Lies but we got there in the end!
Lies.. but we got there in the end!
I emailed gearclix 3 times over 3 months asking if the lens i wanted was in stock.. the answer was yes 3 times.
I ordered, paid and received emails with my order details. Fast forward 3 full weeks and still heard nothing. I email them and got a response saying my lens was due 6th September. On the 4th I received royal mail tracking number and details which shows that they are expecting the item. This status stays the same for 6 days and nothing changes. My item does not arrive on the 6th.
I email again asking where my item is, they give me a load of lies about troubles with royal mail which just isn't true which will be apparent the further you read. Come 11th September and im given new tracking details from FedEx who are now transporting the item. First tracking details show the item has been collected by FedEx in HONG KONG! A week earlier royal mail are expecting my item in the UK and now it's in HONG KONG with a delivery date of the 15th. The Fedex tracking turned out to be really good and my item was delivered on the 15th.
I must point out, if Gearclix had been straight and upfront from that start then I would have no worries about them. It was clear as day from the start they were importing my item from Asia and that's exactly what happened. If they told me we're importing your order, you'll be waiting 3-4 weeks and then it'll be with you.. no problem what so ever!
The fact I was met with lies and false tracking information was really poor and I urge Gearclix in the future to just be straight with customers about orders, and if you are straight and honest you will build a great customer relationship.
Lens is here and I love it! Love the price too!

Wow, Great Price
Wow, what a great price for the Canon EOS R7 camera that I bought from this company. I have to admit that the delays in delivery did concern me (so gave 4 stars instead of 5) but the correspondence was very reassuring that I had with James. He did reply promptly to my emails regarding my worries and kept me up to date with my delivery, letting me know truthfully what was happening and why. If you’re going to purchase merchandise from this company then be prepared for possible delays in delivery but at the same time remain confident that your purchase will arrive. The massive reduction in price compared to what I would of paid via a UK shop was well worth the wait. It is interesting that the negative feedback from a few on here didn't actually purchase anything so their feedback is redundant and should be dismissed. I will be making further orders in due course from this great company. Thank you. Terry.

Excellent experience with GearClix.
Having purchased from GearClix on two occasions, I cannot rate this business highly enough. Firstly, I bought the Canon R5 Mark II camera body, secondly the RF 100-500mm f4.5-7.1 L USM lens with the Canon RF 1.4x extender.
1) First rate service.
2) Excellent prices.
3) Excellent communication throughout the whole process.
4) No problems registering the kit with Canon.
I waited between 2-3 weeks before receiving my orders. When I emailed James for an update on the delivery status, he responded immediately and even informed me as soon as the tracking was live.
Some reviewers have made reference to grey imports. Personally, I think that this a grey area, particularly when you see what this equipment is priced at overseas. Perhaps the UK customer has been controlled for too long by a photographic cartel of retailers, here at home!
I cannot fault my experience with GearClix and can only wholeheartedly recommend them to other prospective buyers. Take a look, you will not be disappointed. I for one will certainly be back at some point.
I can only wish GearClix, James and his colleagues long and continued success. Many thanks.

Lies & deception
Waited 4 weeks for my item to arrive & still no sign of it, when emailed Gearclix for the second time I was given yet another delivery date which will be the third one from the one given with the original order, I can appreciate they are a grey market company & this was more likely than not going to happen but it's still very disappointing all the same. I have now asked for a refund so I can purchase my camera from a more reputable company so watch this space for refund updates....Received my refund only 3 days after request, it's worth mentioning James in customer care once more as his Valliant efforts are the only redeeming feature of this Car-crash of a company.

My experience with GearClix
I ordered 2x Nikon lens and a Teleconverter from GearClix, the prices are very good. There was a query and a delay but GearCLix dealt with this issue really well. I would recommend buying from GearClix and would use them again.

Safe delivery of expensive lens
I bought a specialist long zoom lens from this business. The price was fantastic, presumably being a direct import. Communications were excellent, with James replying promptly to my emails. Delivery was slow, but given the price I got the lens for, that is something I am prepared to live with.

