Purchased a sirloin from fresh meast packs very dissapointed not as advertised in there promo pictures to be honest it was a waste of £105.00 i cooked a steak and the eating quality was extremly poor i cannot be bothered to go thru the hassle of sending it back i will use it for stewing beef my advice to all future customers is to think twice your local butcher is more tha likely cheaper and quality is far better

Missing item from order that I paid for. I’ve contacted them on WhatsApp, Facebook & email no reply. Will not be buying from this company again. They want shutting down

After buying from these guys for the last 2 years and spending over £10,000 with them, they've thanked me by sending me the worst meat. I am.an ex butcher/slaughterman and understand meats. I ordered £200 worth of steak and it was un-chewable and had to give it to my dogs. I explained this to them on my next order and they appologised and promised that they would ensure they would take extra care on this new order of nearly £200. Well they sent 3kg of wrong steaks (not what was ordered & 3kg of what they said were the same steaks! These were not steaks! This was large chunks of meat that could only be diced into stewing steak chunks and slow cooked. When complained I have basically been told that it was top quality meat and they suggest I look for another supplier. POOR SERVICE FROM MEL. They've ignored my last email Even sent them video and photos of the wrong and poor quality meats..

I would to add to their reply. Yes I have complained. I bought a bundle of T-bone steaks from them and gave some to a close friend and he explained that he was unable to eat as them as they smelt ransid. I found a further 3 that were also smelling bad. Explained this to Mel at Fresh meat and they replaced 3 of them. There were more off but due to them being frozen in their packs I dont find out until thawed to cook. I explained this to Mel. Obviously I am not going to eat 20 T-Bones at once so wasn't able to tell them how many were off from that order. The other was a full order that arrived and I showed them a video of all the meats as I unpacked it showing the temperatures were far too warm and all ice pack had zero ice in them and the meats were not safe for human consumption. Any other time i have contacted them has been when ordering WHOLE EXTRA MARBLED Sirloins and getting very thin strips with zero marbleing so not as advertised. At this point i started to realise they are not butchers, they are just a middle man that goes to buy in bulk and gets these already packed and just sends them out. So i realised when ordering these pieces it was pot luck on what arrived. Now surely as a paying customer that was generally spending £150+ per order I have the right to tell suppliers when things are not right. When things were correct and as advertised I was a very happy customer. When they get it wrong and I inform them they dont like it. I can't of complained that much considering I spent over £10,000 with them. Such a shame things have come to this. Just take a look at there Facebook page. It says it all. Easy to order online deliverd on time very nice meat and I received a free gift thank you very helpful

Delivery date as stated come in good time, biggest problem is I ordered 2x 4kg of ribeye (with what was meant to be as stated on the website 4kg +1kg extra) but did not get what they said. Anyway leaving that to one side the ribeye joints were green in the packet when they arrived and smelt sour, I understand oxidisation will happen with vacuum packets but the smell was not pleasant. I had messaged them to ask about it but was left with an automatic reply and nothing else. Not the best experience ordering offline but I will not be using these again I will stick with my alternative butcher. This is solely my own experience I have heard good thing from others. But for me it's a once off buy for joints.

Lovely meat every time and deli

Month on month since last year I have had issues with them not sending out my meat box subscription.
Every time I have had to chase it repeatedly after being ignored through their various contact channels. When I eventually get someone to talk to me, each time they promise the issue will be resolved.

The following month? Same problem.
Don't get me wrong the meat IS good for what you pay, but their customer service is abysmal.

No contact number... meat delivery delay... and no refund.

i have bought 2 lots of meat since xmas. top rate quality. it arrives on time and is carefully packed ready it eat or to put in the freezer. i am disappointed because i cannot got anymore in the freezer yet. thanks lads.

product amd customer care is brilliamy

Ordered from here 3 times (between my wife abd my email addresses). The first, we hosted a steak night and got some steaks. These were ok. We got the Christmas hamper, some mince, chicken and steak (mostly chicken and steak on other orders). Whilst the christmas hamper and mince was good, if describe the chicken as average but the sirloin steak very low quality. For us, it was the steak that enticed us to order more. I personally wouldn't bother again as I'd describe it good for slow cooking only. We had it pre-cut but it was so tough and what people say marbelled (I'd call if laced with gristle) that it couldn't really be eaten or enjoyed. They werent trimmed, basically a big lump cut into not very well presented steaks. Pretty disappointed with consistency in quality.

Delivery was expected on 7th January, email now 8th January, another email now 9th January,,,, waiting in for the delivery is ridiculous, and having to email every day, no communication unless you email them.still waiting,

Wouldn’t even give a 1 star. Especially for the lamb mince. The first time they said it was 10% fat, I used the chat function and emailed to ask if that was possible they said yes. The entire pack was basically fat. They gave me a refund and said this was not their usual standard. I give it the benefit of the doubt and order again along with some steaks and short rib. I email and DM to ask for the ribs to be cut and they say that’s fine. I receive the pack and low & behold. Nothing was cut, the lamb was once again practically 80% fat and the steaks were not cut properly. I tried!

Ordered 2 whole fillets to make Beef Wellington for big family gathering.
Arrived on time, well chilled. Excellent value for the price and everybody enjoyed the meal!

Overall they have been great, on issues with delivery, CS or taste, recently had a whole fillet that had a lot of marbling which fillet shouldn’t have which is why not 5 stars

I cannot fault either the company or the meat! I don’t give praise lightly but I have always found the meat to be some of the best I have ever eaten and always as described. The company are always very helpful and able to give help and advice.
I have had several orders and always better than any supermarket produce.
I look forward to many more fantastic meals, thank you

Ordered a platinum Christmas box with the beef. It should have been 2 rolled sirloins, instead I received two lumps of rump. Tried contacting them and I've had no reply. I've been a regular customer and given them the benefit of the doubt in the past however this will be my last order with them. The negative reviews are beginning to stack up, people take note.

Made quite a large order as I thought the quality from proper butcher would be better than a supermarket.

Delivery was good. Well packaged and on time.

I was so looking forward to the Rib eye steaks but they were very very tough no matter how I cooked them. Well below supermarket standards. The only way they are edible is if I pressure cook them in a stew which isn't what a rib eye is supposed to be for.

Lamb chops - very dark reddish brown before cooking which the internet tells me is a sign of not being fresh. When fried or grilled, too tough to eat. Again, I have to pressure cook to make them edible.

Disappointingly I won't be ordering online meat again from anywhere. Back to the supermarkets for me.

Ordered a complete striploin. Got 2 free rump steaks, they were some of the tastiest rump steaks I've ever eaten.

The striploin, well, even after trimming the fat (which was a nice yellow colour) I still ended with a sizable piece of beef. No issues with the size...

But the quality, not so good. They were tough, even after a dry brine and a super slow reverse sear to medium rare. The meat lacked flavor. As another commentor mentioned, this meat is probably from a low quality, older dairy cow. Not for me again. :/

The best I can say is that the delivery was well packed and came on time. I ordered a beef strip loin. It barely made the minimum weight and the sirloin was thinner than a bacon rasher for 30% of it. I was a mug and fell for the video online. It was clearly from a very poor dairy animal but what I think was strange was the lack of stamps on the outside which indicates the they had been cut off when the item was repacked in a uk packet. I may be wrong but anyway needless to say won’t be purchasing any more.
