Though I have not been on the platform for long but I've seen how helpful ot is to professionals. People are ready to offer professional advice to those who ask questions and share ideas.

DO NOT GO TO THEIR SITE OR SIGN UP, THEY WILL STEAL YOUR PRIVATE INFORMATION. After signing up, Gainrep illegally accessed my private information. They sent out invitation emails without my consent to the thousands of people in my contact list. The company steals your contact list, emails everyone of your contacts, and will steal your money if your pay for anything.

EDIT: Gain Rep has been harassing me with emails for over a year. I finally gave in and logged in and immediately regretted it. I didn't click anything extra, but embarrassingly, ALL of my contacts were emailed asking for a recommendation for me. Just humiliating!!
There is no benefit to this pointless website (why would I want to be on a site that does nothing but ask people for an embarrassing recommendation?). Please don't let them access your email. I've already deleted and blocked them and, so far, no more constant annoying emails from them!!

Gainrep is a great way to connect with professional allies.

It is a well organized platform to help people find jobs and help companies find job seekers.
Then there are people like me, long retired, not seeking a job but willing to share my thoughts and experiences. The site asks me to sign in from time to time, but I do not fall in either of their categories. Should I continue to offer advice or refrain from it?

Learning about this platform has helped me gain new insights into my search for my next position.
