German with Laura Avaliações

Like many people, I started learning German by using an app on my phone. But it didn’t take very long before what I was “learning” made no sense. There was no explanation for why certain word groupings were used or why certain articles were used in place of others.

I stumbled onto Laura’s free “Unlocking German Grammar” course. Though limited in scope, I saw that she has the ability to break down a language with some complicated rules into chunks that were more easily understood. So, for me, it was a logical move to carry on with her paid course, “German Foundations”.

As good an instructor as she is, this is not an easy course. You may have to review each video lesson multiple times to get the concept covered in a particular lesson. And there’s lots of exer

A well planned program of excellent grammar modules quite obviously assembled with care after many years of teaching the language.

Learning German language can be intimidating. Using German with Laura approaches learning rather differently with unique but detailed visual charts, with in-depth knowledge transfer and thoroughly explained fundamentals and concepts that can only come from an expert that she is. I can recommend her methods to anyone out there who is lost in the confusion and struggling to make progress while "learning in tears" elsewhere. Thank you Laura for demystifying and making German language fan to learn and a wonderful experience.

I recently completed Laura’s German Foundations 1 course and have now gone on enthusiastically to her German Foundations 2 course. I unfortunately had terrible German teachers in high school and college, which turned me off from learning the language. Finally, I have found a fantastic German teacher. Laura is phenomenally organized, clear, methodical, systematic, enthusiastic, and fun in her teaching. And most importantly, she has the rare quality of being a remarkably EMPATHETIC instructor. That is, she immediately recognizes what concepts are especially challenging for her students and pays special attention to bridge those conceptual gaps. Laura’s German Foundations 1 course was unquestionably worth the cost in money and effort. Although I have only just begun her German Foundations 2 course, I’m already certain that that course will also have been completely worthwhile, with money well spent.

This is the only course that I have attended thus far that teaches grammar in a systematic way that is easy to understand and makes sense to beginners like me.

I just finished the first course. She makes the information really easy to understand and digest. I highly recommend anyone trying to learn German to take the course. I was able to understand so much more with her explaining it than I have been with any text book. Completely worth the investment.

Laura's methodical approach and use of patterns helped me tremendously. I had been learning German through an online course that favored vocabulary and speech. While it was helpful, the grammar was scattered throughout the course and I couldn't see connections. With Larua's method, I am beginning to fit it all together and understand more because I recognize the patterns. The resource books are so helpful as well. I purchased the books as well as downloaded them but having physical copies made it much easier to use and refer back to tables and information.

Laura's class is very methodical and revolutionary. I've already seen results when I go back to use Duolingo or other apps. Her charts are a godsend for truly understanding the methodolgy behind German grammar. Highly recommeded for the serious language student.

The German foundations course from Laura, is a master piece for any student interested in learning German. it offers the best grammatical foundation, and more so the course focuses on how best the learner can benefit and internalise the content. its a "Vade Meecum" for any German language learning student.

This is a very approachable introduction to German grammar, with the basic concepts clearly explained in English. The workbook is very helpful. It is great to be able to go back and re-watch videos too. I finally feel it is possible to understand German grammar after many years of trying!

Just wow! I did the first course a few years ago now and struggled with the second course and gave up. However after a resent trip to Germany I decided to redo the first course, which I unbelievable smashed in a few days! It was all in my head I just needed reminding! Which has made me realise practice practice practice!! I am annoyed with myself because I could of spoken more German if I had practiced before, whilst in Germany. Oh well it just means another trip there when I complete gf2 which I started again today, strangely enough, my brain gets the bits I "thought" I didnt in the first module. They are both great courses and worth every penny in my eyes. I love the way Laura teaches.

If you are learning German solo, this course will lay the foundations very quickly so that the language is instinctively recognisable. Laura's fun and upbeat character compliment an innovative well presented grammar course for a language which is arguably difficult for most people to learn.
Thoroughly recommend.
G.H. adult learner.

This is a very systematic, logical approach to German grammar. Laura is a fantastic teacher and makes a complex topic surmountable. I can't imagine learning German grammar any other way.

This course WORKS! I'm so impressed with the amount I've learned in such a short amount of time. I went from knowing almost zero German, to being able to make sense of (and actively apply) German grammar rules within just a couple of weeks.

The materials Laura has created are brilliant, and wow, she is a *skilled teacher*. She introduces new information in a way that's entirely approachable and surprisingly effective. Plus, she's available to answer questions directly! She's honestly one of the best teachers I've ever had.

I could go on and on, I legitimately love this course and I am so grateful for the work she put into helping people like me actually achieve their goal of learning German. It is 100% worth every penny. Thank you, Laura!

Brilliant Breakdown of German Language
Seriously, I'm so happy I came across Laura and found her courses. I've lived in Germany (before apps) and tried multiple times to improve, but usually end up disheartened.
The Key with Laura's methods is identifying simplified Patterns within German, and explaining them clearly, with ample practice exercises in multiple formats. Even as an experienced leaner who has tested at B2 level, I know that I don't have the understanding of B2 grammar. While this does go back over some material, it's extremely valuable! This is the foundation you need to understand the principles of German and apply it to whatever you'd like: work, fun, reading, watching tv...
Excited to continue, and now feeling confident that attaining fluency is possible, and it isn't a huge chunk of spreadsheets and giant book of verb conjugations. Highly recommend!

I recently began my journey into to learning another language. I started out bouncing between two apps on my phone in addition to picking up some books. Although I was picking up and learning vocabulary, none of the resources were doing a great job explaining the rules of the language. I stumbled upon German with Laura on youtube and just from the short free lesson, I learned quite a bit. Naturally I signed up for germans foundations course and it has been amazing. She makes it so easy to understand. I am a 1/4 of the way through and can't wait to purchase the second course. If you are serious about learning german grammar then I highly recommend this course.

Laura simplifies learning, she breaks down everything and explains in details the formation of sentences in German making it very easy to understand. She is the best . I recommend anyone learning German to study with Laura.

Communicating in German is like a puzzle and this course teaches you the grammatical foundational pieces that are required so that you can effectively put the puzzle pieces together to understand German. German Foundations 1 is, by far, the most satisfying and fulfilling German language course that I’ve taken. I’ve purchased German Foundations 2 and I’m looking forward to the next course to help me on this language-learning journey!

The approach is excellent, it's better compared to learning German from other applications. Laura is the best 👌 👍

I spend a lot of time on Duo Lingo because it gives me (as far as I know and such as it is) my best practical chance to hear and speak German myself. I'll admit though that I have not yet investigated dict.leo.org. But what I'm getting out of DL is 2 or 3 times what I think most get out of it (indirectly at best) because I'm much better able to see what DL tries to do based on the grammar details taught to me by my "almost personal private" teacher, Dr. Laura.
