Ordered a Evercade exp
Ordered a Evercade exp. Finally received it in April and the system stopped working after half an hour. Emailed funstock and they told me to send a video of the problem (the power light comes on, but the system doesn't turn on). I send the video on April 7 and have not received a response. At this point, I would just like a refund for a defective item, but they won't respond to emails. Would never buy from them again.

Started off well when purchasing the item, but since i've returned it; Tracked and Signed for, i've had no contact. They received the item on 07 Dec, and i've E-mailed them twice regarding refund update, and radio silence. Paid via Paypal, so going through there dispute department.
Impossible to talk to
Don't answer their e-mails. Don't have a contact form. Don't have a phone number. Funstock are fine when your order goes well. But if it doesn't, you cannot speak to them. So beware, they appear not to like contact. We've sent four e-mails from two different e-mail addresses over a six week period about our order for an Evercade XP. Now they've announced their stock is stolen and they can't supply it for Xmas and we still continue to be ignored. I will not be purchasing from them ever again unless they become more open to contact with their customers through their website.

Expect your items to be damaged in transit!
I recently placed an order with Funstock for an arcade stick, and straight after ordering I sent an email to their support email address quoting the order number and politely requesting that an adequate amount of protective packaging (eg bubble wrap) was used with my order so as to avoid any damage in transit by the couriers.
I had only ordered once from Funstock prior to this (a couple of years ago), and the hardback book that I had ordered was very inadequately packaged (it was just wrapped in thin cardboard and sent without anything to actually protect it from impact) and arrived with the spine damaged, and each corner of the book badly dinged/squashed. The enjoyment of having the book was impaired by the state that I received it but I didn't complain at the time. Being wary from this previous disappointing experience I wanted to avoid it from happening again, so sent the email to request sufficient protective packaging was used with the arcade stick order. The email was responded to within a few hours, confirming that they would be issuing instructions to the warehouse to package the item properly (this in my opinion should really be a given, and shouldn't have to be specifically requested by the customer) which at the time, was reassuring.
When my order arrived it arrived in a poor state; there had been no protective packaging used at all - the product box was placed in an outer box and sent just like that. As you would expect, this offered no protection in transit and the box was dented on the sides and the corners badly dinged. I had wanted the product box to be in good condition as the arcade stick is quite large and I had intended to keep it in the box when not is use so had wanted the box to be looking nice. I took a photo to give an example of one of the corners and emailed them explaining the disappointment but their response was that they would show the pic to the warehouse team to avoid it from happening again (and the response was slightly mocking in tone, as though I was making an issue over nothing) - this obviously doesn't do anything to help me and I am now left with a new product that is not in the state that you would want or expect a new product to be received in. I don't think it is at all unreasonable to expect to receive a new item (that I paid £155 for) in new condition; most online retailers seem to manage it but both of my experiences with Funstock have been poor in this regard.
They are clearly cutting corners when it comes to packaging their items to (presumably) keep costs to a minimum (the box that the arcade stick was sent in had a toffee product label on its side so they are re-using boxes that they are likely obtaining for free from someone) which I don't object to, as long as they are not compromising the product that the customer is paying good money for.
I will not be ordering from Funstock again, and can only warn others to not be surprised if the item they are ordering turns up damaged. :(

Wow in a word love retro games and been wanting this for ages. Saw it advertised as a pack with Funstock and delivery was very reasonable too. Ordered one morning and had it the following day

After the next item never again
This is 1st time I had tried the company and a complete fob off I had parcel with over £500 worth of items with "clear instructions of what to do if I am not it" they didn't and parcel was left with neighbour who we can't have contact with for legal reasons (they got people to attack our property) tried to contact DPD they told me to contact the supplier so contact Fun stock and there response was to tell me there not doing anything to help with it great 1st impression I ordered another thing with them I hope that comes even if it does never shopping with them again

Excellent company
Excellent company. Quick despatch. I had been after the Bitmap Brothers 1 on Evercade for a while and they had it when no one else did. I have a done a pre order now. Hopefully that goes just as smoothly.

I placed an a pre-order for a VS Founders edition, paying all up front in May. They sent the first batch out in November, they said they lost mine and nothing they could do in an unfriendly manner. They said mine would be sent out as priority with the second batch. Second batch sent out mid December and I didn't receive one or any fresh info from dpd. Funstock replied 2 weeks ago saying they sent it out. I asked why dpd had given me no new info they said it could take 3 to 5 days. I followed up after Christmas saying no vs founders and no info from dpd. No reply over a week later and now ignoring my emails. They still have my money too.