Took too Long to Arrive...
I recently bought a lens from this website.
The Price still better than every site i visited.
It took more than 4 weeks to arrive due to some issues with Royal Mail
Please don't order if you are in a rush. 😅
The communication was spotless, They gave me all the details and reasons for the delay.
I had never waited so long for an online purchase
At the end, the lens arrived, and I'm happy with my purchase,

Like most reviewers here I was a little sceptical about ordering my Nikon P1100 from a website I'd never heard of but I'm absolutely delighted with my new camera and still can't believe the more than reasonable price I've paid for it. Due to being on the school holiday childcare rota I've hardly had much time to 'play' with it but really looking forward to taking it on safari next month. One of the main reasons for purchasing it!
Before ordering I'd rang with a query and to check there was actually a human at the end of the line and there was, a reassuring and polite James who answered my query. There were just the appropriate number of emails advising of delivery and delivery was within the timescale. I didn't have to, but I felt confident I could make contact at anytime by phone or email and would get an instant response.
So all in all I'm really happy with my camera to date, with the service from and communication with Gear Clix and wouldn't hesitate to use them again or to recommend them. I will of course update this review if there're any negative issues but I really don't forsee any. Thank you Gear Clix for a great service and my super new camera at such an amazing price.

The best website for great savings
I recently bought a Fujifilm XH2S camera from the Gearclix website, and it was an amazing experience. When I discovered the website, I wasn't sure if it was a legitimate site or a scam, as it was relatively new and I had never ordered from them before. I did some research, and I gained confidence that it was a legitimate website. I ordered the camera on 3rd July, and the delivery took longer than expected as there was a problem with the package. The customer service was great. James was providing great communication, which made the whole process a lot easier.
I have bought it at such a cheap price compared to other websites can't believe it's cheaper than a used price from other websites.
I would recommend this website and will continue to use the service in the future.

I'm always sceptical using a new company for big value purchases and am aware of the "If it looks too good to be true it probably is" syndrome. However I am more than satisfied with the whole procedure of two large transaction which I've completed very recently with Gearclix. Yes, like others I did experience a small delay with my first purchase but the communication with the company was professional and excellent so I no hesitation in making a further larger purchase "knowing the score"in advance. James is doing a great job and with a little tweak to his business model by extending the expected delivery times by a few days to his customers that will noticeably reduce the numbers of " late delivery "queries that he has to handle every day..I WILL BE USING THE COMPANY AGAIN,trust me.. WELL DONE JAMES..

Great camera and price, fast email responses
I ordered a Canon IOS R100 at a really competitive discounted price from GearClix, There were some delays in the delivery date which caused me some concern but when I emailed James at GearClix he was very quick with his responses to reassure and update me. I finally received my camera, later than expected but it was very well packaged and arrived safely by signed for Royal Mail. Very happy with my camera and the great price!

Great communication and product
I recently purchased an Olympus camera from this seller. I was a little skeptical at first, as I hadn’t used the website before, but I placed my order on 6th July. Although delivery was delayed by a week, the item arrived on 24th July as promised. Communication with James was prompt and reassuring throughout, which helped ease any concerns. The camera arrived in excellent condition and at a very competitive price. I’m very pleased with the purchase and will definitely be returning to the website to browse for more gear in the future!

It worked out to be fine
Originally sceptical because of the price (obviously going to be a grey import for a lens that much under RRP), but reviews seemed mostly good.
The item did arrive as ordered but the shipping updates were strange - they claimed that Royal Mail had the parcel but weren't updating the shipping status for over a week.
I can't really fault the price or the communication as they did reply to web chats, and it did eventually arrive when they gave me an estimate, just the uneasiness from the shipping as described above. Also it does take a while but this much I expected.

