The search function is easy to use and has many filters so that you can find the right therapist. It is easy to contact therapists and all were very responsive, showing that the therapists are receiving contact notifications immediately from the RSCPP site and are actively using it to connect with potential clients. I like that each therapist's profile page is quite uniform and standardised because it makes it easier to compare and determine which might be more suitable. My partner and I have found two professional, measured, and experienced therapists through RSCPP.

It appears RSCPP are interested in frequent referrals and revenue... not safe and ethical practice. I was unable to take on all clients referred to me for legitimate reasons for example inappropriote requests, such as conversion therapy.
By not taking on as many referrals as RSCPP would like they have cancelled my profile due to lack of engagement. I would therefore be cautious about how they operate and what standards they are expecting of therapists registered with them. Had I accepted all referrals, regardless of suitability, would my profile have been deactivated?

Edit - in response to RSCPP, simply stating that the organisation is against conversion therapy does not clarify how your processes protect clients. Your processes encourage practitioners to accept as many referrals as possible without taking into account the details. I am truly against conversion therapy and inappropriote referrals and I decline them, and as a result of my ethics I have been denied a referral route with the RSCPP.
I did not inform RSCPP of low referral rates, that is untrue. RSCPP closed my profile themselves and gave the reason that I did not accept enough referrals to meet RSCPP terms and conditions. I have the email from RSCPP stating this.

Session was very helpful and accommodating. Elaine is very attentive to her clients issues and applies her knowledge and wisdom for their guidance.

Awful. As someone paid membership for a number of years I was appalled when they cancelled my membership due to 'lack of client engagement'. The context here is that many clients don't respond to the counsellors attempt at contact and some change their mind. A large number of such incidents seems to result in counsellor's membership being terminated. Makes no sense. Avoid. Go with 'Counselling Directory'. Any good reviews on here are down to the counsellors, not RSCPP.

The reply below shows a severe lack of understanding. Yes, members of the public with mental health concerns need therapists who can engage them, however this requires said members of the public to respond to the contact attempts made by the therapists. If these people do not reply, it is not reasonable to cancel the therapist's membership. I have discovered that this is an issue many other therapists have had with RSCPP.

In January 2017 I paid £88.88 for RSCPP. I never would have done this if I'd have known they would have cancelled membership as a result of client's not returning my calls. Ludicrous.

RSCPP have now amended part of their response below (just after recently re-funding me!) to "An unusually high number of self-referrals did not attend any sessions with you compared to most therapists." Again - they are clearly missing the point. If therapists are returning client calls, emailing them and phoning them to arrange appointments and the clients do not get back to the therapist, it is reasonable to terminate the therapist's membership? I think most reasonable people know the answer to that question. I think it shows a significant lack of understanding.