Fabulous company
I have never used this company until recently and was blown away with how friendly and efficient they are.
After having a crisis of not having my console order fulfilled by Argos and Amazon, I ordered one from here and Game.
Game order came first and was absolutely no hassle in cancelling my order from them - to my relief! They were very friendly.
I did order a bunch of games for the console from them, as they had the best selection, they arrived very quickly, considering it was a few days before Christmas and were extremely busy due to a new console release.
Honestly couldn't recommend them enough, even though I was a pain to say the least, they were friendly and helpful.

Since I originally posted this, the support team has contacted me and apologized for the delay in getting back to me. Since I have been in contact with them, they have gotten back to me quite quickly and so I changed my rating from 2 stars to 5 stars.

The only reason I am giving a bad review here is that the support has not been responsive.
I have an issue with my order and I have emailed Funstock 3 times in the last 3 weeks and the only response I have gotten was the automatic reply stating that they will get back to me in 2 business days each time.
This is the first time having a shipping issue. I even contacted the shipping company and they told me that I had to contact the shipping company which is Funstock.
I am hoping that this will get Funstock to look into why their support team is not getting back to requests. Even if they just respond saying that they are sorry they are so busy and they are looking into it and will get back to me or at least keep me updated in a reasonable amount of time.

Buy a evecade cartridge that doesn't work, wait 3 days for a reply, then they ask for photos video and now been waiting another 4 days supposedly while the evecade team have look or something. Seriously never know such a fuss on for basic customer service. I've sent multiple emails with my order number how hard can it be to reply and sort out a replacement for one £15 cartridge that doesn't work,

Ich habe ein Spiel vorbestellt, eine Limited Edition. Sie sollte pünktlich zu Release ausgeliefert werden - mit DPD verschickt. Am Release-Tag kam das Spiel nicht an. Mit DPD Deutschland telefoniert kam schnell heraus, dass das Spiel beim Zoll liegt und dass Einfuhrabgaben getätigt werden müssen. Kein Problem, hätte ich gern bezahlt um mein Spiel zu erhalten - leider teilte mir DPD mit, dass der Shop diese Abgaben laut deren Versandbedingungen zahlen müsste. Der Support ist leider sehr langsam und hilft kaum bei dem Problem, sie haben tagelang nicht geantwortet und ich musste ihnen mehrfach schreiben. Es sind Wochen vergangen und ich habe mein Spiel immernoch nicht erhalten und auch keine Info ob man sich überhaupt mit meinem Problem auseinander setzt. Ich würde dort nicht erneut einkaufen.

The collector's box arrived with some dents, but nothing too major. I would have preferred a little bit more foam or bubble wrap. The goodies inside were safe and I enjoyed ogling at it.
My parents may be disappointed at me, but I'm satisfied with funstock.
A lil' bit better cushion, but aside from that I high recommend funstock.
Good, but watch out for some of their policies
Funstock cater for well for the gaming community. They have a good range of stock to appeal to gamers (particularly retro gamers), competitive prices and decent delivery times on in stock items.
Where they let themselves down is that all their policies seem designed to benefit them, not the customer. Here's some examples I've come across recently.
If you order an item that's not in stock or a pre-order, Funstock take your money straight away (unlike some retailers who only charge you at the point your goods are dispatched). However, if you order several items at once, Funstock will delay the entire order until all items are available. So, if you pre-order something, along with an item that's in stock, you won't get any of your order until the pre-order is released - even if that's months away. Inb other words, they've got your money but won't send you the stuff you've paid for that they have in stock.
You can get round this by splitting your order into several separate items to get things as they become available, but if you place several smaller orders, you'll have to pay P&P costs on any which are under £29.95.
It's a shame all their policies appear to be for their benefit because otherwise they are a decent company. Just beware of the pitfalls of placing pre-orders with them.

Great place for Evercade!
I found funstock when I saw an advert for the Evercade handheld system. I live in the states and don't often order from across the pond. I am glad I did in the case of the Evercade! Not only was it an awesome opportunity to get a licensed copy of so many great titles from the past, the customer service at Funstock is amazing! Every step of the way, Andy sent an update and I knew what was happening with the product due to factory issues and Covid-19 issues. I will definitely continue to buy my evercade carts from Funstock!

Although I had to wait for a short time for them I was very happy as no one else had any stock or any way to pre order them. The games arrived about a week earlier than expected. They were well packed. I have ordered some more Evercade cartridges and hopefully these will arrive ok too.
