German with Laura Avaliações

I have taken in-class lessons with two very famous language schools, and I have also tried multiple online resources to learn German, and it was not much use. I was utterly impressed when I saw Laura's lessons, the passion with which she gives the lessons, and the way she structures the lessons. I can confidently say I have benefited from Laura's classes more than all the schools and online resources combined; this is no exaggeration.

I have no words to describe it. Laura is amazing! I've been studying German for 1 year now and have gone through a world of different channels and methods, besides an intensive face-to-face course, all using conventional methods and having as a rule the terrible "memorize, memorize, memorize!". I was already discouraged and aimless. Then I found one of Laura's videos on YouTube and decided to sign up for "Unlocking German Grammar". It was clear from the first video that this was exactly what I needed! The method developed by Laura is really unique and made me FINALLY understand points of German grammar that I simply could not with conventional methods! I recommend it without a doubt to everyone! The slogan says it all: Learn German smarter, not harder! Congratulations Laura! I will definitely continue with German Foundations 2!

Very clear and definitive explanations... easy to follow. Great communication style for a native English speaker like me!

Do not hesitate to sign up for German with Laura. Laura's delivery in the sessions is so clear and accessible. I never thought I would begin to understand the German noun genders and cases, but Laura offers resources and strategies which use patterns and colour coding and this visual way of learning along with the videos is so effective. Moreover, revisiting videos to reinforce, recap and establish learning is so useful.
I am really enjoying this learning process with Laura.

I took German in HS and college and have traveled to Germany several times but never used it consistently enough to become confident in the language. I recently wanted to give some dedicated effort to do self-paced learning and started my research for options and that's how I found Laura.

I started with her free "Unlocking German Grammar" course as well as her 3hr Youtube video. I knew at the conclusion of those that she was the instructor for me and I purchased her German Foundations 1 course which I'm roughly half way through. You could tell within the first minute of her videos that she is passionate about helping her students learn and she genuinely enjoys teaching. I've reached out to her several times via email and she is always quick to reply and offer guidance.

If you're interested in learning German and hesitant to give her a try then I encourage you to try her free resources first. I'm sure you'll be just like me and get excited to learn the language and jump into her Foundations courses.

Highly recommended.
A few years ago, after I retired, I decided to teach myself German to help keep my mind active. It seemed a good idea as English and German derived from the same ancient language. I assumed much similarity in vocabulary and structure.
After a few years of using various apps to learn vocabulary, I more or less gave up. Declension and cases were just too difficult. Then my wife saw Laura’s course and it turned out to be superb.
The course breaks grammar into small sections which are clearly explained in short video lessons. Educational psychologists say we can only concentrate effectively for ten to fifteen minutes ... just about the lengths of the videos. Unlike a formal course you can work through these as and when convenient.
The course comes with excellent notes and numerous exercises with answers. Any problems? Contact Laura and the answer returns within hours.
I am, at last, making progress at the age of 75. Brilliant program Laura, well done!

I am loving German with Laura. It is jam packed with information, delivered in a very organized and fun, flowing manner.

The best! I feel lucky to find Laura. She is best teacher and the only one for me after many year who is able to clear my German Grammar blocks and re-connecting with her lessons making some sense and logic. Absolutely brilliant! If a highly confused person like me can learn with her lessons any one do it :D.

This course is presented by a very personable Laura in palatable video segments with short quizzes, and recaps. The methodology is key. Laura teaches the broad center of the language, with concepts aimed at foundational building blocks and gaining confidence. This approach acknowledges learning a language is about comfortability, confidence, and a process for people of all ages. For me, it is an unfolding, with many small revelatory moments. Don't be afraid to start and, as important, enjoy the process that quickly builds a usable foothold.

Laura is the best online tutor available. Her method of instruction is unique and refreshing. She is obviously enthusiastic in the videos and her and her staff are very responsive to questions throughout the learning process. Her course provides complete instruction to the German language and grammar. She explains and provides the tools to apply when learning German. You cannot go wrong with downloading her course. Thank you so much Laura!!

