German with Laura Avaliações

Astonishing course. How to integrate my basis of German. German is structured so diffenrently from from my two languages (native French and English). This course has changed my approach. It was a foreign language. It is becoming part of me. Very efficient.

The best grammar course I've ever seen.

Clear explanations with tons of examples, and exercises.

I love this woman! She taught me more in the first day than I learned on Duolingo in three months! Things you really need to know BEFORE diving in! Great course!

I have just finished German Foundations I so thought I would write a review. Laura is an absolutely first rate teacher. Her lessons are extremely clear, well paced and anticipates difficulties that the student might have. The course materials are also of a high standard. But you do have to work and concentrate hard to get the best out of it. I have been using it in parallel with Duolingo, which is good for pronunciation & vocab but not grammar. If you are serious about learning German grammar properly this is the course for you. I have already signed up for the Foundations II follow on course

I took the improved, updated version of German foundations, and it was great. The new aids and materials really reinforced my learning. The method is so effective and enjoyable!

German Foundation 1 was a true eye opener. It becomes so intuitive as the course goes on. I have learnt a lot that I have actually been able to remember. I have read some external texts, which I do not completely understand but can pick out different grammar rules in the text. I have now progressed to GF2 which is continuing the high standard of German learning that is now expected from Laura and crew/family.
Yesterday, after having a break from learning for some time, I had a slight problem with a particular grammar point, but a quick revisit of the relevant section in GF1 and now I am back on track with German Foundations 2. I cannot recommend Laura's courses highly enough.

What an excellent course! Laura is a fantastic teacher, and although I have been trying to learn German for a long time, because of the German Foundations 1 Course I finally feel that I am starting to understand the language. I would strongly recommend this course to anyone who is seeking to learn the building blocks of the German language.

Phenomenal. Laura's course reflects why I was drawn to learning to learn German in the first place: efficient, pattern-based, structural. I feel so lucky in that I found her course at the beginning of my German (ultra)learning project. I think that she may have saved me months of frustration. I'm beyond pleased. Highly recommended.

Just finished German Foundations 1, and I feel so empowered. I'm astounded at what I've learned in this course. I'm even more astounded at the ease with which I've learned it. Laura breaks this info down into "bite-sized chunks" that are so easy to take in and understand! She's also super encouraging, and she makes the course fun. I almost feel as if I were taking this class in person. The provided course materials are first rate, as well; they will be a welcome resource for years to come!

I'm super excited to begin GF2! Learning German has always been on my "to do" list, and I feel as though I'm definitely on my way to crossing that entry off as "done"! Thank you Laura!

LOVE how Laura simplifies the learning of difficult elements of German grammar!

I also love that Laura is upfront about the fact that learning German (as with any foreign language acquisition) requires students to “do the work”.

The promise of becoming “fluent in 3 months” isn’t very realistic IMHO, and I much prefer to lay a solid foundation upon which to build, as can be done with Laura’s German Foundations course and German Foundations ll.

I am in the midst of Laura's German Foundations Two. It is well worth the price of admission. I personally find some of the fine points of German grammar to be difficult, but on her videos Laura discusses them clearly with examples, as well as practice exercises. The great thing is you can watch each video as often as you want to aid in your understanding, and questions you submit are promptly answered. The Resource Guide book, with its charts and shortcuts, is awesome.

After watching Laura's YouTube videos about 1.5 years ago, I realized her approach was the only way I would ever be able to learn German and I purchased her original foundations course. It was great then and has been updated with improvements since I joined. Even with all the information Laura has on YouTube for free, the course was extremely worth it. I actually don't know how it's possible to learn German without the rule simplifications she teaches. I now apply this foundational knowledge to every other learning approach I use, and honestly think doing Laura's class first has made my other studying at least 4x more effective. That's important because I'm not immersed and have limited time. I can now communicate in many basic situations, which is amazing compared to where I started. All in all this was a highly worthwhile investment!

I have been trying to learn German for years, and tried so many different online language courses/apps, you name it, I tried it! and spent a small fortune in the process.

This has been the only course that has worked and made any sense at all. I learnt more in a few lessons, than I have in years using other learning methods. So much effort has been put into the course, and the course materials. I would definitely recommend anyone who was stuck like me and about to give up, to try this course.

Excellent course that offers more bang for your buck then any other course i have participated in. i am a British guy who has come to germany to study German in a German intergration method but found the teachers just give you lots of exercises and expect you to automatically grasp the complex German language structure on your own, this left me overwhemingly confused. After doing this course with laura she explains allthe whys and gives you a firm set of tools as a foundation that turned everything around for me, I feel a lot more confident after doing this course. Highly recommended! Even if you habve a high level each section with give you eye opening AHA moments, its really satisfying. Go for it! Get the course!

I've tried many other ways of trying to get my head around German grammar and didn't get there. Laura's methods really work for me!

My only experience with German has been a few months of Duolingo, but I began to quickly get confused with the cases and genders which Duolingo provides NO support for. I then tried to branch out to textbooks, but was only met with the same "Just remember this" with no rhyme or reason!

Laura's course acknowledges the issues that German learners run into, and gives logical patterns and ways to remember grammar points that just make sense! The exercises along each video are super helpful and are a great way to drill how patterns work, so you can stop being confused at the cases and genders and conjugations. Her charts are handy, minimal with no fuss, and are MUCH better than the traditional excessive German textbook charts.
This was well worth the purchase, as it is much cheaper than an actual German beginner college class which would confuse you with the textbook style teaching. If you are starting out with German grammar, I highly recommend this!

Laura explains German grammar in a very clear and structured way. She has put a lot of effort into developing tools that help you absorb the main concepts. I do have questions every now and again but each lesson also has a discussion forum and so far my question has already been asked and, again, very clearly and simply explained. Added bonus: Laura responds very quickly to your questions. This was definitely money well spent.

This is the best German course I've ever taken! Logical, practical and systematic, I highly recommend it!

I absolutely love Lauras way of teaching, I decided to begin learning German with her first German Foundations course which i absolutely loved and ended up also purchasing her Vocab builder beta course as well as her German Foundations 2 course. I have always struggled to stay focused and listen for long periods of time, however Lauras teaching methods and her personality make it so easy for me to keep my attention. Thank you so much Laura! I couldnt recommend her enough!
