My ticket was cancelled once for an airline issue but the agent who attended me David made all he could do to fix that issue an resolved it at the time that he told me. Was an excellent experience with the company and for sure I would recommend it!

VERY costly, bad experience with Farebarber

Today is 6/21/23....I have yet to be contacted by anyone from Farebarber. Nor, has anyone responded to my concerns/complaint. I have called numerous times, and was on hold forever!!! SHADY COMPANY IF YOU ASK ME!!! Contacting Farbarber has been a VERY bad experience, VERY costly experience. We purchased 2 tickets to Cancun on 12/29/22 for a total amount of $1189.00, which at the time, we thought it was a good price. As it turns out, it wasn’t even a good price, because the other couple joining us for our vacation got their 2 tickets for the same flight, for $876.00, which is beside the point. Our flight was scheduled for Saturday, March 18, 2023. I went online with Delta on Friday, March 17, 2023, 24-hrs in advance of the flight, and after numerous attempts, wasn’t allowed to check in. I called them and was told that the tickets were suspended because the vendor (Farebarber) had not paid for the tickets. I was in a panic. I tried several times to reach David Hunt with no answer and no return phone calls. I also sent him three emails, with no response. We were already on our way to the airport when he finally called back and said he was sorry, but could get us there in 2-3 days. This was absolutely not acceptable. We already had our reservations for the resort, and had another couple joining us, that would not be allowed to check in unless we had already arrived, since the reservation was in our name. In desperation, within a few hours of our flight, we contacted Delta again, and it was confirmed again that our tickets had not been paid for by Farebarber. Delta also confirmed that our reservation was not the first one that this had happened to. Delta has had several issues with Farbarber not making payments for tickets. We made a new reservation with Delta directly, for a cost of $2859.00!! That is $1600 more that we had to spend. There have been numerous calls to different Farebarber employees, with no acceptable response. I filed a dispute with my credit card company, and Farebarber even stated that the dispute had to be cancelled, in order for them to settle with me, because it was causing an issue for them. I absolutely was not going to remove the dispute. As stated, after numerous calls, I am simply asking for the reimbursement of the extra $1600.00 we had to spend at the last minute. After this bad experience, in reading other recent reviews, other Farebarber customers have stated that airlines confirmed that they have had the same issues with Farebarber not paying for the tickets, and were left in a lurch at the last minute. What a total headache they have been….to us, and our vacation fund! So…..beware of Farebarber!!

Farebarbers note to Trustpilot, over 8 months later, states that you attempted to contact me via phone and left a detailed voicemail. That is an absolute lie.
I was at home all day and had access to both phones (217-369-2654 and 309-928-3636). There were NO unanswered calls and NO voicemails on either phone.
Since last April, I have emailed, mailed via USPS and called numerous times.
With no response at all to my many contacts. I did however speak to Farebarber employee David Hunt on one occasion, with no satisfaction.
I should assume that you, Farebarber, would make a valid attempt to contact me, and not just make a generic statement that you tried, when in fact there were no calls or detailed voicemails.

I think only people who have had a bad…

I think only people who have had a bad experience post reviews. Often the bad experience starts with a mistake made by the person booking the flight, as was the case with me. I booked a ticket for someone in her maiden name and then it had to be changed to her married name. farebarber told me how to proceed, but when I called Jorge kins , they told me differently. I spoke to four different representatives and they all contradicted farebarber. The obvious conclusion was that farebarber customer service was deficient. After a lot of fuss and bother, Jorge eventually admitted that Travel was correct and their representatives were following outdated instructions.

Beware of Farebarber

I had never heard of this company and was wary to use them. I should have listened to my instincts. I booked 3 non-refundable Delta airline tickets with Farebarber for December 2021. The day before the flight I tested positive for Covid and we could not take the flight. Farebarber provided us a courtesy voucher that needed to be used by December 2022. During this time most businesses were giving either refunds or courtesy voucher because of Covid. However, these businesses were honoring their vouchers. In March 2022, I contacted Farebarber and emailed that I wanted to use the voucher in an upcoming trip. I did not hear back from them at all. Farebarber did not honor their voucher when I contacted them on time. I recently reached out to Farebarber to correct their mistake. I provided them with the email proof that I had previously contacted them on time. They still did not honor their voucher. Think twice before booking!

