Thank you Laura, I have not regret any second that I spent with you. I was thinking that it could be challenging to learn German from English. But you explain everything super basic and the way powerful. Actually I am thinking that you give me additional knowledge on English gramer while you are teaching German. I definitely recommend to take your courses for every one from 0 level to German teachers. Knowing something not mean that you can teach it properly. You inspired me a lot, and I will be using most of those technics to learn other topics as well.

The German Foundations class has been most helpful
as I have been taking Duolingo but they don't really explain anything and German grammar is very complicated. Laura make it very understandable with easy to follow lessons. I would highly recommend her
as a teacher.

Laura explains complex material in a gradual, systematic and detailed manner. Each step is accompanied by practice that allows you to internalize what was learned at your own pace.

Although I've only studied a third of the course so far, I state that Laura is definitely one of the best teachers I've ever had!

Laura has produced an excellent course on learning German Foundations, that is grammar. The daunting topics of gender, declension and conjugations etc. are very well covered in a very clear way. Having completed the course I feel much more knowledgeable and confident in these matters. In fact I have developed an instinct for what is right, which Laura said I would. The tables to make selection of gender and plurals are so clever and helpful. Well done Laura. I fully recommend this course. It is also fun to do!

I really can't recommend Laura's Grammar foundations course enough. Although I'm at B1 level I had no real idea about grammar and it completely overwhelmed and confused me. I never really learned grammar in English and was extremely intimidated and frustrated by it in German and now (it's so strange to say) I actually feel that I get it. Laura's course really is great and she teaches all of the grammar concepts from first principals - not assuming that you can or do remember anything from your high school grammar.

German with Laura has really helped me better understand the German grammar. Everything is so well and simply explained, and it's generally very easy to follow along. I'm very happy with the time I spent learning with Laura!

Laura's teaching style is exactly what I seek, however, the pricing is an issue. For instance, with an average salary of $300 a month in my country, it's not feasible to spend on a course while still affording basic necessities like food and shelter. This makes piracy a common solution for many.

Regional discounts could be a solution to make the course more affordable for people in areas with lower average salaries. For example, Laura could offer a discount to students in certain countries where the average salary is lower, or she could offer a discount to students in specific regions where the cost of living is lower. This could make the course more accessible and affordable for a wider range of people.

To prevent people from taking advantage of the regional discount when they don't deserve it, the following measures could be taken:

Verification process: Requiring proof of residency (Phone Number for example) for the discount could ensure that only those who truly need it are receiving it.

IP tracking: Using IP tracking to determine the location of the user could prevent individuals from accessing the course from a different region and taking advantage of the discount.

Terms of Use agreement: Including a clause in the terms of use agreement that states that attempting to take advantage of the discount in an unauthorized manner is grounds for termination of access to the course could serve as a deterrent.

I really loved the way this course was organized and broken down into managable pieces. Laura has so much enthusiasm for the language and I really enjoy her teaching style.

I love the all in one declensions chart because instead of several charts I have just 1 now. This is therefore much easier to learn. She explains exactly how to use it of course. So for that alone I decided to learn German with her content. The free content on the blog and the free course showed me how grammar actually works, in ways you can understand without much trouble. And the 1st paid course covered again the grammar in easy to understand and step by step. I learned a ton and best of all the terminology and tables/charts, etc., don't confuse me anymore.

My personal preference was to study the free stuff first. So then the paid course was much easier and quicker to follow because I already had a general idea of things.

The course is very useful and easy to understand. After each lesson has a little quiz which helps me to strengthen the understanding of it. I'm now not afraid of using 'der', 'die' & 'das' and learning the gender now. REALLY, no need to memorize it. Laura really has a simple principle for us to distinguish the gender of the vocabulary. Thank you very much, Laura.

As a retired elementary teacher with 32 years experience, I know what a great educator is and Laura is it! I've tried Rosetta Stone, all the German apps, online courses, you name it, I've tried it. Even though I'm in the early stages of German Foundations, Laura has a way of breaking the German language down so you are not so overwhelmed! She's the real deal! Try it, what have you got to lose?

The foundation course has provided me with a light bulb moment, rekindled my interest in learning German and provided me with the tools to understand the rhymes and reasons of the German language. I had been learning lots of vocabulary via free online platforms but was constantly frustrated by the lack of why. This course has resolved that issue. The course delivery is very engaging and Laura provides all the resources necessary to progress my learning. I am thoroughly enjoying the course and am more confident in my ability to understand and speak the German language

After hitting a few of the shortcomings in a paid Duolingo subscription, an on-line search led me to Laura's site. Laura's free 1-hour sample will give you a good idea of her approach. Before you pay, she tells you "learning German is hard!" She is not exaggerating... however, her approach is, imo, the best if your intent is to actually learn, speak, read and write the language properly, not just hack your way through it. Instead of diving in and learning words... and guessing your way through use of language elements, Laura teaches you the basic foundations, or principles of the language so that you understand the "why" and the "how" to get to the proper phrasing. German is a very complex language, I am about halfway through the first paid course, and I already know I will be taking the second. After that, I am going to make the investment in on-line instruction.

I am a native English speaker, and I have been living in Germany for 3 years. And during this time I have taken up to A2 German classes. I struggled with grasping the concept of Dative and Akkusitive cases, and no matter how the cases were explained, nothing made sense, and nothing stuck. Until I found Laura's course. I realized that for 3 years, German grammar was ONLY explained to me by German professors. As a native English speaker, I had a different grammar foundation then them, so it was never explained in a way that I understood. My advice I would give is, if you are a native English speaker wanting to learn German, have German grammar explained by a native English speaker. It changes EVERYTHING.

Get this course! Whether you:
1) Are new to German - this course is what you need because, as the name says, it sets the Foundation that you want and need moving forward.
2) Have been studying German already - this course will clear up those confusions we inevitably face, and get you on the right track to advance. I've seen a fair amount of German learning materials and methods before - but this course is unique in explaining how German works. Laura has created an innovative approach that makes sense - and works!

Laura makes learning German much easier than any other site or App I've tried. She simplifies the complexity and provides very useful information and tools to assist the language learning experience.

A very good introduction to basic German grammar. Laura has found her own system here.

The disadvantage is that only parts of the course are useful for those who have studied German before. I myself am A2 and then you know concepts such as Gender, Case, Accusative and Dative.

I benefited from about half of the lessons, the rest was just repetition of things I already knew. My German level is appr. A2.1

If I had done the course ten months ago, the grade would have been 5 stars.
