great lens, slow delivery

I ordered a lens for my camera which I needed by a certain day for a trip abroad. Based on the delivery time on the website I decided to buy it there. In the week of my trip I enquired if it would definitely arrive on time. I was ensured it would arrive either Friday or Saturday by 1pm. I received the tracking number, however, the lens only got shipped from Bristol on Saturday and didn’t arrive on time for my trip which was really frustrating. After returning and using the lens, I can say it’s great and in perfect condition. I would however hope that shipping a lens to London from Bristol when it says it’s in stock wouldn’t take almost 2 weeks

Top marks for customer service!

Probably the best customer service I've had the good fortune to receive, at least in the area of purchasing photographic equipment.
Having once fallen foul, many years ago now, of a dodgy (US based) discount camera website, I do absolutely get the trepidation people have about online shopping generally, and new, little known companies in particular. I was hesitant and did some basic checks on the internet but, like others, was still apprehensive.
I would like to reassure prospective customers that GearClix is a legitimate company and, moreover, the service I received was above and beyond. Their location, as per their website, is - as it happens - a few miles away in my home city of Bristol, so I opted to collect my Sony bridge camera in person. However, 24 hours before scheduled pick-up, I had a problem with an unexpected clash of commitments, so contacted them to rearrange. The response was helpful, accommodating, quick and efficient and a revised time was agreed for one day later, but then shortly afterwards they got back to me again to say they would be happy to deliver to my front door, if I would prefer. I accepted, and then to my further surprise got a call a day earlier than stated to say that if I was at home to receive it my order could be dropped off within half an hour or so, which it was. Proper security check by the very courteous driver, photographed my driving licence ID, and no charge for the service.
Doesn't get any better than that. As a (presumably) fairly recently established company, they are evidently working hard to establish a reputation for providing good service and in my own case you have to say they could not be faulted. Good stock availability, competitive prices, top service. Strongly recommended.

Reassurance from a nervous buyer

After much trepidation, I ordered Canon RF200-800. The significant price difference helped tempt me. I found it difficult to find reviews of Gear Clix, hence the nervousness in using them. I accepted the timescale for delivery which was similar to other companies offering better prices than major outlets. Unfortunately there was an issue with item weight on posting, which delayed arrival as well as Easter and May bank holidays. A 4 star rating would be a little unfair despite this hiccup. My nerves have settled now my lens has arrived.

Exercising Caution Recommended

Tried to find out why the company operates from an "off Licence" in Bristol, left a message on website but no response.
ADDENDUM Someone did respond to my message but did not answer the question I posed. Subsequently received a call from someone who tried to reassure me that the company was legit but seemed very reluctant to give me details about the company, its admin centre or where goods were kept in the UK. I eventually got an address in Croydon for the HQ but when I looked up this address it's a large building and no company named Gear clix is named in the list of companies in the building. I also did some research about the company and there are two interesting reviews on these sites gridinsoft.com and scam-detector.com
I have withdrawn the Scam comment in fairness to the company, but I think they should be more transparent about details of the company and to reassure those considering spending several hundred or indeed thousand pounds on equipment.

Execllent communication from the owner

Excellent communication from the owner. Despite a a delay in delivery I was kept updated on a dailly basis. Having bought camera kit from abroad before delays are common thing so I was half expecting one.

The main difference to other experiences with delays was the reassuring communication.

Perfect Service

I already had one XA60B but needed a second for a two-camera live-stream, and I needed it quite quickly. The price at GearClix was amazing, but the service was even better. It was all done by webchat on their website and delivery was promised on a particular day. The camera arrived on time. A big thank you to the team (sorry, I can't remember the chap's name I was dealing with, but he deserves a payrise!). I will be a returning customer when I need some new kit!

Great price and delivered on time

I was a little apprehensive placing a high value order with such a new company but GearClix despatched my Canon R1 exactly as they said they would and it arrived within the claimed timeframe. The only small issue is that the battery charger cable has a two-pin plug rather than a UK plug, but this could be easily managed with an adapter (I actually have a spare cable anyway). The price advantage from GearClix was substantial and the communication was good and accurate.
