Order canceled after a week
After waiting a week for my order they've now decided they don't have the item in stock so they canceled, now I have to wait another several days for my money back!
Hideously Bad Online Service
I have now been waiting 2 weeks for an extremely simple, online order to arrive. In stock items that for some bizarre reason they just refuse to send and my order remains on ‘pending’ in my order history list.
I have been given the run around, been given the same excuses time and time again with no one having any clue why my items haven’t been sent.
‘It’s being packaged as we speak and will be with you within the next few days.’
‘It should be sent out ether today or tomorrow’
‘Thank you for you patience, it should be sent out very soon’
Over multiple conversations over the course of 2 weeks.
Etc etc etc. All of these excuses have turned out to never have happened and they never give me a reason or any justification as to why my order isn’t being sent out.
Their service is horrific and I highly advice ordering from a 3rd party outlet and not from their online store.

Games Workshop habt zwei Bestellungen doppelt vom Konto abgebucht. Der Support teilte mir mit, ich soll die doppelten Lastschriften zurück buchen. Jetzt droht Gamesworkshop mit einem Inkassobüro. Interessante Strategie um die Einnahmen zu steigern, böse Menschen würden diese Masche Betrug nennen....

Just more of the same, online store not shipping out items for almost a month, even though items are in stock. No communication whatsoever. I’ve had to call three times and no one is willing to help. I can’t even finish my models, and I’m starting to think I got into the wrong hobby. Profit at all costs is a great way to run some companies, but when it comes to hobby companies, it will destroy it.

I thought I'd order direct from GW, huge mistake. Unless you enjoy paying 10-30% more and having no customer service. GW don't seem to care about consumers only shareholders. Order from the number of better value and better customer serviced online retailers.

If I could give them a 0 I would. I sadly bought stuff from the website only to then check out all the reviews.
Since ordering 2 in stock items and then paying for tracked delivery within 3 days over a week later my order is still pending.
Yet they had no trouble billing very quickly.
After 2 attempts at speaking to someone and emailing I still have no hope that my order will show up.
I have resorted to issuing a charge back so who knows when i shall get my money back.
How they are still in business treating customers like this I do not know. This is basic stuff when it comes to fulfilling an order.
Do not buy from them online!!! I'd go to the store or order from one of the many excellent independent gaming shops.

They will take your order and sit on it so long that in the mean time things will go out of stock ! Then they hold your order AGAIN until things become available as they are incapable of communicating .
I'm lucky ! I've only been waiting 8 days but my £140 order was held up by a £6 water pot which could of been posted out to me at a later date ? Surely?
I've been promised a refund and a quick despatch since then but guess what ? I have to take more time out of my day today to call again as nothings changed .
If you want loads of stress and never be fully confident your stuff will be delivered then crack on ! Your going to love the process :)
Update!! After four phone calls and three web chats I actually got through to a young woman who knew what she was doing . My order is now in packaging which will take a few days apparently then 5 day delivery .
I've never been so excited to almost feel like I'm going to receive something I've paid for ! but I bet I'm back on the phone Monday morning .
This process has not been the Catalina wine mixer .
Absolutely atrocious customer service
Absolutely atrocious customer service. Every time I place an order, it’s late.
Every time I place an order there is some excuse as to why it didn’t ship on time. Why don’t they spend some of the money they are making on their overpriced products on improving the customer experience.
Slow and poor communication
Did a collect in store order at the beginning of December which took 8 days to dispatch. I got an email telling me it had been dispatched but nothing else. The tracking hadn’t changed after several days. It was coming by ‘Express Carriers’. Frustrated I went into the shop and it had been delivered some days previously but no email or change in the tracking. The company needs to get their act together.
Massively Overcommit and Underdelivery
Placed an order two weeks ago with tracked 3 day delivery. I contacted them the following week to allow for the weekend, and found out that they hadn't shipped as one item was out of stock (It was shoing as in stock when I ordered it), but hadn't bothered to inform me either by phone or by email. They also missed part of my address. This was corrected, with a transcript as evidence.
They eventually shipped, a probably incomplete order, by UPS 8 days after the order (this was a 3 day delivery remember), and 5 days later, I am still waiting. It turns out that they gave UPS the incomplete address... As for UPS, where do I start...
Anyway, it's still not here. Will NEVER buy from them again.

Ces gens vous prennent pour des C.O.N.S. Cde. payée depuis 8 jours et pas encore expédiée. Réponses "bateau" tous les 3 ou 4 jours ! Un jour c'est à cause de la grève... un autre c'est la surcharge de travail... j'ai demandé l'annulation et le remboursement mais là on me répond : pas possible votre cde. est déjà emballée. Alors pourquoi elle n'est pas expédiée ??? Par contre mon PayPal a été encaissé à la seconde, LUI ! C'est SCANDALEUX ! HONTEUX !
Not a good shopping experience
Not a good shopping experience. I waited until their Kill team into the dark set came available, and placed an order. A free card tin was added to the order automatically, and reading the store page it said it would be included while stocks last. (I certainly didn't care if I got it or not) Well, a week and a half later and I'm chasing up on why my order hasn't been dispatched and I'm told it is because the tin is out of stock, but by now the game is also out of stock so they can't send me that either. Not impressed that I missed out on the item, because of a free item I didn't care for not being in stock.
I made it two star because a separate order for something else did at least go through and dispatch quickly.

