Total con …ordered thru appliances…

Total con …ordered thru appliances direct, who washed their hands of a faulty dishwasher, passed it to manufacture, it’s as been going on for six months, said they couldn’t replace this machine until engineered visited…finally sent an engineer 2 weeks ago and have heard nothing, be warned do not buy appliances from this company

Faulty Tumble Dryer

I bought an electriQ tumble dryer (eiQTD7GS) from Appliances Direct at the end of June.

Between then and now, a crack has developed on the front panel, stretching across almost the entire length of the panel.

I contacted Appliances Direct last week about the issue, and after a few emails and telephone conversations, I was informed that I would not be receiving a refund, replacement or even a repair and that they considered the matter closed.

According to Appliances Direct customer services, this crack occurred by one of two ways. Either by impact (there has been no impact), or by heat expansion through repeated use.

Now, I can not deny that the tumble dryer has been used repeatedly, but no more so than previous tumble dryers that I have owned in the past.

Today I tried to call the manufacturer to try and rectify the problem, only to discover that electriQ is an Appliances Direct (Buy It Direct Ltd) own brand.

I was offered a £20 partial refund as a 'goodwill gesture' (which I refused), and it was made clear to me that this was not an admission of fault.

This was not my first purchase from Appliances Direct, but it will most certainly be my last.

Bought a wine cooler in 2021

Bought a wine cooler in 2021 . Suddenly got an error message E3 . Tried to phone the company for several days but could not get through. This morning I managed to speak to a lady called Mary . They are not able to send anybody to repair the Wine Cooler as it is discontinued . Cannot get a local engineer who can repair the electric wine coolers. so, my advice is please don’t buy any electric products because the company is not able to even recommend an engineer.

Product looks good but I'm unimpressed with the delivery process

The product looks good but the delivery process was very confusing and unsatisfactory.
When I ordered, I was given a suitable date for delivery. A few days before that, a delivery company contacted me to say that it would be delivered on a different date which was not convenient. No option to change it, I was merely promised a message the night before to give a delivery time slot. As I followed the tracking, it became apparent that the original date would be met which was good. I waited for a time slot - nothing arrived and I was left expecting a delivery between 0800 and 1800. That's not a time slot, that's a day. The delivery co was unhelpful, only offering a 30 minute notice call. What kind of logistics company cannot give a closer time than that? The delivery was eventually made early afternoon - no 30 minute notice and the driver found it amusing that I had been waiting in an empty unheated warehouse for 5 hours.
All this as I was trying to run a business with dificult timings and other people relying on me. I, of course, had lost my sense of humour by this time.
The product, as I said, looks fine and time will tell. But a close look at the delivery process and communication seems in order.

WE PURCHASED A CD10L-V5 DEHUMIDIFER in…

WE PURCHASED A CD10L-V5 DEHUMIDIFER in december 23. it has been used only in the winter maby only 20 times since purchase.
Switched on yesterday and it blow the fuse. Do not purchese from this company as the machine will not do the job it was purchased for. a waste of money.

Dehumidifier stopped working, good support

Dehumidifier stopped working and called them, very helpful and responsive. Received email tech support with instructions to do a test, which resaulted in there being no problem with it. So happy with their service.

Very unhappy

Very unhappy, the cooker switches off and have had 3 different engineers to have a look and repair. Same issue again but they are sending another engineer for another fix. Its seems its a faulty product but they will not replace or give me my money back. Worst ever experience in my life and will tell others about it too. Can’t cook or use the oven for big family meals or dinner guests. My previous cooker was 18 years old, if i could have repaired it i would have done as it got the job done(shame it broke down) and shame i was given electriq as a replacement and i paid myself as thinking about all the £17’s a month i paid to cover the old cooker. Now i just out some money away and save it as better so I can buy something i want to rather than it being chosen for me
