Amazon has better warranty…

Bought a ToolkitRC lipo charger and it unexpectedly broke in 8months, they won’t be replacing it.

I expect chargers to work for a minimum of 12months and not sure what the new consumer law says but when we part of EU the rule was that electronic devices should have a lifespan of at least five years under normal usage.

Understandably you’re a small company but you should also sell goods you can stand behind.

UK warranty is up to 12months, defective products are meant to be sent back to the retailer who can then deal with the manufacturer which is exactly why I should have gone to amazon because they don’t send me to a chinese company when i have issues

Hi Grimaldi, I'm very sorry that you felt your overall experience with us warranted only 1 star. Amazon also has the same UK warranty period that we offer, but granted, they can be more flexible at times, as they can afford to do so. We're a very small family run startup, so as you can imagine, we need to be a little stricter on our return policies and we believe that 6 months (as per your statutory rights) is already quite generous. As you came to us after 8 months with a fault with your M4AC charger (priced at £18.95), we couldn't offer a direct replacement in this instance, as your warranty period had already expired. We instead offered a discount on a replacement and suggested that the manufacturer might be able to help repair the charger. I don't believe we received any further correspondence from you after this offer was made? Either way, I hope you can understand that we're not doing anything different to other retailers here and the warranty by it's very nature is time dependent and limited. We will always however try to help where we can in any instance, but we have to be reasonable. All the best and I hope you have a pleasant remainder of your day, Drew

We do very much stand by the products we sell and one of these ways are offered in the form of a warranty, which is of course limited by nature. There are no new laws regarding faulty goods, you still have 6 months warranty for items that develop a fault with a further 6 months if you can prove the fault existed at the time of delivery. The law has not changed on this and it's still very clear. Whilst I also love Amazon myself, Amazon cannot compete with the level of technical support provided by ourselves or other UK FPV stores, nor are they able to offer FPV products at the price we offer either. Rather more importantly in this instance, they also do not sell the charger you purchased from us, and if they did, I can almost guarantee they'll will have factored in a sizable buffer in the price to cover any returns they may encounter. On the other hand, we're a value provider and offer our products at the very cheapest prices that we can offer them for, with very modest profit margins.

Hopefully with the support of our customers, we'll be as big as Amazon one day and be in a situation where we're able to provide an unlimited no-quibbles return ethos, but alas, we have a little ways to go yet. It's our hope that pilots continue to support our small UK stores, to not only invest in our own UK economy, but also prop up the hobby by allowing us to provide a one-stop-shop for FPV products that are not otherwise easily accessible elsewhere.

First Class Service for a faulty item.

Drew provided first class service with a product that was DOA.
He sorted out a replacement directly from the manufacturer with a return label for the faulty unit. You could not ask for any more than that.
I would definitely recommend Drone Authority to anyone based on this experience.

Easy to order, quick delivery and great product

I wanted to order a Vifly strobe light for my drone and on Googling saw Drone Authority came up as a supplier. I was able to order easily on line and the item was delivered quickly and fully meets my expectations. Overall good service so would use again and recommend.

Superior service from these guys

Superior service from these guys. I only bought the ViFly strobe but what a full comprehensive package arrived and brilliant price, lol only thing missing from the kit was the drone :).

So good I ordered another kit as a spare. These guys deserve supporting as in my opinion, they not only provide quality goods but seem to be there to please their customers.

Thank you Drone Authority for all you do.... perfect.

Was with me every step of the way.

My parcel went missing by DPD by Drone Authority made sure I was looked after, with daily updates they helped me keep calm. Fantastic company and I will continue to show my support to them by being a regular customer.
