Dometic Marine air conditioners are garbage

Dometic Marine air conditioners are garbage. I have a Jeanneau 51 that is 6 years old, 2 units have needed a charge and 1 needed to be replaced. The replacement one was garbage and needed to be replaced. Manufacturers need to stop installing this garbage. I will never buy a new boat with this crappy ac system. Dometic, I want to be very clear your product is garbage and you should go out of business or at least fire your CEO for building and selling garbage

Wir hatten ein kleines Problem mit unserer Mobicool Kühlbox bzw. dem Anschluss für den Zigarettenanzünder. Das Ersatzteil wurde sehr schnell, unbürokratisch und kostengünstig zur Verfügung gestellt. Der Service war sehr freundlich. Selbst bei kritischer Betrachtung können wir uns nur sehr lobend äußern, vielen Dank.

bought a new forest river rv with a…

bought a new forest river rv with a dometic double door refer. Has never worked right. Been into camping world and has had numerous mobile repair people try to fix. Some problems: would not switch from gas to electric, not cooling, burns gas but won't cool, uses electricity but won't cool. Will not cool. Techs can't fix. I've had this rv 3 years. Nobody can or will fix.

Ich würde gerne einen Minusstern abgeben, so etwas kundenunfreundliches habe ich lange nicht mehr erlebt, es wir jegliche Anfrage abgewiegelt und mit pdf Files versehen. Sie bestimmen und nehmen sich keines Problems an das kann man leider nur tun wenn man in bestimmten Bereichen das Monopol hat

Asked for spares. They gave me me no links or offer a solution, just told me they don't sell to private buyers.

I have a Dometic cooler which was expensive but works really good,
But now the bungee latches are getting weak, so I wanted a replacement. A shop in Denmark told me they were sold out and not delivered anymore by Dometic.

When contacting Dometic in Denmark, they just told me to find another dealer, which google couldn't find. They gave me no links or offer a solution, just told me they don't sell to private buyers.

EDIT 2024-05-31: I don't care about a dealer near me, I just want a link within the EU or someone at Dometic put 2 in an envelope, as a courtesy.
And I don't want to click 7 times and guess if this a marine thing or other and then don't find any dealer anyway

Top Kundenservice beim Werksverkauf

Top Kundenservice beim Werksverkauf. Ich habe versehentlich mehrere teure Kompressorkühlboxen bestellt ( IT Problem ) und Probleme mit der Kartenbezahlung gehabt . Wurde am nachsten Tag angeschrieben und konnte dann direkt mit dem sehr freundlichen Herrn telefonieren. Es wurde alles tipptopp geklärt… Ich habe jetzt 1 Box und auch nur 1 bezahlt 😁

Cheap plastics used in roof of awning

Purchased the Dometic Rally Air Pro 260 (s) awning in May 2022, awning has been up for a few weeks at a time through the two years April - September (4 weeks x 2 being the longest in Summer) awning not yet 2 years old and the top skylight plastic has gone brittle, April 2024 whilst cleaning a bit of condensation inside the top skylight plastic my fingers went straight through, I had to patch with duck tape as all I had to stop rain coming in until I could patch the outside as best I can. On inspection I've now got 4 parts on one side where it's gone brittle, the two front resin panels also go milky when cold so you cannot see through them once they warm up in hot weather it's fine but this looks like a manufactured problem, it's probably out of warranty as it's the plastic but for the hefty price it's not worth it, why put this plastic in the top makes no sense.
Not Happy at all will now have to try and patch up plastic, would not recommend this awning at all

Alles Bestens!!

Der Telefonkontakt verlief sehr schnell und nach einem sympathischen Gespräch / Beratung wurde seitens Dometic sofort reagiert und der Versand auf den Weg gebracht. Nach zwei Tagen kam prompt die Bestellung und es war alles ok. Der Kundendienst ist sehr empfehlenswert. Herzlichen Dank

Marine fridge International company my ass

When I purchased my Marine fridge it came with a warranty and also mentioned that this company is an international company. No where on the warranty did it mention that if I left the country the warranty would end. I am on a dam boat of course I am going to travel. What do Geographic's have to do with fridge parts. I was talked and walked around in circles. I ended up finding out that the control was faulty after less than a year and asked them to ship it to an address that I could use to forward the faulty part to me and I would do the labor myself they still refused.

