2012 DeRosa King Rs frame (supposed to be new and immaculate) mounted in Ultegra, ordered in February.
Bike arrived last week with two marks on the frame, one on the vertical tube, really deep, disguised under a sticker. Second on the fork. Also, handlebar 42 instead of 44, cassette 11-25 instead of 11-28.
Phone calls, many, etc.
Eventually they answered and they told me that I was a rather too exigeant (= demanding) customer, so in their view, apparently I deserved to receive a product with blemishes: fork mark due to the fact that the frame is made in Italy and all DeRosa came with imperfections (hello DeRosa, this is your dealer???!!!); horizontal tube mark, really big, they admitted it was by their fault. But only by phone, nothing written! Of course...
I spent more of 4K on this bike. I have practically no emails from them - despite I sent maybe twenty or more to them - they just don't answer. Also, on their site you will not find a section in which you can tell about your degree of satisfaction/dissatisfaction.
I would normally expect a different attitude in this price-segment. Even if you buy a 300 EUR bike from Decathlon you will get a MUCH better treatment compared to that I received after I spent 4250 Euro on this Freecycle.fr store!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, I want to share my experience in order for you to know and be aware. My advice is to look elsewhere, it is plenty of serious and trustful, honest, willing, great internet stores. In my view, the whom I am speaking about, is better to be avoided. Just a personal opinion,of course.