Games Workshop does not care about their customer, even when they spend significant money on their overpriced products. The justification from the in-store team is that you are paying for the service. This is agreeable when in-store. The staff are dedicated, knowledgable and helpful. But online, they take a minimum of 4 days to reply and always have their (we are under heavy load auto reply on). The staff does not supply useful information and despite the day day turn around (which is very long for this day and age) The orders are often not even dispatched for 5-10 days after ordered and the shipping takes 2-4 weeks on average. GW start caring about your customer.
White Dwarf subscription issues never shows up
I work in the merchant marine, and was tired of missing issues of White Dwarf.
So I bought a subscription for White Dwarf Magazine in May 2022. When I did not receive any magazine in June, I wrote customer service and was told that my first issue would arrive in July. The July issue didn't arrive until after I had written Customer Service after seeing the issue already available in the local hobby stor. The same happened in August. And September. So I cancelled the subscription in October 2022 due to having to contact Customer Service every month to get my issue.
They informed me that I was due a refund for 8 issues. Having paid for 12 months and so far only receiving 2 magazines I wrote them back to make sure this was correct. They then promised that the September issue would be sent to me and I would be refunded for 8 issues.
Games Workshop then sent a digital voucher for the remaining amount not a refund. I wrote Customer Service again that I had only received 2 magazines and had 1 pending. By my calculations even with the pending issue 9 issues is remaining. I asked for a proper refund to my account not a virtual voucher.
After writing this to Games Workshop they have replied that they will refund the amount to my account and cancel the voucher.

I still hadn't received my refund. I to send a follow-up email and has been informed that the amount will be refunded within 4-5 working days. 3 months after I cancelled the subscription.

Aujourd’hui, bas les masque. Chez Games Workshop on se fiche de la communauté, il n’y a que le pognon qui compte.
Et encore, s’il n’y avait que ce constat blasé, de là découle tout les problèmes suivant et bien plus dommageables qui s’expliquent par une radinerie qui dépasse l’entendement:
- abandon d’un service client en français
-abandon des noms français dans les codex
-fautes Et coquilles dans les romans et codex
-livraison en plus de 2 semaines (quand les colis arrivent…)
-grosses ruptures de stock dans les magasins estampillés « Games Workshop » alors que les revendeurs indépendants deux rues plus haut à le stock plein.
-malgré tout, une augmentation des prix exubérante vient d’être effectuée.
Bref, Games Workshop méprise le Hobby, les Joueurs et la communauté.
Really poor service ordering online
Really poor service ordering online. The delivery was supposed to be two days but I’m currently still awaiting a dispatch notification four days later. I got in touch to enquire and was assured it would be shipped that day. No chance. I got in touch again and they still couldn’t tell me whether it would go out the following day, meaning it’s now unlikely to ship before the weekend and will likely be looking at 10-14 days for delivery by the time it arrives. There are plenty of rival companies that are willing to honour their delivery times at cheaper rates so I won’t be returning and would advise anyone and everyone to avoid GW
Independent stockist programme… DONT DO IT!
Thinking about being an independent stockist? My advice - DONT.
We were an independent for roughly a year. After speaking to someone at an open day we were told that due to being a vape shop we would be unable to stock warhammer due to having 18+ products. We then found out that the rival vape shop to us had been approached to stock warhammer?! Naturally we decided to approach them again. Only for GW to call and inform our rivals!!!
After stocking this for around a year and seeing a drastic downturn in sales, our rep recommended that we take on the paint range (for over £1K) and stated that most stockists see a 70% increase in sales. We were continuously called until we settled on taking the range on.
Sadly in 3 months we sold a grand total of about 8 pots of paint out of several hundred! When we asked to return the stock we were told it wasn't allowed and we needed to pay the full amount. When we told them that we weren't getting the sales and needed to review, we were instantly de listed from the stockists on the website. Literally within minutes of the call ending. Within a day GW had approached another store in town and convinced them to take on the products!!!
The next thing we knew GW had informed a debt collection agency to retrieve the full amount or stock from the business. I was forced to sell the stock on Ebay for an outrageous loss to offset the remaining amount, and then had to use my house deposit to pay the rest!
The whole experience with GW was nothing but a total shambles. You have to order via an Excel spreadsheet, meaning that the stock figures aren't live. You don't find out that something you have ordered is out of stock until it just doesn't turn up! Meaning if you've placed an order for a customer, they are left quite upset!
GW also only allow one order per week, which if ordered on a Monday, usually arrives Thursday or Friday. We had an issue where when we had placed an order, a customer wanted to order £400+ of stock. We called our Rep to be told that we would have to place the order the following week as we had used our one order per week. Even though it was within an hour of placing it! We said we were happy to pay postage, still to be told no. Losing us a £400 sale! Totally ridiculous way of running a business.
They also take back range stock, only for the returns not to arrive, when they then refuse to refund you for the stock!!!
To compete with online you realistically have to offer 20-25% discount. Making the margins pathetically small. Trying to get hold of new edition boxes is a total joke. They are usually totally out of stock, and when they finally get some for you to buy... They announce a made to order for the customers. Leaving you with a fortune in stock you can't shift.
The ranges that they offer you are also the same ones that every stockist has to carry, along side the GAME UK stores. Meaning theres absolutely no variety in stock from one GW independent stockist to the next.
As appealing as GW will make this sound when they give you the sales pitch, don't fall for it! Find another product to stock, it'll be far less stressful and you'll make FAR better margins!!!

Sehr sehr negativ, ich habe ein Jahres-Abbo für Warhammer TV hinter mir .... den Content für diesen Preis, nie wieder! Die Guten Seiern strecken sich über Ewigkeiten, graphische high End Animationen (The Exodite) wie Astartes haben se grad mal 3 Folgen (je ca 11,12,13 min) hinbekommen, peinlich! Ich werde nie wieder in meinem Leben auch nur einen Cent direkt an GW senden!