Dometic complications

I've always had fiamma awning but on my latest MH I was persuader to purchase a domestic awning. What a regret. it is complicated to deployed and even worse to fold away. I would never buy another domestic.

laaaange Bearbeitungszeit

11 Monate alten defekten Solarregler eingeschickt. Nach 5 !! Wochen und zwei email Nachfragen ohne Antwort und etlichen telefonischen Versuchen endlich den Sachbearbeiter wieder erreicht.
Auskunft: "Ja, natürlich ist der Regler bei uns eingegangen und geht HEUTE !! in die Werkstatt".
Weitere zwei Wochen später habe ich dann aufgegeben und mir von einer anderen Firma einen neuen Regler gekauft.
Die Produkte sind schon (ohne bluetooth Abfrage) eher rückständig, aber der Kundenservice ist grausam.
Wir hätten vorgewarnt sein müssen, da wir mit unserem Kühlschrank einen ähnlichen Service "genießen" durften.
Auf der Homepage von Dometic heisst es zum Kundendienst wörtlich: "Der Dometic Kundendienst:
Dometic versucht anders als Branchenüblich den direkten Kontakt zum Endkunden zu vermeiden".
Ich würde sagen: ZIEL ERREICHT!
Aktualisierung: Heute 22. Mai (10 Wochen) kam ohne weiteren Kommentar ein anderer offensichtlich gebrauchter Regler an!

Katastrophaler Kundenservice!
Wir haben eine Kompressorkühlbox gekauft - die wir direkt am Ankunftstag wieder zurücksenden wollten. Bei Dometic Deutschland sagte man, Ungarn sei zuständig. Eine Durchwahl gebe es nicht, aber eine Mailadresse. Die Mailadresse war fehlerhaft... Also haben wir über das Rücksendeformular gearbeitet. Katastrophe. Das Teil steht seit nun ca. zwei Wochen auf einer Europalette in unserem Flur... UPS ging unverrichteter Dinge wieder, weil Dometic die Größe und das Gewicht der Lieferung nicht mitgeteilt und der Herr nicht passend ausgestattet war. Einziger Kommentar von Dometic: wir sollen uns selbst mit UPS in Verbindung setzen wegen der Abholung und dem Rückversand.
Kann ich wirklich niemandem empfehlen, selbst wenn das Produkt an sich vielleicht gut ist.

Great products but customer service terrible.

Great products but customer service and installation quality are terrible. Avoid their show offers too. They all come tumbling down on delivery - or lack of!
**update to Dometic reply (below): I don't want to get into an online agreement but: There was nothing on the van roof at all - it was just a delivery van - but your exhibition sales team specified the wrong solar panels, wrong awning, wrong spec inverter, roof window that was no longer available and more. Your installation guys tried to make good with what they had in stock but the rest of the sales and customer service team were woeful. Shame, as good products have been let down by poor support.

Dometic, Ersatzteile und Kundenservice

An meinem heki fehlten klammern für das Insektennetz. Habe die nirgends bekommen und dometic angeschrieben. Hat sich zwar ein wenig hingezogen und es gab eine falsche Lieferung. Aber nach nochmaliger Email habe ich zwei Tage später das Ersatzteil in. Ausreichender Menge kostenlos zugesendet bekommen.

Daher finde ich, dometic hat, wenn man den richtigen Ansprechpartner hat, einen tollen Kundendienst.

Let down by ups

Dometic seem ok, a bit slow to respond to emails, but their use of UPS for deliveries lets them down.
Still awaiting one of two parcels after 2 weeks ..just sitting in their depot for 7 days zzzzz
* Update
Well after 3 weeks the 2nd parcel eventually arrived.
It's all well and good blaming UPS, but seeing plenty of reviews saying the same thing going back years about them, you would think Dometic would warn their customers that they use an unreliable delivery company and should perhaps state deliveries can take longer than the 5 to 7 days they suggest it will take them to deliver.
