Found them to be great for drop off and pick up from Glasgow airport. I would say the automated telephone booking was a little novel and would prefer to talk to a person but overall very happy with the service I received

Cannot even get a taxi from then when booking via app or phone. The prices are inflated compared to other rival companies. Booked twice in one day and waited well over 40mins. Horrible experience. Uber and GlasGo are much easier, cheaper and faster.

Beware of this company saying you have a booking when you prebook a cab online. You almost definitely won't have. It pains me to say it but use Uber instead. They'll take your details and imply you are booked but, in reality, you'll be standing outside in the rain 15 minutes after your "booking" with your elderly parents while they 'still try and find a driver'. An accepted booking does not mean an accepted booking.

My daughter was visiting Glasgow for a few days. She booked a taxi online to take her to the coach station the next morning. The driver couldn't reach the station because of cycling competition in Glasgow. He knew nothing about it so dropped my daughter 15mins walk from the station. Glasgow Taxis have denied any responsibility for this saying they didn't know in advance of the city centre disruption. Oh come on - your are Glasgow's biggest taxi firm and you should have and could have known. Details were available on Glasgow city council website. Glasgow Taxi even tried to blame my daughter for not knowing herself about the cycling event at time of booking. That is pathetic and unacceptable. Shame on you.

No meters..set rate £60 to paisley private hire would be less than half the price.a real slight on the Glasgow name they bring the good citys name down.glasgow deserves better

Very poor. No eta and staff refused to give any indication of how long the wait would be. Turns out it was nearly an hour.

Avoid at all costs.

Robbed blind by a driver and after sending numerous emails to get a refund as I was advised by their operator I was overcharged by £8 and Glasgo Taxies completely refuse to deal with the problem... charged £15 for a 2 mile journey, literally daylight robbery

We have used this wonderful Taxi Firm all weekend and without exception every driver has been courteous, friendly and helpful and in fact today I left my purse in the taxi my friends and I were taking to Glasgow Central Station from The Crowne Plaza Hotel where we were catching the coach back to Carlisle as there were no trains running because of work on the line and the driver came all the way back to the train station to return my purse which I thought was absolutely amazing I don’t unfortunately know his name but I am so very grateful for his kindness. We will always use this Taxi Firm whenever we visit Glasgow and have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending them.

Consistently late, drivers who don't know the basics of the city. Increase prices by 30% because "they're busy" this is what happens when a corrupt city council allows one company to take over and create a monopoly

Pre-booked a taxi for 8.35. It was for a school run and then taking me to work. I had previously had to wait 15 min for a pre-booked service for a school run as well so tried to play it safe. The operator informed me the taxi would be there "as near to the time as possible". Called four times only to be told they are doing whatever they can. Taxi arrived at 9.05 and my son was late for school. Had they been honest and said, we cannot take pre-booked orders for peak times, I would have not chosen to go through with the booking. I complained and got an apology but no admission of "we have done something wrong" and refund was offered. Awful service. I feel sorry for the cab drivers as it is the booking system that is at fault, not them. 10 out of 10 times I have used Glasgow Taxis the drivers were lovely and most helpful, as was the one who in the end took me to my destination. I will never use them for pre-booking again.

If I could give it no stars I would. Booked Glasgow Taxis to pick us up at 22.00. From Kings Theatre Glasgow to get us to Central Station for train at 22.30. We waited and phoned - 3 times. The guy I spoke to told me that just because I booked it for 10pm that doesn't guarantee they will arrive at 10pm. They will pick us up when they have a driver available. The taxi turned up at 20.23 and we missed our train. Appalling. DO NOT USE

Pre booked Taxi as disabled. No taxi so I phoned number to be advised by non educated operator go to the taxi rank we don't take pre booking on the app. I advised I booked as I'm registered disabled only to be advised ... "what do you want me to do about that" ... you'll get a taxi at the rank.. I said I prebooked to be picked up at the door. Reply "GO TO THE TAXI RANK" THEN HUNG UP!

I was dropped off to a wedding and accidentally left a card, which had money inside, in the cab. The following day I called the company to explain. The receptionist explained that the driver was not working when I called but took my details and said they'd get back to me. I got a call later that day, after I'd left the city, from the driver to say he had the card, he had opened it, checked how much money was inside and was demanding a cut in order to return it to me. In the end, I had to agree to this in order to get anything back at all. An opened, damaged card with some money remaining was returned to the hotel in the end, though this was some time after I'd left the hotel.

They say "efficient and reliable ", the truth is pretty much the exact opposite. Before 'the virus' I could call them, and they would be there before I got to the bottom of the stairs. Now it's half an hour (if they turn up at all...and you need to cancel). The new phone booking system is useless. They've also started using the minicab mantra of "we'll try and get there for that time" for pre booking. For a black hack service this is laughable...not to mention wildly overpriced. If you're going to behave like a crappy service at least charge accordingly. Don't use them if you need to get anywhere in a hurry or on time.

