Travelers beware! I booked a round trip to Cancun from Boston, MA, US in December. The first flight went fine. We find out less than 24 hours before our flight home that our tickets were suspended! We had to get help from a hotel representative who kindly and gracefully helped us for over 3 hours to figure out what went wrong. It turned out that Farebarber booked our tickets on a Delta Airlines flight, but the tickets were arranged between Farebarber and Kenya Airways, so Delta could not help us, as the tickets were from the ticket stock of Kenya Airways, and Kenya Airways suspended our tickets. It took hours to reach Kenya Airways because we had to use a hotel phone for all our calls, and it could not dial out internationally to Kenya. I had to download the Yolla app in order to make the call! Kenya Airways told me "I can't tell you why the flight was suspended, because I'm not allowed to divulge that information. All I can tell you is that it is your travel agents fault. If they call us, they can fix it." We called Farebarber, as did my mother in law, until finally we reached someone named Alex, who said "we are closed, our reservation team comes in tomorrow at 11am, please call then". When I told him how important it was, because we are in Mexico and will have to figure out a way home to the US within hours of our flight, he says "I know it's not wonderful now, but it will be wonderful tomorrow. I will call you at 11:20am after I speak to the reservation team." 11:45 comes, after numerous calls to Alex and Farebarber, we finally reach someone who tells us Alex is UNAVAILABLE. They ask for a call back in 3 hours to book another flight in 2 or 3 days! Absolutely not! Totally unacceptable! Farebarber lost my seats and we had to pay 2000$ USD for a flight home on the spot, which we would not have been able to do if our driver wasn't kind enough to look up tickets on his phone, because we had no internet access at the airport. Here's the bottom line - Farebarber lost my tickets and could not help me whatsoever, and the agent who said he would call me at 11:20 has still failed to call me! Avoid Farebarber at all costs, until you want to be in another country with no cell phone service, trying to figure out how you can spend an extra 2000$ on a flight home!

4th is -Great basic online travel system that you can customize pretty well to suit what you want. Prices were really competitive and a fantastic range of packages. Website is pretty user friendly too.

Responsive when the query is urgent (ie travel within 48 hours), but slow response if non-urgent which is frustrating.

Overall the price is spot on for what you get.