This is absolutely the way to start when learning German. As an English major, seeing the grammar breakdown and how it is different than English grammar, helped me to look at German without the "English lens" that trips up German learners. I highly recommend this program.

I love Laura's course! It is so helpful to have German grammar thoroughly explained. Laura is so enthusiastic and her videos actually feel like you are on a conference call and she is teaching you live! Highly recommended!

Laura's German Foundations course takes an adult approach to learning German, instead of the usual brute force approach of other language apps.
Rather than repeat the same sentences over and over, only to forget them by the next lesson, this course groups concepts together which makes retention easier.

Unlocking German Grammar was a great course - it made me realize how to break down grammar basics into manageable, logical pieces. I have been tried other methods (Rocket German, Duolingo, Mango) with variable amounts of grammar review, but none were as comprehensive and helpful as German with Laura. Highly, HIGHLY recommend if you are serious about advancing to the next level in German!

I would strongly recommend the course for all beginners.
The course was very enjoyable and Laura's presentation style is excellent and held my attention all the time.
I wanted to learn to speak German as I visit quite often but didn't really know were to start and so searched YouTube for video's and eventually found Laura's free Unlocking German grammar course and decided to try it out.
It was an eye opener and I realised I needed to understand the logic and complexities of German grammar before starting to learn vocabulary and so decided to purchase the German Foundation course.
It took me about 3 weeks to complete the course, studying for 2 to 3 hours a day. I did have to redo several of the modules before it all sank in!
I feel it was good value for money and will do her follow up course when it comes out.

I have found Laura's German Foundations online course invaluable. I feel I'm getting a really concise and clear idea how German grammar works. I have been using other online learning tools (Duolingo, Coffee Break German etc), but really appreciate Laura's clear explanations of how the German language fits together. I highly recommend it!

If I could give 6 stars I would. I had been using Duolingo for 4 months. I felt like I was making progress with vocabulary, but I really didn't understand why sentences were structured the way they were. (And don't get me started on noun gender and why the gender seemed to change randomly. And words that had different endings depending on the sentence.) I tried Laura's free course and was hooked. Her teaching method was perfect for me and she made things so EASY! You will not come out of the class with perfect grammar skills. You will, however, have all the skills required to finally figure it out as you go. I still refer to notes and charts from the class a year later. She is an amazing teacher! FYI..This is not a German vocabulary/speaking class. This class is to learn-IN ENGLISH-the foundations of German grammar. You then take those skills with you when you use the language learning methods of your choice. You do not really need to know any German when starting this class because it is not a vocabulary class. You will be learning why German Grammar is the way that it is, and how it works so you can begin your language journey. This class would also work for more advanced speakers as a way to refresh your sentence structure and grammar skills.

This class offers some very valuable information which to my knowledge is not found elsewhere. I have taken several German language classes. Most would teach some basics and then let the student determine how to learn the information and apply it. This class offers outlines of how to learn the information and exactly how to use the information.

Simply I can say Laura is one of a kind. The way she teaches the material is very sophisticated and She helps you dive deep down into the bottom of the important Concepts. Now, I wont ever forget the Case system in german. She absolutely teaches you how to fish rather than just simply give you the fish. She gives you bird-eye view on German Language which gives you a lot of advantage when you start going to more advanced levels. She puts you on the right track where you could easily build upon the ideas and improve your German. If you are not that kind of people who is very good at memorizing or just like me you are some one who cannot memorize or easily forget if you haven’t understood the material, I definitely recommend you to give a try with Laura. One of the best.

When I started learning German I found it to be very frustrating because the structure is so different. All of the other German courses are great but there is a certain sequence that will make learning much easier. Michel Thomas is very good for sentence structure as well as Laura's German. I think it is best to understand German grammar and it is super important to understand the basic rules and differences of the languages. German with Laura is by far the best point to start learning German and done concurrently with Michel Thomas. This experience can be a lot of fun and it is important that you try to do a little German everyday and slowly you will inculcate this language. Be patient, persistent and enjoy. Laura is "GREAT"! I am only 79 in September but still learning!