Genuine Products at a Great Price
Like others, I was wary of ordering from this company. However, I phoned the number on their website and spoke to a polite man (I think it was James) who explained the items I wanted were in stock. N.B. GearClix's website said the items were in stock and allowed me to select next day pick up from the address in Bristol. However, the man I spoke to said it could take 4 working days to arrive from their UK-based warehouse (ultimately imported from somewhere like Hong Kong at some point - but don't be put off by that). This wasn't a problem for me, but just bear in mind; if you're collecting from the address in Bristol, give them a call before placing the order to confirm the actual date the items can be collected. I'm glad I did as I was travelling 110 miles to collect them.
I placed the order and the items arrived as planned. I received an email and phone call from their customer service team advising the items were ready for collection (don't rely on the tracking information from the Shopify app - it still shows the order is "on it's way" as of 20th June, today is 19th July). The pick up point is indeed an off licence but an increasing number of small shops now provide services for the likes of Amazon returns etc so perhaps this isn't actually that strange. The items were in Canon original boxes with security seals intact and appear to be legitimate, unused, and brand new items.
The reason for the delay in leaving this review is so I could actually use the items and report back. I ordered three Canon RF lenses and a Canon R6 Mark II camera body. I took them to the rugged landscape of La Palma (Canary Islands) for some demanding astrophotography. I'm pleased to say they all worked superbly without any problems and I've captured some incredible photos of the Milky Way. In my opinion these are genuine Canon products.
One word of caution: when I went to collect the items I was asked to provide ID (driving licence in my case). I can understand doing so (to prove I'm the right person to give the items to and *showing* ID is mentioned in the pick up terms and conditions) but a *photo* of my ID was taken. It was not made clear at the time why this was necessary. I emailed GearClix later that day and received a very prompt and detailed reply. I've only copied the main points below:
"As part of our standard security procedure, we capture a photograph of a valid photo ID at the time of order pickup. This measure is implemented to verify the authenticity of the transaction and to maintain a secure record, which is retained for a period of 6 months from the date of pickup. This helps us to effectively resolve any potential disputes raised through the payment gateway. After the 6 month period, all associated records are permanently and securely deleted from our system."
Understandable. If that makes you uneasy though, then have the order delivered to your address (N.B. as I collected from them due to time constraints, I can't confirm they won't ask to take a photo of your ID when they arrive). GearClix you should consider updating your T&Cs to explain a *photo* of the ID will be taken.
Overall though, I had a very positive experience and would use GearClix again; they provided the best value for money with very good customer service. Thank you!

Great company to deal
They were very easy to deal with (Friendly, respectful, accommodating and quick response to my queries), Great value for money but product delivery may not be the fast best but was kept up to date on the progress of my order. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Ordered a Fuji GF80 lens from Gearclix .They had answered all my questions very promptly and replied to emails almost by return . The lens arrived on the due delivery date and I was able to track delivery throughout . This was a bew product at an extremely competitive orice . An excellent service . Highly recommend .

Great service if you don't mind waiting!
Like everyone else I was a little bit worried placing an order with Gear Clix but after reading reviews here and on the Shop app I went ahead and placed an order for Nikon Z6III.
It was definitely the best price I'd found at the time of placing the order (16th of June 2025)
The estimated window for delivery was between 26th of June and 1st of July.
After not receiving anything on the 1st of July I contacted Gear Clix via email (couldn't get through them via the phone number).
James replied and explained the situation which put me at ease!
Because of the kate delivery, James offered a discount on the already paid order!
It was extremely kind of him to offer as it didn't even cross my mind to ask as I understand delays happen!
Overall it took over 3 weeks for the camera to be delivered (8th of July) so if you don't mind waiting and want to save some money definitely order from Gear Clix!
Highly recommended!.

At the beginning
At the beginning, I was very skeptical about Gearclix but everything turned out very well. Started with a Canon R5 Mark II camera body then RF 70-200 Lens and today received my third order for RF 200-800 Lens. Back to back three order and received everything. James was very helpful during the journey from start to finish for all 3 orders. He kept me updated whenever I needed information either on call or email and that helped me to be relaxed.
My only suggestion is to reduce your delivery time and you will be unbeatable in the market for professionals like me.
Highly recommended!