Last night my wife pre booked a taxi due to an important appointment at Hospital this morning.

8:15am was the time we booked and when 8:15am came there were no texts to say it was on way, so we phoned to make sure it was still coming.

The Caller wasn't very good and sounded like she couldn't care less, as I said in the complaint letter she was as much help as Hellraiser would be at a Kids Balloon party.

Anyway, I complained and the email I got back basically said 2 things that I whole Heartly disagreed with

1 - Their description of Pre Booking (which isn't even explained on phone when you book), is that it's not a guarantee on times and they still see to other people on day (So people who phone on day can still get taxi's before a pre booked person?)

I disagree with that, I think the whole point of Pre Booking is to get the necessary requirement quicker, to secure your time. If they see it differently, then that should be explained, as simple as "Possible delays can Occur"

2 - They Blamed us for not doing more sooner, I was quite offended by that and said if we had Pre Booked Taxi for 7:30 instead of 8:15 and driver actually came on time, would we have the right to say "could you hold on for 45minutes as that's when we need to leave" (and yes that is the time we had to leave due to important Timed process we needed to do) and the answer to that would be absolutely not.

For the reviews Glasgow Taxis already have on Trustpilot, it's obvious they need to restructure, they need to be a lot more clear in what Pre Booking means and some of their staff need to work more on their People person skills.

The taxi was dispatched at 8:57am and the next text was at 9:01am saying they couldn't locate my Wife (yeah because she had to drive and leave car at the hospital).

So, lets say 35mins late for a Pre Booking and that in my eyes is simply not good enough

Pre arranged for returned flight. No taxi as driver did not wait. Flight was on time. We got through customs and baggage very quickly. This service is terrible. Will not use again. Your telephone system is pathetic.

My elderly mum is in a wheelchair and is housebound. It has taken two years of coaxing from me and my family to gently encourage her to come out for a quick lunch at her old favourite cafe. Today was that day. The Glasgow Taxi booked to take us to the cafe was an hour late. Nice driver. Nice apology from him. These things happen. Lunch went well and my mum was actually starting to talk about "next time". As we ordered our desserts I booked a cab for the return journey. TWO HOURS later we were still waiting. Each time I phoned for an update I was told they were "doing their best".
Glasgow Taxis are the only firm with wheelchair access that doesn't require the disabled passenger to get out of the chair but today proved how utterly unreliable they are at actually turning up. I was all ready to download and use their app for future bookings. That won't now be happening. My mum was getting more and more agitated as time went by. Eventually we had to phone my daughter to leave her work early to come to our rescue. We could have called a private hire company but that would have caused embarrassment and even more agitation to my mum who, bear in mind, hasn't been anywhere in over two years and wouldn't have been able to handle the embarrassment of decanting from wheelchair to taxi in front of a stranger. She now says she won't be going out again. This experience has put her back to square one. Disappointed doesn't begin to cover how we feel. Heartbroken by a ruined day and devastated that now my mum is, frankly, traumatised by the experience, so much so that she will likely never venture out again.

Booked a taxi two days in advance and was assured it would definitely be on time. Phoned when it didn’t turn up and was told they were busy and don’t guarantee a time . YES you did ! Explained we were going to Ovo Hydro and would miss the show we had waited a year for . Told I would get one when they can . Got a lift from hotel guests who were going there and they had also been let down from Glasgow taxis . Half way through the show they text to say they couldn’t locate us . Disgusting shambles of a company . Don’t ever book through them the hotel staff advised . Fuming !

Glasgow Taxi's operate a scam. The drivers routinely turn the meters off and give an up front quote, "take it or leave it." £40 meter-off to take me from Glasgow central station to Goals, near Drumchapel/Clydebank at 11pm on a Wednesday night.
This CONSISTENTLY happens every time I arrive to Glasgow on a train. No where else does this.
You also need to be aware of 30% boundary charges... if you cross a locality, they'll add a 30% charge - off the meter.

Used to be very happy with this cab company before they all linked up. It is very hit and miss as to whether you will get a taxi now. Several times I have been told there is a 30 minute wait, to then call back 30 minutes later to chase up when the cab would arrive - only to then be told they had no record of my booking... always sounds like the same guy who does not book the service. Last time I was stranded on a street for 1 hr and 10 minutes before giving up.. I also do not appreciate the doubtful way you are spoken to when they have lost the booking. Company is getting worse as now impossible to speak to an actual person - always referring your to log online and book... Do they even consider those who do not have online access.