Update 12/26/23: Initial post was May, 2023 and it has taken you approx 7 months to reply. Be advised that I emailed support at farebarber.com and david at farebarber.com on March 24, 2023 but received no response. As such, it is already in your mailbox to find. I have also sent proof of payment and email communication about the voucher to Trustpilot.

Beware… It’s November 2024 and they still haven’t provided me my refund.

Awesome person

This was a very pleasant call. I was offered the Best, less expensive flight plans. Lesley was very helpful. My credit card was very new, so I was then transferred to someone else to assist me, very patient and helpful. I am waiting for my New Credit Card to be accepted to complete my transaction.

Booked a quick flight with Farebarber…

Booked a quick flight with Farebarber online when another company, JetBlue, changed my flight to a 4 or 5 hour layover. Only reason I got a refund from JetBlue was because they had no other option they could provide. I was lucky. These were non-refundable tickets. I booked w Farebarber online then to my horror saw ALL these negative reviews. Most are people complaining about trying to refund non-refundable tickets. But that is what they are! If not lucky you are stuck. That is told to you upfront. So the Farebarber experience and booking was fine, no problem, no hassle, and deserves a good review because it saved me money..!!

We can now travel direct to pos on a Saturday and Tuesday….. please never let us go via Auckland chaos.
With the need to present Vac Certificate and Travel Insurance at check in, the time taken was over 2 hours in a queue - we only just got the Fiji Flight in Auckland.
The return flight was delayed (plane defect at Nadi) which meant we missed our flight to but an Andrew agent had already rebooked us - 5 hours later!!!! To get the bags off the carousel - over 1 hour…… then a bus trip from Int to Domestic. Real slow and I suggest more than 3 hours is needed…..

Please, never send us via AKL ever again.

We have used Farebarber for quite a few years now. We do sing your praises and we will continue to use your services. Having moved from Mornington to NZ has made zero difference - your services are very good for us.

I have take several trips from farebarber but this was one of my favourites. Manisha from indeman travel solutions made sure we had a he best experiences! I was truly thrilled with the birthday surprise they planned for my husband! Overall an amazing trip! Great hotels and also so far the best response rate from the travel agent. Every time we had ahiccup, Manisha made sure to help us out with it. My favourite part was definitely gurudongmar lake! Nothing to beat that yes

Scam!! You won’t actually get your tickets!!…

I purchased 4 round trip tickets from Pittsburgh to Cancun on January 22,2023 from David Hunt at Farebarber. The trip was for July 28, 2023 and it was on Delta. I received confirmation from both David and saw my flights on the Delta App. I was charged $2879 on Jan 26, 2023 by farbarber. Fast forward to a few nights ago .. April 15, 2023, I decided to look on my Delta app at my flights. Used my confirmation # and could not get into the flights. Messaged Delta to see what was going on.. received a message from Micha at Delta stating that my flights had been suspended due to the third party agency I used not paying the airline on time for the flight! What?? So for almost 3 months I thought I had flights for my vacation?!!! I emailed Davies Hunt who did get back to me assured me my flight were there and that I would fly. Ummm.. not according to Delta! David asked for my CC again so they could “rebook” my tickets! No way!!! I have now had several emails, calls to Farebarber, spoke to Alex a manager and Jenny from tickets to get my $ back! I was told via email that taxes and a consolidation fee were not refundeable. Ummm.. what is a consolidation fee?? I I initially agreed on the taxes which would have been around $640. I did not agree to only get back $1881! So they still ended up stealing $1000 from me??? What kind of company does this?? One that is not legit!! I am still going to fight for the $ I gave them that I thought I’m good faith they had used to PAY for my tickets!!!
Do not use this company. It’s been the biggest headache I’ve ever had!! And my summer vacation is off and ruined!!!
I see that after 8 mos this company finally replied. They reached out through email right after I wrote my review.. telling me they will make new reservations.. ummmm.. you didn’t even make the first one. Then I was told I could get some of my $ back if I took my review down! What??! I ended up getting it all back with my credit card company!’
Again.. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!

We were a bit skeptical about booking…

We were a bit skeptical about booking everything online with Farebarber as it was our first time with them. But I must say everything turned out even better than we expected. I'll be pleased to book with them again without hesitation. And the consultants were reply within 2 days' time with proper answers to our questions. Thank you Manisha ...!!!!
