3 weeks later, rang them to be told nothing had been done, rang leasureworld in catterick ( their head office) they said they would collect the van from york and take it to catterick and do the warranty work in their workshop.
3 month later rang them, they had not touched it and had no intention of doing so because they would not be payed to do it, rang dometic again and they agreed to send a new innards for the fridge to my service engineer in stockport.
This they did and the new part was fitted in February 2023 ( van is now 19 months old) the fridge never worked properly after that.
Rang dometic again, they then told me to take the van to their service centre in tewksbury Worcestershire for a diagnosis, this I did, (a round trip of 275 miles) to. Be told the new innards were faulty and would need to be replaced, they put one on order and expect a delivery in about 6 weeks.
Got a call to say the new innards had arrived and a date booked to have it fitted in tewsbury, so off to tewksbury I go again ( 275 mile round trip).
1st trip out, bought some frozen food, put it in the freezer compartment and guess what? Yes it defrosted overnight with the setting on full.
The caravan is now 4 and a half years old only used a maximum of 10 outings and a fridge that is really an expensive paper weight.
I have now got to replace the fridge at my own expense, but it will not be a dometic.

No Replacement for manufacturing defects.

Company does not cover manufacturing defects. Any type of defects or issues they tell you SOL. Will not work with customers for replacements. Worst company ever.

Dometic sells faulty products

Dometic replied to my review, confirming that they could not care less!!! Disgraceful company!!!
I have the misfortune of owning a Dometic 3 way refrigerator. A very expensive appliance, but unfortunately it is never working due to a design fault. The electronic PCB board located between the fridge and freezer door keeps failing (already 3 failed PCBs) due to condensation and moisture ingress in the electronics. It is already the 3rd time it fails. Always for the same reason. And what's worse is that Dometic seeks to profiteer from this design fault and has sealed the PCB so it cannot be repaired. And it sells the replacement PCB at the exorbitant price of over $500AUD. Make no mistake, this is a company that doesn't care about its customers. AVOID BUYING DOMETIC PRODUCTS

So Dometic just replied to say
"Dear Customer,
thank you for your feedback and we are sorry for the bad experience.
Kind regards,
Petra
Dometic Customer Service"
That is the same as saying that you could not care less, which is the consistent message received from Dometic Customer Service.
No wonder Dometic's sales are down. When you sell faulty products and you treat customers like that, your business can only go bad.

Dometickühlschrank in Knaus-Wohmobil.

Wir haben einen nietnagelneues Knaus Wohnmobil mit einem Dometickühlschrank gekauft. Leider konnten wir die Kühlschranktür nur auf einer Seite öffnen. Beim versuch die Kühlschranktür auf der anderen Seite zu öffnen fiel die Kühlschranktür aus der Halterung. Reparaturversuche blieben leider erfolglos.

dometic , the new owner of baystar and seastar hydraulic steering systems , used to be teleflex which was a good company to deal with , 300 hrs on a baystar steering helm and it has become unusable do to internal issues , 100% caused by manufacturer , then they give me this guy bruce loony that does nothing but come up with question after question to the tune of 10 e mails still nothing done about it , do this do that send pictures cuz we don't believe you its like dealing with a 4 yr old , dropping this shit company (dometic) I run a very busy marine repair /service shop , I refuse to ever deal with these clowns again , even the retailer has said dometic is TERRIBLE , don't walk RUN away from doing business with dometic , any future biz will be directed elsewhere

Dometic nur leere Versprechen. Produkt zum Preis kein bisschen angemessen!

Ich habe den Dometic CFF45 Kompressorkühlschrank mittlerweile zweimal bestellt – beide Geräte zeigten dasselbe Problem: Ein deutlich hörbares, lautes und durchgendes Klackgeräusch während des Betriebs.

Nach Rücksprache mit dem Support erhielt ich lediglich die Information, dass man den Fehler nicht nachvollziehen könne. Auf meine eigene Messung mit einem Dezibelmesser in einem gedämmten Proberaum wurde nur geantwortet, dass meine Werte nicht „unter Laborbedingungen“ erhoben seien. Damit gibt der Hersteller indirekt zu, dass die angegebenen Geräuschpegel unter realen Wohn- oder Freizeitbedingungen kaum erreichbar sind – eine für den Kunden irreführende Aussage.

Zusätzlich wurde mein Hinweis, dass bereits der zweite Kühlschrank die gleichen Mängel aufweist, vom Support komplett ignoriert. Statt einer Lösung bekam ich nur die lapidare Aufforderung, mich selbst darum zu kümmern. Insgesamt ein enttäuschender Kundenservice und kein Produkt, das meine Erwartungen an Qualität und Zuverlässigkeit erfüllt.
