Not as advertised
Read online literature. Planned trip to uzbekistan. Always filtered our drinking water. Last trip used ceramic filter. This time convinced Epic was better. After one week the filter stopped dripping. Rinsing flushing did not help. Was forced to purchase bottled water. The Epic pitcher became a very expensive water pitcher. Returned to USA and find returns limited to 30 days. Never again. Ceramic filter and bleach drops. Never Epic. Expensive junk.

Hi Mark, I'm so sorry you had a negative experience with our filters! Sadly, our filters don't handle high sediment levels well. Our filters are made to do well with the relatively low sediment levels typical of treated U.S. household water, rather than the higher sediment levels that can be more common in tap water in parts of Uzbekistan.
The often higher sediment levels in the water you were using are what most likely led to the filter stopping prematurely. I'm sorry we weren't better at communicating how high sediment can affect filter life, especially when using our filters while traveling.

I'm not 100% sure of the protocol for this, but our support team can be reasonable if you explain the situation and that you were out of the country for those 30 days. If you reach out, include "agent," your order number, and a description of the issue to speed up getting help from our team.

Hi, the hole is intentionally small as a mechanism to slightly increase contact time, as longer contact time with the filter helps with the filter's performance. Let me know if you have any other questions about the filter's function and design 🙂
Finally Got My filter
UPDATE: Thank you for the response Epic filters. Shipping time is the only thing I can really complain about. Would be 5 star if shipping times get better.
Originally my replacement filter was a few days late. I had finally got it but the packaging had been changed looks like original packaging got damaged by crappy USPS but thankfully the filter looks OK. Still waiting on a 2nd order of 2 filter pack on Amazon. Ship times for replacement filters are fairly lengthy. I ordered from 2 different places in hopes of getting quicker shipping.
This is my first replacement of the everytap filter in my Hydrocell but my original filter was great. I use it for all water I drink now. Even crappy city water that used to have an aftertaste now tastes like fresh spring water. And the filter is definitely filtering. I once went 2 weeks without cleaning my bottle and at the bottom after multiple fills I found a tiny pile of microplastics. Knowing I used to drink that, I will use these filters until I can't get them anymore.

Outstanding company
I have purchased Epic filters for over a year or more and find this company’s product outstanding. I recently had an experience where ordering resulted in a return- most likely an error on my end. The company went above and beyond to make my experience pleasant and favorable. I have recommended this business to many of my friends. I originally heard about Epic from a site that evaluated water filters (not a sponsored promotion). The amount of filtration is impressive.

Great Customer Service
We recently moved and noticed our epic filter wasn’t working great. It stopped filtering and took a really long time. We got another filter and the same thing happened. After contacting customer service, they sent me a different kind of filter (nano) since there is a lot of sediment in the water in the area near me and maybe this one will work better. I also bought a cheap filter to put on my faucet as they suggested to double filter the water. I appreciate them giving suggestions and sending a new filter. It’s too early to tell if our problem is solved, but thanks for sending a new filter to try!

Hi Sara, I'm sorry you had to deal with that with your first two filters. I'm so glad we were able to help! Using a sediment pre-filter along with the Nano XP should definitely help with the filter life issue you were experiencing. I'm also sorry we weren't better at communicating from the start that high levels of sediment can clog filters and slow down filtration. We really appreciate the kind review and are so glad you are so far happy with the filter we've sent!
Get clean water!
So far this company has been amazing in my experience. The shipping is spot on customer service is some of the best I’ve ever experienced, I’ve never had the water tested, so I am trusting what they’re telling me about the filters and what they can do, but that goes with a lot of things. I did a lot of reading down rabbit holes, and I believe they make the best filters for the healthiest water.

I did contact customer support, but unfortunately, I’m still getting the same vague answers that my order is “packed” and “should be shipping soon,” with no actual shipping date.
I’m honestly tired of going back and forth. If there’s a supply or fulfillment issue, just be transparent and tell customers when the order can realistically ship. My order was placed on September 25 and still hasn’t shipped.
